Wycliff looked down, a little drool dripping onto Shavira's little hand. He noticed that his own hands were almost twice as large as hers; he, being part Rhino, was an unusually large baby, and this caused him to quickly learn that being gentle was the way to go. Wycliff sat down, being careful to keep his one hand where it was, so he wouldn't spook Shavira. He didn't actually think through all this; it was just how he acted, instinctivly. His Guardian was so careful with everyone he met, and it rubbed off on Wycliff.

Shavira looked back at Wycliff as he moved and giggled & burbled. She then sat down herself, and grabbed Wycliff's arm with both hands, in a semi-tight arm-hug. "Yaaah! Hee hee!" She giggled relentlessly, as she felt her arms being poked by small bumps on Wycliff's skin. The snakes' tongues flickered in and out, a little annoyed at this contact, but more interested than anything. They weren't being harmed...or threatened...so no need to bite.

KiiMeLwi grinned as she watched through all this. "Oh, they're adorable...Shavi looks so small and happy!"

Wycliff blew a little spit bubble as he laughed at Shavira's touch, inwardly wondering why he hadn't poked a hole in her. Usually, when he grabbed things like leaves or toys, they would pop or rip, and Wycliff would cry. He never liked hurting things, although Tori always told him that everything would be okay, and that helped.

Just then, the little Rhino-boy noticed the waving, green forms attached to Shavira's stomach. His eyes widened, and he turned his total focus to the snakes. He had never seen something like them before; his Guardian had several at his cabin, but he hadn't taken Wycliff there, so these were a totally new thing for him. He reached foreward with his free hand, trying to touch one of the moving beings.

"Ahh, they are so cute..." Tori nodded, smiling softly. "They seem to be able to cope with each other's differences easily..."

"Ah! Oh...Wycliff...careful-...or...not?" KiiMeLwi had noticed Wycliff's hand moving in the direction of one of the many snakes attached to Shavira. She, worried about the babe being bitten, had begun to try and stop and injuries when suddenly, the snake Wycliff had been reaching for wrapped as much of its body as it could around a few of Wycliff's fingers, tongue flickering.

Shavira giggled even more, her snakes were even more interested in Wycliff now, and she was having a blast, just being able to sit there and hug and hug and hug this very interesting and cute and cuddly creation.

Glass Crow
___The Terrace

"Len, spit that out."

Lenore gave a grumble, caught, and grudgingly spit out the acorn. Crow rolled her eyes and pulled the small playpen a bit closer to her lawn chair, clearing out any hidden stashes of plantlife before returning to her book. A small portable cassette player was rambling an audiobook version of Stephen King's "The Shining", which Lenore had been listening to with gleeful attentiveness before diving into her stash of Things She Shouldn't Be Eating. Giving the now reading Crow a reproachful look, Lenore returned to her audiobook and burbled.

Crow looked up from her magazine for a moment, looking around to see if any of the other Mishaps or guardians were lurking out on the Terrace.

The small child in Jizzy's arms was protesting and crying as she made her way onto the terrace, actually hevaily intent on going back to the room. But then his crying stopped as a familiar glint of metal caught Deimos' eye, causing him to burble slightly and yank towards the direction of Crow and Lenore.

Jizzy, who was raher upset at her mishap at the moment, quickly noticed his silence and followed his gaze. A playpen, good. Perhaps if Deimos could play with other for a while it might calm him, maybe some social skills would develop, who knows.

"Heylo"

She cried out to Crow, making her way there.

Tori didn't notice Wycliff's exploratory movements until Kii said something, and by then the snake was already socializing with the little Rhino-boy's fingers. He watched carefully, but after a few moments, it was apparent that nothing was going to happen. The tall man smiled, watching his charge and Kii's play together.

Wycliff had no idea what was taking such an interest in his fingers, but he loved it. Its skin felt smooth and slightly bumpy, but not bad; he enjoyed the feel so much that he scooted foreward on his bottom, trying to get more snakes to take an interest in him. Unfortunately, Wycliff has yet to practice with his motor skills, so instead of scooting, he just fell foreward onto Shavira with a cry of distress.

