Noyana was grateful to have met someone who agrees with her; thinks like her. That gratefulness coursed through her as she walked alongside her new friend.
She could feel the boundary approaching as the pair of them walked on. Noyana could always feel it, somehow. Almost as if it were right in front of her by now, they approached it without changing speed.
"I'll never be a rogue," she said, pondering how she ever survived. Her parents or grandparents must have just undergone a pride change, being a rogue only for how long it took to get from point A to point B- that was the only reasonable explanation. Though, Noyana would definitely ask her parents how long they were in the roguelands when she got home tonight.

"I might travel a bit but I'll never go rogue. I love this pride too much."
Tufah had no such feeling for the edge of their homelands yet. She did however stop for a moment to sniff at some strands of grass. Very very softly musky...must have been marked a long while ago. Hinted that this was the boarder. For her it was a 'welcome home' sign but she knew for rogues it'd be a 'warning' sign - though the Pridelands were so very lax about rogues coming in for visits.
"Well, we're out of the Pridelands now." She turned to grin at Noyana, enjoying her company. Her newfound friend was the first cub she'd really got along with. Tufah loved her family but she didn't really mix well with her siblings.

"Yeah," Noyana replied friskily, taking a look around. She always felt like she was disobeying the rules when she stepped beyond the boundaries, even though it wasn't like she was breaking any rules. Just as her last excursion beyond the Pridal borders had been, the grass was no different on this side than it had been in the pridelands.
"Well, let's go check out what there is to be found!" She said in a cub-like fashion, absolutely excited. She bounded across the land as quickly as she could, trying not to get stabbed in the eyes by the grass.

"I know where we can go!" Tufah leapt after her friend with a bounding stride, fully enjoying running along. Not to mention the small thrill of leaving the Pridelands. While she'd never been exactly forbidden from leaving, and there was no law...this was away from the spying of nannies and everything was 'new'. Though the landscape wasn't - yet.
"I saw it from home, it's massive." She veered offto the right, hoping Noyana would follow.

Noyana followed completely trustingly, wondering what Tufah knew of that Noyana didn't. Adrenaline filled her veins- how she loved a good adventure.
If it was so massive, how was it that Noyana didn't know where it was? Was it something her mom would get mad about? She smirked. Noyana hadn't really ever gone anywhere her mother didn't want her to, and she really didn't remember any warnings about huge places. Watch out for Hyenas, her mom's voice echoed in her head. And don't talk to non-pride members. She would obey her mother's advice, she was sure that a dangerous situation wouldn't arise. "Where are we going?" She asked as she ran alongside Tufah, her voice shaking with her footfalls.

(*Attempts to glue together the landscape from TLK1 and 2* Lalalala... X3'' )
One this side of the Pridelands, one end of the biggest gorge was outside of the boundries. It splintered into small gorges at this end, full of little caves. Of course, there was rumors of a local rhino group but Tufah had met one rhino before and knew that so long as you didn't anger them or their bird companions...they could sneak past them easy. If they even saw any. Two cubs could keep an ear out for huge rhino-beasts anyway.
"Almost there, down this dip. I don't know what it's called. Just don't run over the edge." She slowed up but only a little. The running and idea of actually exploring this place was exhillerating. She even had a friend with her! What would her siblings say? Or Tiah and father?

(( xd )) "Sounds like fun!" Noyana said, wondering if it was a river, or a gorge, or perhaps a sheer cliff. Maybe even a hole in the earth, dropping straight down. She followed Tufah as much as she could while running alongside her, happy to be out and about with a friend. Life didn't get much better than this.
Up ahead, she was sure there was some sort of ledge, she couldn't tell exactly what lay on the other side of the cut in the earth, but it looked to her like a gorge, because the other side was not too far away.

Thinking fast, she ran along the edge and straight down the third likely path they came across. It was broad and led down without any zig zags, much better than the first two which had looked less safe. When they got down though...then she wasn't so sure of their way.

Noyana checked out the surrounding region, looking for a sign of action. Down into the gorge she followed, looking both ahead and behind her. "Wow," she said as the pair descended, gazing up at the canyon's walls. "I wonder what carved this out?" She asked, as there was no river along the bottom. Though, in the wet season, it must have gotten full of water.
She wondered if there was, further down one way or another, water still left, but she kept her pondering to herself.

"Hmm...'the gods' " Tufah joked, miming a scooping-clawing action in the floor with one paw as she paused for a moment. Checking out the surroundings. It was pretty spectacular! And as she had said, massive...just downwards rather than up.
"Maybe the rains fill it during their season and it's dry the rest of the time."

Noyana imagined what it'd be like to be a goddess... She could do whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted! How great would it be to be able to carve out a canyon if you wanted? She liked the sound of it, it'd sure be fun.
She was pretty astonished at how the two had had the same thought process, thinking about the dry and wet seasons. Sure, perhaps it was common knowledge, but she still found it interesting.
"So what's down here?" She asked, wondering if Tufah knew or if she only just knew there was a gorge here. She looked around as she walked, taking in everything she could.

"Could be the remains of the water...and those look like caves up a head perhaps." Tufah shrugged and knocked a small rock with her foot - and was amazed at how the sound down here reverbarated. The echo was interesting and she kicked it again. Hmm.
Turning to offer a smile, she wondered what Noyana thought of all this. Or had any better ideas what to do with their time than explore.
"Only one way to find out I guess. Shall we?" She gestured towards the gorge floor before them, ready to go.

Noyana boldly lept onto the floor of the gorge, as if it was her living adversary- taunting her. She dug her claws in, gave up on that, and was quick to take a victorious stride towards the middle of the canyon, staring up at the walls, taking in not only the beauty, but the landmarks. Chances were that was the best way out of the gorge, and it'd be a good place to remember the position of.
"Nothin' scary down here," she said, plucking a rock from the ground and casually tossing it aside. "But it sure is interesting," She continued to look around, amazed at how high the walls were.

Tufah followed, head high and stepping proudly around the small rubble gracefully. It felt like they were the first young lions to be down here in a long time and she'd never heard of anyone she knew venturing here. It was impressive - the sights and the fact this was something new and theirs alone. Coming down here was much better than just going to the top of Pride Rock. It was a bigger experiance.
"Yes, it is. What do you think those are?" She pointed to a distant heap of something, half in and out of an inward dip in the gorge wall. Logs? Perhaps? But the Pridelands hadn't got so many trees as that and none near this gorge...

Noyana squinted to try to see what they were. "I'm not sure, Tufah. They can't be logs. Logs would be more... Randomly placed, wouldn't they?" She asked, turning to her friend. "This seems... organized. Maybe someone came and put the logs all facing one way?" She asked, looking back at the dark blob in the distance. "But why would someone do that?" She asked, more to herself than to Tufah.
"Only one way to know what it is!" Noyana said excitedly. She loved checking strange stuff out. Like that gorge with that little grey lioness. This was going to be another adventure, Noyana could feel it in her bones!
