"I thought I told you to get off of me!" The red head grunted, jabbing her elbow into the stomach of the man who was trying to take her out from behind. A low hiss emitted from the female as she slipped away from his reach, turning on heel before delivering a sweeping kick to knock him off of his feet. If only it had been that easy to take them down. When sent on jobs like this, they never sent just one person. It was always a handful of people that got sent, just in case things like this would happen--where the girl would fight back.

"You know, you people never ask nicely." She said, a cloud of green gas flowing in whispering trails from the girls mouth as she stared down another hulking henchman.

"Never call me for tea, or send an invitation. No 'Hey Venin, come be evil with us.'" She added, acting rather nonchalantly towards the whole scenario. Truth was, she was used to these kinds of things. Somewhere in the background a snake hissed as the chatty red head stumbled backwards, having received a malicious blow to the stomach. She coughed, another cloud of toxin seeping from her as she did so, shaking her head as she quickly recovered from having the wind knocked out of her. Two more of her abductors had fallen limp from the gas that had found its way into their lungs. She smirked, looking quite smug as she straightened herself out.

"Once upon a time, this whole kidnapping thing might have worked--after all, it did a few times." Venin said quickly, crouching down to narrowly avoid the large hand that swung at her. Perhaps kidnappers had gotten stupider, because these ones had come rather empty handed. That's exactly how she planned for them to leave. She quickly shot back up, snatching the wrist of the man in her hand, letting her green painted nails dig into his flesh as she twisted his arm up behind his back. She shook her head as she stood behind the man, oddly amused at how simple it had been to stop them. Perhaps they hadn't been prepared for her to fight back? Or maybe they expected the woman to be much weaker than she was.

"But really, I must refuse." She said coldly, her eyes narrowing into slits as she stared at the back of the man's head. She opened her mouth and bit down into his shoulder, letting venom flow into his bloodstream. She let out a 'hmph' as she kicked him to the ground, dusting off her hands.

"After all, being the villain is rather cliche." She said to no one as she knealt down, picking up one of the snakes who had slithered into her path.

Marvel Universe razz

After the insident with Brutus Geovani decided that he would just take his time and head for starks right away so not bothering to change out of Wraith form he headed to Stark Towers taking his time and stopping here and there just because he could.

He arrived at stark towers in the early morning because of the fact that he had taken alot of detours and such instead of flying straight there as he would have done if he had felt it was that important but it wasnt really because of the fact that he hadnt even gotten to fight brutus captain america had shown up before he could do so much as punch him.

Mainly he had been late because he had stopped to watch The Punisher take care of a drug house and respected the way that he had dealt with it and as such had not bothered to help. Not that The Punsher would have needed the help even if they hadnt mostly all been high.

As such when he reached stark towers he landed down an ally before reverting and walking calmly inside before saying to the clerk, "Im here to see Tony Stark."

The desk clerk replyed by saying, "Im sorry Mr. Stark is currently in a meeting at doesnt wish to be desturbed."

As the fact that Geovani didnt have his Avenger badge shown on the outside and he didnt feal like explaining it he simply went on the other side of a pillar and changed into his wraith form and floated up through the floors continuously scanning what he could see for Starks office before he eventually found it and outside the door retaking human form he knocked sevral times and waited for a reply.

"Yes, Charles, these are the men we have been keeping our eye on. I apologize that one of your team members was attacked. If only we had been able to act sooner..." Reed legitimately felt bad that a villain group under his team's nose had been recruiting and subsequently attacking other mutants. Reed was aware of the attack in Niagara on the reserve Avenger, Ceres. He had contacted Charles Xavier when it looked like a splinter team had moved towards the area near one of the X-Men's bases of operation.

"No apologies needed, Mr. Richards. We all know the dangers being in our business and being mutants," Charles kept his calm demeanor.

"Well, could you send Ms. Byrne to us, then, at Stark Towers. We are bringing in any super humans and mutants who have had contact with this group. Experience will be key in our mission especially if Doom is heading it," Reed asked.

"I will. I am sure Teagan will have no problem. Keep me informed of what is going on and if you need my X-Men's help."

"We will, Professor. Thank you for the offer."

Reed terminated the communication and picked up any of his data files needed. Sue walked up behind him and guided him out of his office. It was time to leave and rendezvous with the Avengers.

DC UNIVERSE
Standing up and brushing off his coat, Shane readied himself for the robbery when luck was on his side. He watches as someone who looks like a robber (by the gun he still has) runs full speed toward the train to a hopefull getaway. In close pursuit is some costumed hero, whose name and profile escaped him. She probably was extremely over shadowed by Superman, but who couldn't be in this city?

Digressing, Shane thrust himself into the thick of things in the only way he knew how: with style. Suddenly where he was stood mindfreak, with his mage robes and staff for effect. Being a quick change artist made this easy to do using just a flash-powder bomb. Striding out of the smoke with his yellow eyes burrowing holes into the would-be robber, he captures his senses and turns them against the man...