Merely blinking in surprise, Shavira glanced down at the Wycliff in her lap. Snakes weaved about, inspecting this new...living thing...that had invaded their space, but almost right away, they all began to LIKE the young one that was in front of them. They began wrapping tiny heads and small bodies around whatever they could and tongues flickered like mad all around in glee. Shavira, a bit worried...or as worried of confused as a babe can be, tried to raise Wycliff up a bit by pushing and nudging...lightly.

Oddly enough, it wasn't that uncomfortable...had he landed on her at a different angle, she might have been crushed. She tried comforting her new, disgruntled friend, by patting him, as Kii did to her, with an awkward hand.

Kii, on the other hand, knew that the child needed to be sat up more completely. She leaned down and, shooing some snakes off, helped Wycliff back up. "Oh, you poor thing...are you hurt? Are you alright? That's a good boy..."

Tori gasped when Wycliff fell, but not for the little Rhino-boy; he was worried that the weight of his Mishap would crush Shavira. Thankfully, Wycliff seemed to land at one angle that wouldn't hurt her, and was only in minor discomfort himself; the snakes were waving all around him, and they seemed perfectly happy, too. Tori leaned down, helping Kii to right his little boy. "Thanks.." He said, smiling at her; she was so nice, and thoughtful. A great mother, indeed.

Wycliff, on the other hand, didn't like this new turn of events. He had fallen, sure, but then all the little green things had been waving around him, something he felt was very fun and happy. He had been about to laugh and giggle at them, when he felt Kii's arms on him, pulling him away. The little Rhino-boy sniffled, reaching out to feel some of the snakes; it just wasn't the same. He wanted to explore these new creatures, but apparently he wasn't going to be able to, in front of the Guardians. So Wycliff just huffed unhappily, turning his attention back to Shavira.

(( Mm, so much RP passed since my last post X3
Sorry I wasn't active gonk
-ponders on a way to butt in- ))

Silencer opened her mouth and made to move towards Wycliff, but stopped herself as Kii leaned down and righted the child. Plopping back onto her chair, she smiled at the two guardians and their charges. She decided to just stay in the background for now, massaging her sore arms.

Rexier, meanwhile, merely watched the two mishaps interacting among themselves, and made no attempt to join them. Though, the snakes around the girl's waist did caught his interest, or rather, Kings. But try as hard as the young tyrannosaur could to get to Shavira, Rexier was more interested in the forest on the other side. So he crawled towards it, much to Kings annoyance - at not being able to check Shavira and her snakes more, and being faced up towards the sky.

"Hrragh... rrgk!" protested the little dinosaur, loudly.

Tori turned from his own Mishap to watch Rexier, confident that Shavira and Kii could take care of him for a few moments. He marveled at the two bodies joined as one, wondering how they interacted within themselves. Would they grow up to be two separate beings, and lead separate, but attached, lives? He pondered quietly, smiling as he watched Rexier crawl over to somewhere that his other half obviously didn't want to go to.

"He's such an interesting Mishap..." Tori said softly, mostly to himself. He would really like to spend his time watching Rexier grow and evolve into a personality.

KiiMeLwi covered another large yawn and smiled at all those around her...especially Tori and Silencer. She knew these two were going through the same, or at least similar difficulties as she was now. But she was also sure it was all worth it.

Shavira had watched as Wycliff was half dragged off of her, and had noticed his unhappiness at being pulled from her and...well, her little crawling friends. As any baby with snakes growing out of their bellies might, she scooted over, closer to the upset babe, using hands and bottom, so he might be soothed...She seemed to over look the fact that she was much smaller...she still wanted to take care of this new friend.

It was about this time that she also noticed the other mishap again...crawling away...unlike the first time, however, she seemed to notice...that wasn't just one creature...as it had first seemed...

