He looked down at his daughter. "Would you like to go back to your mother?" He asked her letting her make up the decision. He was hoping her to say no since he still wasn't ready to face her. Not yet...

Asami looked at her fathers face and shook her head. "No... I dont want to go back." She said curling at the bottom of her father's front paws. So far, she liked her father much more than her mother.

Surprised, yet a little relieved he smiled down at her as she curled at his feet. Well, that wasn't something he expected. "Are you sure? I mean, I don't know what I'll feed you or anything." He said trying to think of what little kits would eat.

Asami quickly nodded her head she did not want to leave her father's side, so she stayed curled under him but looked up at him from where she was curled. "I can learn to eat fish, or um... what you eat." She said not wanting to disappoint him.

He looked at her a little surprised that she wanted to stay with him. He bobbed his tail up and down and smiled. "Well, I eat berries, bugs, and small animals like mice and birds." He said with a nod.

"Bugs?" She asked not ever hearing of a ulaya eating bugs. Asami went through the list of things he said and thought about which sounded good and which bad. Berries? Good. Bugs? Bad. Mice and birds? Maybe. Asami sighed happily while under her father's watchful eyes.

"Well, not all types of bugs." He said with a nodd. "Like grub, those are big warm like things." He tried to explain. Though, it was rather hard. It wasn't like he ate them all the time, it was only when there was nothing else around. "Mostly berries, and small animals." He said with a nodd.

Asami nodded at her father and closed her eyes thinking about the taste of small animals. "Lets go hunting!" The kit said biting a piece of her fathers fur and pulling it gently. For the moment she didn't feel like eating berries

"Hunting? You want to?" He asked her raising his eye brows at his daughter. He stood up. "If you insist. But don't cry to me when you watch me kill something." He said to her hoping she would start crying because of that.

"Okay, I won't cry daddy!" She said as her fluff of a tail wagged from side to side. Skipping a little bit, she waited for her father's instructions so that she could learn to hunt on her own.

He shrugged and didn't press the subject. He would know how strong his daughter was after he killed a rabbit, though what if there wasn't a rabbit. Mice were fast and tiny. It made them hard to catch, and he wasn't exactly fast now was he.
He stood up and started to walk towards the forest. "Keep close to me. I don't want you to disappear." He said to her. There were some dangerous creatures in there, though he wasn't going to take her into the part of the forest that had the worse. Just keep the othe out side of it would work. Mice don't like to go in there. Rats are the ones that are in there.

Asami's tail twitched as she thought about him catching a rabbit for her to try to eat. She wondered how it would taste, of course, nothing like mother's food. The little kit prepared her mouth for the most disgusting thing she had ever tasted in her life... if her father could find the most disgusting thing she had ever tasted.
Quickly, Asami lunged after him as he made his way into the forest and she found her place right next to his side. "Yes daddy." She said as she looked around the unwelcoming forest that they were now going into. Her eyes slowly wandered towards the bleek looking area of the forest that looked as though it had no sunlight what so ever. Asami's mind filled with all sorts of crazy thoughts of what would maybe be in there.

Hakim took no notice to his daughter now. His full attention had to be on the rabbit that just came into view. Of course it wasn't something that would normally pop up. He was sure he would only find field mice. Well, this worked out wonderfully.
The rabbit hadn't noticed him yet. Which was a certain surprise for him. His eyes focused on it completely. As soon as he saw a chance, he lunged at the rabbit. It noticed him almost too late. Trying to get away as he grabbed the ears of the rabbit. Then quickly putting a paw on it's back and pushing down so it wouldn't move anywhere.
He quickly let go of the ears and dug his teeth into its neck braking it. Of course, crushing it first, but the neck popped sure enough. He dropped the rabbit on the ground as he looked at it. He hated killing things, though it was for food, right?

The kit looked at her father a little curiously, since he had came to a dead stop and had his eyes focused on something ahead of them. Asami's ears quickly perked up whenever she saw the rabbit. Instinct took over, and she quickly stood as still as possible with her eyes on the little rabbit that was minding its own business.
Surprisingly the rabbit hadn't noticed them walking up behind it, which made Asami's eyes sparkle with excitement. Quietly, she crouched down where the rabbit wouldn't see her. Her father made it look easy to catch a rabbit, which made Asami want to try to go catch her own rabbit one day.
The crack of the rabbit's neck made Asami flinch a little as if she could feel the pain. Now it was time to eat her first real food which would probably taste disgusting, but Asami would pretend to like it just so she could stay with her father.

He looked away from her for a second. He wasn't much for blood unless he had to eat it. Though, it was what she wanted. To eat meat. He looked back towards her and smiled at her. "It doesn't taste too bad, once you get past the blood." he said. The muscles of the rabbit were good, though not much of it there. The blood of the beast was enough to make him sick which made him not want to eat meat too much.
