"Wh-What... A horse this time of night, and grazing," Tenar's thoughts were racking through the library of knowledge he had on horses (which may have amounted to a chapter in a book), "It also looks too... amazing to be wild."
The oar met the water once more, pushing soft yet swiftly on the mirror of liquid. The moon lightly graced the lake with its reflexion, but Tenar's oar now was defiling it. Ripples were being sent out across the glass, making the images wobble about and waltz to an unknown music. Several minutes seeped slowly by, oozing out on top of Tenar, making the wait to meet land almost endless. His eyes darted about the lake, fear clawed at his insides, yet his exterior was plastered in a rather ravenous ruse. He wasn't sure if who ever was out there would be scared of his savage countenance (which was probably more comical then fierce).
Finally land met the little raft and Tenar called out, his voice loud yet quivering and making him seem even more silly, "An-Anyone... out th-ther...there?"
Silence met the end of his words. A brilliant breeze briskly brushed over the land, bring the sent of humid moisture with it. The night wasn't cold, yet it wasn't warm either. Tenar walked over to the horse and waited (he made sure to keep his distance so as not to alert it, or fright it). ((Is predatorial a word?))

Now starting to go stir crazy, I start to think of ways of sneaking out of town. The guards around here are very good at there jobs, I suppose that comes from havening to keep the orcs out so to get away from here is going to be rather diffacult. I study the guards every chance I get, learning the patrol paths and there habits. Finally after about a week of studying I figure the best way to get by them with out the threat of them coming after me. I realize there just doing there job and making sure everyone is safe but I don't like the feel of being told what to do. For so many years I was on my own, I think I could handle any thing out there.
It didn't take long to gather my things, I didn't really have any thing to begin with. Once every thing was gathered, including some rations for me and Ookami, I left for a nearby building that was almost burned to the ground from orc attacks, Ookami and I hid there until the guard change, during which we made our way for the woods. We weren't clear yet tho for the guards often send out patrols into the woods as well to protect against ambushes, so we traveled all night to put as much distance between us and and the town.
We came across an old cottage deep in the woods, we were miles from Diamond Town by now so decided to rest. The cottage seemed to have been abandoned for some time so we went inside. It was cleaner then the tavern had been. We stayed there for a couple of days so to make sure we weren't being followed.

Moonglow started and jumped to the side. Diandriel looks up cooly and smiles ever so slightly at her mares antics and the newcomers unerved voice. Before standing she looks at the stars, the message board of teh gods ( xd ). Her emerald eyes widen before drooping in reisgnation. The star she had been waiting years to see had been lit. It was time for the Chosen to start revealing themselves. As far as she knew, someone she had known for years might turn out to be her fellow chosen one. It also meant her step father would find out. She vivibly shuddered as she thought of his reaction, of his immediatly thinking how he could use the knowledge to his own gain. With another sigh gentle as the evening breeze Diandriel pushes the thoughts from her head.
By the sound of the newcomers voice he would be no threat to her. He sounded nervous, almost scared. She stood gracefully and held out a slender hand to her mare. "Mile Moonglow" Diandriel sooths with a heavey Elven accent. The mare stops her snorting and walks serenly towards her mistress, the elf maid clad all in green, almost hiding her against the backdrop of grass and oak. Diandriel rubs moonglows forehead affectionatly before regarding the shadow of the newcomer near the river. He was not close enough to speak to yet. Perhaps she would simply watch for a moment, to see his reaction.

Elwen waited impatiently by the stable door. A man road towards her and she was willing to bet by the uncomfortable manner he rode his brown mare that he would willingly rid himself of her as soon as he could. Idiot. She thought with scorn as he neared her. Elwen quickly threw up the plastered fake smile that drew in customers. "Good Morning, sir!" she called out cheerily. At first she had hated playing at such a fake attitude. But now she found private enjoyment in it. It was just another way to mock people. "My, my. You're quite the rider." Elwen shot him a look of awe as he stared at her suspiciously. Then gave a small snort at the look of pride that came across him. At a second glance she quickly stifled it into a cough. "I will only need to leave the horse with you for the day. I will pick her up before night falls." The man said. He still seemed rather unsure of himself. "Of course." Elwen replied. She took the reigns of his horse and then gestured to where a stable boy sat. "He'll get you set up." Elwen had been glad to give up that job. She'd always loathed it.
She pulled the mare into the stable and found a room stall. Just walking near the mare had caused her to notice how much it needed care. So Elwen was glad to save her from her foolish master for awhile. She gently rubbed the mare's nose as she traced her hand along the mare's back feeling for burrs. Then Elwen set to work on gently removing them and grooming the horse.

