She watched him through lidded eyes, feeling so safe and at ease in his half embrace. Crystal didn't understand a lot about Qadir, but she adored him for who he was; it was his playful nature that had ensnared her, and his earnest heart that kept her. She had wanted to melt against him and lay upon him, but she knew his wound - or more than one - would aggravate at the slightest implication of her weight. Her gaze came into focus as she saw his smile, one that made her throat catch, one that she didn't deserve.
And then he asked for her forgiveness again. She couldn't stop the annoyed noise in her throat, leaning forward to kiss him a little roughly to impart her frustration, running her free hand through his hair. Why she used kissing as a means to share her feelings with this man, she might never know, but the motion effectively removed any consideration that she would let him stand just yet. "Stop that," she murmured against him, "there is nothing to forgive. You have not wronged me, or hurt me, or otherwise put me out...please, what can I do to put your mind at ease? I just want to see you well. I don't mean to be overbearing...I've missed you." It didn't excuse her behavior, but it was the honest truth, and that seemed to be the best she could offer.
Crystal looked at him from inches away, fingers still caressing tendrils of his hair, her brow furrowed with her frustration at the lack of ability to comfort him. It seemed all her intent was only hurting him, and that had never been what she wanted for him. She wished him happiness and clear starry skies, to be a companion in the night, to be a rock if he needed one. She realized what miserable job she was doing at being supportive as she found herself pinning the man down - as well as she could, given her size - rather than letting him go. The woman utter a squeaked, "Oh, Qadir, I'm sorry," before slowly detaching herself so he could stand.

Qadir blinked curiously. One moment the woman was fierce in her sweetness, telling him there was nothing to apologize for and refusing to leave and the next she was climbing off him sprouting her own apologies, looking like she was the reason he was in so much pain. The blinking continued as he tried his best to catch his mind up to the situation, trying to figure out what she was apologizing for and what he was supposed to say next.
All Qadir knew was that he was tired and that although he wanted to simply sleep right there on her couch, the smell of drying blood was beginning to churn his stomach. As Crystal pushed herself off of him he stood and stretched as best he dared without over-doing, watching her silently for a moment before reaching out with the hand that was not in the now very blood sling. "There's nothing for you to be sorry for Crystal. I feel like you've given me more strength tonight than I could have ever hoped to obtain."
Leaning in, Qadir pressed a short kiss to her forehead before smiling and taking a step for the door. "You shouldn't feel bad my dear, and you should not feel so terrible that I am leaving. I know I have been gone for so long, but I assure you I wont be leaving again any time soon. There's no reason to be rushing things. There's all the time in the world," he said with a chuckle and a wink of an amber eye. No kisses in his good-bye this time though, and his words were clearly lack-luster. The poison wasn't helping him in the least and the loss of blood was making it even harder for the man to keep himself composed. "It's best that I go..." he said softly, giving her hand a squeeze.

Crystal nodded quietly, her eyes turned downcast to the hand that held her own. She knew she was being unusually outspoken, and decidedly needy, but for the life of her she couldn't place why. She also knew she shouldn't be so against him leaving, and it mystified her. His earlier apology as to not being himself had been made clear, and while it didn't halt her concern, it did put her a little at ease. The man knew himself well enough to know what was happening to him, so that meant he had some semblence of control or understanding over whatever had hurt him so. She didn't like the idea of letting him walk out of her home in this condition, however.
"Can I at least walk you to a cab?" The woman squeezed his hand gently in return, turning her grey gaze upon him with a tilted face. "I swear, if you pass out in my front yard I wont forgive you." Crystal offered him a lop-sided grin, her words only partially in jest. She commended herself for not adding that he was being stubborn for not resting one day; she promised she'd stop fussing over his wound, and she certainly didn't want to guilt trip him into doing what he didn't want to. It didn't occur to her that having him stay could be wrong or awkward, for wasn't it he that said kindness should be a standard?
Through all her tangled thoughts, she could tell he wasn't well, and that was what concerned her the most. The woman had never known such a person to refuse care in such a state, but there was a lot about the man before her that she didn't know. It dawned on her that in some aspects, he viewed himself as a vampire and nothing else, and while she certainly knew what he was, she saw him as a man first. "I don't have a phone, so I can't call one for you. Is there anything else I can do?" Crystal very carefully stepped next to the man, turning towards the front door so that he may know which direction to go.

Shaking his head slightly as he moved for the door, his grip upon her hand loosening to open the door for himself and the woman beside him. Hurt or not, it wasn't reason to be a completely terrible gentleman. "I wont be needing a cab, I have other transportation," he said, motioning for her to step out of her home before him unless she decided to stay within the confines of her own home.
Crystal certainly worried about him a great deal and he recognized it, which was appreciated and he'd likely do something great to make up for such a terrible turn of events, he just didn't know what to do at the moment. "You've done more for me than anyone else I know, so please don't feel like you haven't helped me, you've really done a wonderful assortment of helpful things." Crystal really made the man feel more man than vampire, but he was already beginning to feel that familiar tug of difference, the one that reminded him that he didn't fit in and he shouldn't get close.
Another smile at her brought another tug at the back of his stomach, causing his smile to falter. "I've got to meet my transportation, just down the street. I assure you that I'm well so please rest well tonight with that knowledge," he said, kissing the back of her hand before letting go and taking a step in the direction of where he was headed. He clearly didn't look like he was going to pass out at any point and he hoped that his strong smile would put her at ease.

The woman nodded as he talked, walking outside at his gesture. Crystal turned her weary gaze on him, unable to really say much more. She was strangely worn out from the evening, a little surprised that keeping most of her thoughts down could be so tiring, and worried what those thoughts could be if she was already being so free with her words and antics. As he released her hand, she crossed her arms over her stomach, giving him another warm smile as though the turmoil never existed.
"Very well, Qadir. Do not concern yourself with me or my silly mind, I will be fine." She didn't need to add that it was him she was concerned about, and that her own worry certainly wasn't anything he should be thinking about. As such, she acknowledged that they would simply agree to disagree in this instance, with her concern for him and his concern at her concern. It was a vicious cycle.
She stopped by the garden gate, opening it to let Qadir out. "Good evening, Qadir, and...welcome home." No mention of hoping to see him soon, or to take care of himself; she, too, was out of her own cheerful self, perhaps in an echo of the vampire's current predicament. She stood at the gate, watching his figure retreat into the darkness until she could not see him anymore. Crystal turned her gaze to the sky, quietly asking the night to watch over him, before walking back into the warm light of her home.
