"You swim out to it," Genna replied. "Actually, there's one just a little ways out. I could probably find a log or something, tie some 'weed to it and pull you out, if you'd like..."

"I see." Denise eyed Genna thoughtfully, tilting her head. "No. I can swim by myself quite well, thank you." She replied. "It is a kind gesture but I do not need help. I will be fine, if you lead well." Denise wasn't going to cling to some log, it seemed like something a child would do. In her younger days she would of grasped the idea but at the age she was now, no. "How far is it?" So she could prepare herself for the journey ahead.

Genna appraised the Minya. "I think you can make it. Just follow me. I'll keep an eye out for... unwanted visitors," she added under her breath so Denise wouldn't hear her. "We should try and make good time, though, so we won't miss the sunset..."

Think? Oh she would make it. Her ears perked up, when Genna seemed to mutter something under her breath. She strained to hear what the Choumeida had said, but whatever it was she had missed it. Denise narrowed her eyes slightly at the Choumeida, frowning. Could she trust this one or would this one hurt her in some way once she reached the water.

Denise was a land Hespierden, she could go in the water but she preferred land. This one was a water Hespierden, she would have the advantage. She eyed the Choumeida, thinking. She dug her front claws into the soft earth. She would keep her guard up, if the Choumeida decided to strike then at least she could somewhat put up a struggle.

"Yes, missing the sunset would be so unfortunate. We should go." Denise stretched and rose to all four paws. She tossed her hair over her shoulders, her tail bobbed behind her. She reached the water's surface. She looked up briefly at the Choumeida, waiting for her to make her move. "I must return shortly after the sunset, however. I will be needed at home."

"All right." With a flick of her tail, Genna dove under the water and surfaced a few yards ahead, lavender water dripping from her golden hair. "You coming?"

"Yes, of course." She eyed the water again. Great she was getting even more wet. Shrugging, she slipped into the water. Paddling her paws towards Genna, she stopped a bit away from the Choumaiden. "Show me the way." Denise tilted her head to the side, waiting. Her eyes watched the Choumaiden close, just in case.

Genna motioned for Denise to follow her, then dived under the water for a moment, surfacing almost immediately. She made sure not to go too fast, realizing the Minya wasn't built specifically for the water. She soon spotted the island just a little ways ahead. "We're almost there," she announced, glancing back as she had been doing periodically to make sure Denise was still following.

She paused momentarily, taking a deep gulp of air, before dunking under the lavender colours of the water. She swam a little under the water before surfacing again. She followed after the Choumeida, her paws moving quickly through the water.

"That's it?" She questioned though truly she didn't need an answer, it was obvious that the island was there as Genna was currently heading in that direction. Sometimes the words that came from her mouth, they weren't that smart. She was answered though, in a round-a-bout way, from Genna's words of how they were almost there.

Finally. She was growing tired, she was never used to swimming for so long before. Denise tended to swim for a little and then leave the water to dry off. It was a new experience, perhaps one that she was not so fond of however. But the sunset seemed appealing, if it really was so marvelous, she might find herself coming back again and again.

"So that's an island." It didn't seem any different from the land she lived on, smaller with a scattering of trees and some sort of dirt that appeared just where the water ended. She guessed it was some sort of dirt, never seeing it before. Dirt didn't seem right though.

((Should we finish up once the sun sets or something?))

"Mmhmm, this is an island," Genna replied as they arrived, pulling herself up onto a rock outcropping on one side of the small island. "Isn't it lovely?"

((That sounds good, then they could split and head their own way home.))

Denise pulled herself out of the water, her fur and hair dripping. She wanted to shake off but knew it would look stupid, she'd do that after when she was alone. She lifted a paw up, observing the grains of sand sticking to her paws. She wrinkled her nose and climbed onto a rock near Genna. "It's all right." She admitted, looking about.

It was nice. It looked almost like the mainland where they lived, perhaps both this place and where she was from were both islands? But her home was so large and yet this place seemed small. This place didn't have any mountains from what she could see, just water surrounding entirely around it and trees. It didn't seem like any others knew of this place.

"How long?" Denise asked, turning her eyes away from her surroundings and back to Genna. "Till the sunset?" It wasn't like she was already wanting to go home, she was just curious, oddly enough.

Genna smiled. "I'd say it's starting right about now..."

They watched as the sun slowly began to sink beneath the horizon, bathing the sky in a myriad of colors, the water reflecting back the many hues. "It's beautiful, isn't is?" Genna asked quietly, still watching the sun.