Tenar paced the shoreline for several moments trying to figure out what to do next. "Hello?" he called out to the darkness again, "I... I don't mean any har- FINE!" Down Tenar fell, his knees meeting the little brushing of sand painted on the shore. Tears streamed down his face as his nervousness transformed to anguish.
"WHY GODS DO YOU TORTURE ME!" Tenar's face stared up to the sky as the words tumbled out between sobs, "I NEVER ASKED FOR THIS! JUST LEAVE ME BE!"
Suddenly the horns on top of his head came to life, bursting into a brilliantly bright blue light that broke the darkness eating away at him and some of the surroundings. His powers were manifesting on their own accord. The lake before him quivered and then he seeped in. Instead of even making a splash it seemed as if he melted into the lake. Tenar arose in the center, his hand raising toward the sky as a wave came with it. It shadowed over a vast part of the forest and was getting ready to crash down.

((Sadly, I won't be able to post for probably the rest of today. Sorry sad ))
Soft footsteps sounded quietly in the silence of the forest, created by a slender female striding at a casual pace. Her long locks of hair fluttered in the passing zephyr, swishing around her face, before settling again, only to be picked up again by yet another breeze.
And it was not natural wind either, but instead, wind that was being manipulated by her unconscious magic. It whirled around her playfully, like an eager child, and nipped at her fingers almost affectionately. Enaella chuckled, smiling, and continued walking on, humming lightly. At times like these, she was especially glad that the wind and air around her was almost like a companion to her; a creature that seemed to understand her and seek to defend her at all times.
Enaella abruptly halted in step, her enhanced part-elven senses and reflexes coming into play. A smell of water drifted to her nose, making her glance around warily. And then...
A wave towered high above her, covering a gargantuan amount of the forest in shadow. Enaella's silver-violet orbs widened in disbelief, and then her survival instincts kicked into action.
Trying to summon energy to her hands, Enaella closed her eyes, concentrating. Pointing her hands toward the ground diagonally, she released a powerful jet of air from her hands. This gave off enough force to push her into the sky, diagonally, toward the side of the wave to above it as much as possible. There was no way she, a simple wandering air mage, could stop that wave.
Forcing herself to continue releasing jets of air from her hands so that she was pushed into the sky, high above the wave, Enaella glanced down, spotting a lake and several figures. Swearing, she directed herself to the area behind the lake, before dropping down in a slow descent, guided by the wind that she unconsciously controlled. As soon as her feet touched the floor, she stepped back, crying out in utter confusion.
"What in the world is happening?"

((sorry it took so long to get a reply >< its been an insane Day...and Enaella, two things, first we are not in a forest but on a palin by a lake. Also please remember that regular mages powers cannot be too powerful, since the Chosen have the ultimate control of the the powers))
Diandriel started forward, holding out a cautious hand to the newcomer. No one with a voice that tormented could be evil. But before she could reach him, he melded into the lake. A Mage...or... she glances nervously again to the newly lit star, her eyes moving hurridly back to the form in the water. Then she looked in the waves wake. Her forest...her beloved forest. With deep concentration, Diandriel summons a power she had been honing for thousands of years. She had by now almost mastered every aspect of her vast Elemental Power, a benefit to be on elf kind and having an immortal life. Her eyes begin to glow an eerie green color as she fixes her gaze on the ground near the wave. She raised her right hand, and does so quickly, and the ground begins to tremor and rise along with her hand movements. In a matter of moments she had erected an earthen wall that curbed the water back to the lake. She drops to her knees. spent. A spell like that should have been enacted slowly and taken several minutes. But she hadn't had the time. Suddenly the realization of what she did hit her. THe chosen shall reveal themselves when the star of prophecy is lit The words of Goddess Earth ring in her head. She prayed none had seen her, for a spell such as that could be enacted by the chosen, not a mage. She breaths a sigh of relief when he eyes detect no movement before turing quickly back to the lakes waters, searching desperatly for the newcomer that had sounded so pained.
((Sorry, I tend to get a little carried away when it comes to elemental magic xd I've been rping it for about 4 years now xd ))