Catching sight of Kii''s yawn, Silencer felt one coming her way. She covered said yawn, and blinked a few times around her, teary-eyed. At Tori''s words she turned turned her head around in the direction he was facing, and smiled, zipping up her backpack and pushing it a little away from her. She got to her feet, and moved slowly towards and beside the tall man, her eyes never leaving Rex.

"Interesting?" she asked, then chuckled a little. "Aren''t all mishaps so? Though... he does grow fast..." At this she half-smile-half-winced. The mishap had grown so much in size and weight, it took a lot to just carry him around. And Rex does love going around the HQ so...

The girl calculated the distance between her charge and the forbidden woods, and ecided that he still had a long way to go before reaching it. Let the little one tire himself out, or she would have to wrestle the energetic child up to their room again. Turning around, she left the man''s side and made her way towards a young lady, Wycliff and Shavira. Silencer lowered herself to the ground so as to not frighten the two mishaps, and smiled at all three of them.

"My Rex is a handful, both of you must be lucky to have such adorable and well-behaved babies."

Rexier, noticing the forest beyond was still a long way away, picked up his pace while King rumbled on quietly, watching as the birds flew by overhead. Hey, it wasn''t that bad - the sun wasn''t that strong, so his eyes did not hurt. So he relaxed a little, enjoying the slow ride to who knows where.

Reaching the edge of the terrace flooring, Rex slowed down, and peered over the edge. The distance between the flooring and the grass wasn''t much, so he turned around and slid his legs over the edge, and onto the soft grass below. Oh! The grass felt good under his clawed feet! He had never felt something quite as lovely as this, for the only ground he had been one were the cold, hard... and slightly shiny ones in the building, and also the soft but dry ones in his own room. And so the little mishap stood planted to the ground, with both hands on the higher terrace flooring, grinning and burbling happily to himself

Tori smiled, staying where he was; he was happy to watch the Mishaps and their Guardians from afar, to learn more about them. He noticed how kind Shavira was being; Tori was raising Wycliff as best he could, teaching the little Mishap to be gentle and nice, but Shavira was naturally so. The tall man reached back, absent-mindedly playing with his long, purple hair. Oddly enough, the less sleep he got, the more alert he was, so he was the only Guardian in the area not to yawn.

Wycliff felt like he was about to cry; his wonderful new friends had all gone, and...
Suddenly, Shavira was close to him again, and her little snakes were flicking their tongues onto him. The little Rhino-boy laughed loudly, clapping happily, although away from the snakes so he wouldn't bother them. He had never been so happy in his life; at least, since he had seen the garden, and all the veggies it had to offer. Wycliff's memory wasn't the best, this early in life.

Jizzy Jazz
___The Terrace

Lenore gave a start, all concentration on her audiobook disrupted. That presence....Deimos. With an almost involuntary motion, Lenore grabbed at the feather tip that still bore that faint stain of Deimos; blood from their first encounter. With a discomfitted mumble, she looked through the reinforced metal bars of her play pen at the emanation of the source. She saw
Jizzy and Deimos coming closer, and she felt her body involuntarily tense as she made eye contact with the child.

Crow started and looked up from her magazine. With a smile, she waved Jizzy and Deimos over, taking a sip of her tea and tossing her reading material aside.

"Hey guys! C'mon over!"

Shavira giggled and burbled happily. Wycliff's happiness was contagious. Her snakes were completely dazzled by this newcomer, and he was so like Shavira, they couldn't feel threatened. Shavira clung onto Wycliff once again. He was very...clingable.
KiiMeLwi grinned as she watched the babies, and how they kept trying to take care of each other. Or at least, the way Wycliff and Shavira treated each other. She had been surprised that Shavira's snakes hadn't bit him or anything. She almost never got away without a scratch from them. Wycliff was all over the creatures and was enjoying it all. It was amazing. She knew, though, as children, Shavira and Wycliff only wanted to see happiness in others around them...she hoped it would all last...

A smirk crept onto her face. What was she thinking?! Of course it would.
