Rellik San spooky_sez Rellik San spooky_sez Rellik San Yeah but its widely accepted (though never mentioned) that Dracula was Vlad who was cursed by god for desecrating a church.
That's a bit of a harsh punishment after all the good stuff Dracula did for god. What a jerk! Won't even let him vent his anger that his lady-fan killed herself! Poor guy.Gods actually fairly vicious, I mean this is a guy who basically set Lucifer up for the fall, Wiped out nearly all human life because he wasn't happy with the way it had gone, and when god basically told Caine a blood sacrifice was required because anything grown from the ground of Nod was tainted, so Caine sacrificed the dearest thing to him, his own brother Abel as God decreed it and God cursed Caine for that. So yeah... harsh punishments is what god does. Now now, don't say that, it means I don't exist, which means a good chunk of gaia has been talking to a non-entity. biggrin Yes I think of myself as a god.

i love vampires!!!!!! plus lost boys is one of my favorite movies.
i've been wanting to be a vampire since i was 11.
hehe, as soon as i graduate/move out, i want to get canine extensions. then my friend and i are getting vampire bit tattoos with each other's initials next to it. i love my vampire buddy! heart

I personaly think vampires are tied to Goths because of the way they are portrayed in the movies, a Gothic setting, a creature of darkness, misunderstood, and feared, most of which are used by misinformed or uneducated individuals to describe the Goth culture
as to werewolves and vampires being tied to each other, In some folklore vampires, such as the blood countess, used wolves as minions, I haven#t read to much into this so feel free t correct me, but from what I have read Van hellsing was close-ish to the mark, I may be wrong so feel free to correct me.
And as to the witches and vampires comment made, the lycan condition in some folklore was caused by a witches curse.

The Anne Rice wannabes need no comment, but everything since Polidori made vampires popular is just lame. There was a time when being a vampire would be a curse, but if vampires were anything like what people view them as now, there would be practically no reason not to be one. Immortality, super powers, unnatural charm, all at the cost of wearing sunscreen (or not even that, given the latest series). The more time that passes the less meaningful vampirism becomes. At this rate, in a few decades Kali could walk the earth and be viewed as nothing but a cheap gimmick.

My first and last name sound suspiciously like the first and last name of the Marty Sue character Edward Cullen. A bookstore clerk even pointed that out to me when I was ordering a book. gonk
