Your dance style: I think it is Egyptian
Dance Idols: Neena and Veena, the ladies on bellydance superstars
What you hope to get out of this guild: New friends, some tips, new dances, etc...
Anything else you wanted us to know?: I am in college and aspiring to be a librarian. I am constantly shaking my hips even if I haven't been in class for a while.

Your dance style: It's a fusion of Arabic, Egyptian Oriental, Turkish, and some Gypsy biggrin

What you hope to get out of this guild: Fwends with similar interests and basically a network of bellydancers
Anything else you wanted us to know?: I'm quite friendly, positive and fun loving. My hope is that all people (whether they dance or not) understand that bellydance has no age, shape or size. Umm... yeah, I dunno what else to say lol

Name: Amber Dawn Age: 24 How long you've been dancing: I have only been taking real lessons for about 3 months, but I have been a fan since I was about 12. Still a beginner! Your dance style: I don't have a style yet, and my preference seems to depend on my mood. I really like it all Dance Idols: So far my teacher Saqra, my friend Lenora, and another dancer in our classes who goes by FuFu. What you hope to get out of this guild: I'd like to meet some more people into bellydance like I am, maybe some people in my area! SEATTLE FTW! Anything else you wanted us to know?: I. LOVE. MY. ZILLS. My teacher Saqra is a phenomenal zill player and I'm lucky to have such a great teacher!

Pic:  Name: Lysa, but I also go by Mina since it's my faire persona name Age: 24 How long you've been dancing: Hir or miss for the last few years, trying to pick up pointers where I can. Started off reluctant with it, but always thought it was fun, because my hips have a tendency to sound like they're cracking when I did some of the isolations. But with Shimmy on Fit TV now, I find the moves easier to do and I make less sounds than with the DVD I have. (I also live over an hour away from people giving classes, so it's a DIY project.) Your dance style: Haven't picked one yet, and I doubt I will, I like just going with things. Dance Idols: Don't have one. What you hope to get out of this guild: What most people do. A place to talk with other people about a like interest, help here and there, and offer help if I can give any. Anything else you wanted us to know?: Um... I love reading, going to ren faires, hand sewing, plan on making my own garb here soon when I find material I like, even a snow leopard themed garb since I have a three foot faux snow leopard tail and ears and get called the Rogue Kitty at faire.

I might not exactly fit for the conventional intro questions, so here we go with a little random description...!
Hi, I'm Ana, I'm (obviously) new to both this guild and to belly-dancing. Although I've tried out some moves and used to do Rarotongan dancing (which works with the same basic hip swaying movements - look it up, it's a lot of fun), I haven't really done any proper dancing.
I'm currently very interested in tribal fusion, mostly due to a new love affair with The Indigo - Rachel Brice is my dancing hero, if I can ever be half as graceful as her, I will be happy!
Begging your pardon for any future ignorant questions I may post here, but I look forward to learning more about this great dance style and the people who do it. ^_^

Hi, I'm Queen of the Penguins (as I don't give out my real name online), sometimes shortened to Queen.
I started bellydance around mid September and have fallen in love with it. I'm not quite sure what my style would be, but I know that I'm better at isolating than putting things together.
Eh...that's about all I guess, since I don't really have any idols...
Oh yeah...Isis wings. I've been working with Isis wings for a couple of months and have come to absolutely adore them. They're much fun, as are all of the props I've had chances to experiment with X3