Tenar was tucked into the wave where the bubble of self-pity was popped. Quickly he glided through the waves and sprang forth from the water, landing gently back onto the clearing between the forest and the lake. Water covered his shivering form. He knew of a spell to draw moisture, but it was nonverbal... and was a sensation more then actual words. His face burned red through the night. Small portions began to dry and form a ball in front of him, but the world began to tremble as he was starting to go unconscious. Abruptly he stopped, noticing that he was on the ground, a splotch of water spilled onto the land.
When next he sat, his head was now facing the colossal earth wall. He tried to find some logical rationality for this looming form, but it seemed to allude his grasp. In nature, there were no straight lines, and this looked as if it was perfectly chiseled. Plus, nothing natural could create this form... and deep down, Tenar knew this.
"Whe..." he began, but the words were lost in the jungle of confusion. He had no idea why he was wet... or where the last several minutes had drifted. His last memory was slipping into the lake.

"Hey Len...be back in a while," called Reeve to the other bar keep as he took a shot he had just poured from the tavern's lower shelf bottles. He walked out of the tavern giving nods of acknowledgment to the tavern's regulars he had come to know over the last few months of working there. He had decided to go and check on his horse as he hadn't had time in the last few days to ride much.
As he exited the bar he stretched his back and cracked his neck as he gazed up into the bright sky. He was enjoying this new life, boring as it was, it was a change from the hectic life style he had been living as a member of what many just called "the organization." He knew he wouldn't be able to stay settled down for long, so he was enjoying this while he could.
As he strolled toward the edge of town he saw the same girl he saw every time he came down to the stables. She was tending to an apparently poorly attended to horse. He nodded quietly and politely and continued to the stable which Pandemonium called home.
"Hey there old boy..." Smiled Reeve as he reached up to pet his old friends head. The black horse snuffed and pulled away as if to say "Where have you been?" Before nudging his head into his owner's hand.

Elwen snuck a glance around the stables before gently lifting her hands and placing it on each side of the horse. After a moment's pause a small gust of wind began to gather amongst her ankles and traveling up her body.Elwen lifted a comforting hand to the horses nose as it began to move nervously. Soon the wind began to dance across the horse's flank. Invisible gusts of wind worked through the burrs as her hands had been and they were slowly removed. "You'll feel and look better after this, girl." Elwen whispered to the horse. But then she heard foot steps entering the stables. Elwen swore silently. She had worked hard on not letting anyone find out her secret. If she didn't trust any one with knowing something as simple as her last name, why trust them with something like that? Elwen turned and saw a familar face enter the stables. It was Reeve. He kept his horse here on a regular basis. Elwen watched him enter the stable. After giving him a moment to greet his horse she made her way to him. "Hello." she said, pulling on her fake smile.

After petting Pandemonium for a moment, Reeve was about to ready the saddle when the stable girl approached him. He cursed to himself as he had hoped to go out for a ride without any interruptions. However, he turned and smiled back. It took him a brief moment to recall her name as they hadn't spoken often.
"Ah! Hello there Elwen. Its a fine day today isn't it? A nice breeze seems to be picking up eh?" He hated small talk but was in a fairly good mood today and decided that he wouldn't be short as he might have been otherwise.
"Who's horse are you tending to there? Looks a bit worse for the wear no?"

Elwen, on the other hand, was never in the mood for small talk. She daily cursed the fact that her job required it at times. "Yes." she replied. "The owner also clearly had no idea which end was the front of the horse." she gave a snort of disgust at this statement. Now that he was out of ear shot, she was perfectly happy to outwardly make fun of him. "Is Pandemonium's care to your liking?" For a moment a genuine smile filtered across her face as she looked at the horse.

Reeve smiled outwardly at his old friend, a strong and sturdy horse to be sure. "I doubt I could find better care this side of the Sea of Storms," he responded, "I only wish I had some land and a stable of my own so that I might see him more often. But I doubt the day will come where I have that kind of coin." A slight look of regret flickered across his face for a moment before he asked, "I trust he has not been acting out too much?"