Running for dear life, Joe didn't bother to look back. He knew the she-devil was still behind him. How she took out his comrades so easily defied him. Their job was supposed to be easy with Superman dealing with aliens for now. Somehow they catch the sights of a another masked do-gooder who knew her stuff. Joe spys a train that is about to take off and knows if he can get on board and ditch it in the tunnels, he is home free. But suddenly, he feels his foot catch on something and adjusts his stride so he doesn't tumble so badly. Think he caught himself, he just kept on running...

Mind Freak watches as the man starts to run akward as he tries to stop his imaginary fall, which only caused him to truely fall face first, landing on the bridge of his nose which cracked with a sicking squwelch as blood erupted from it. Oblivious, the man continues to pound the ground as if trying to run, even though he is face first. Ending the false sensory information, Mind Freak broke a smile as the man, in confusion over what just happened, backed to the wall and grabbed his nose with his free hand drawing his gun, or at least so the man thought...

Holding out his fully automatic pistol, Joe sweeps the area to see who did that. In front of him is a man in a billowing purple cloak with runes of some weird language on the edging. "Yo' messin' wit' the wrong man, hommie," Joe said with a nasal accent as his nose was clogged with blood. Depressing the trigger, he shot the man in front of him until the bullets ran out and the clicking began. With a glare from his yellow eyes, all of the bullets stop in mid-flight and hover in the air, before turning into smoke. "Who are you?" Joe asked...

"It doesn't matter. All that matters is that I am next to you," Mind Freak said as he let the illusion of the gun, the bullets/smoke, and of himself drop. Before the man could process what was happening, Shane punched him in the temple, knocking himout. Turning to the lady who had just caught up, he smiled and said, "He's all yours. I'm glad I could help."

"You did good, T.J.," Superman said as him and Plasma were flying back from Titan. They had managed to win, but by the skin of their teeth. Mongul was probably one of Plasma's toughest challenges to date, and yet he knew that it was only going to get worse.

"If you call getting frozen with fear by the sight of someone who's twenty times your size doing well, then.... I'd hate to hear your definition of doing bad," Plasma retorted as they passed by the belt of asteroids between Mars and Jupiter.

"At least you were able to buy me enough time to put him down for good," Superman said as they seemed to be picking up speed as they neared Mars. "I'd feel bad for hurling him towards the depths of space, but I know he'll find a way back towards a civilization."

"Listen to you, Big Blue... using a final solution and sounding all absolute about it all."

"Word won't get out about this, I tru...," Superman was stopped as he touched his hand to his ear. Plasma knew what was up as he heard his comm unit chirp.

"We have a situation back on Earth," J'onn said to the two, "Apparently, someone has stolen some technology from Gorilla City." The look on Superman's face said it all, and Plasma had a gut feeling what was to be said next.

"Luthor."

"It's speculative at best," J'onn said, "But yes, all evidence is pointing in that direction, but it circumstantial. And from our mole in Cadmus, I'm hearing rumors of something being stirred up on a federal law enforcement level."

"You guys have your hands in everything, do you?," Plasma said in astonishment as the heroes were closing in on the Watchtower now. In mere seconds, they were zipping right by their headquarters.

"Indeed we do, Plasma. Clark. I want you and Plasma to head towards Gorilla City and talk with Solovar. He should be able to point you in the right.... Hold on. I'm receiving another transmission."

Plasma and Superman flew right by the Watchtower and headed straight towards Earth. This was one of the few things that T.J. had gotten used to. Re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere. Sure, it got a tad warm, but his emerald shield kept him perfectly safe. Superman, well... he was invunerable to virtually anything.

"Changes of plans. Superman, you're heading to Gorilla City by yourself. Plasma, I want you to head towards Metropolis. Rendezvous with Batman in roughly thirty minutes."

"Can do, J'onn," Plasma replied. That was a weight off of his shoulders. He knew that he wouldn't exactly be welcomed at Gorilla City, though with Superman there the tense situation wouldn't be as bad. The two flew down towards the ocean, their point of re-entry was roughly in the Atlantic Ocean, closer to the United States side of things.

"Good luck," Superman said to Plasma as they were flying fast towards the ocean. "And don't let Bruce freak you out."

"Easier said than done," Plasma replied with a chuckle. "Good luck." With that, the two heroes split off, Plasma towards Metropolis and Superman towards Africa. Plasma thought he heard a sonic boom, and looked back to see nothing but a vapor trail. Metropolis, here I come, he thought as he pushed himself as hard and fast as he could to meet Batman's time frame.

"This just isn't going to work right," Ceres said frustrated after trying to train in the training simulators. Her body knew that the scenery and everything was not organic. It was virtual, and virtual didn't work for her. Her powers did not want to agree and it was frustrating.

"You are only looking at the obvious," Stark said to her through an intercom. She dodged under a spray or shrapnel left at her by an opponent by the quickness she had built up earlier outside.

Ceres had been growing frustrated at his inane remarks. They were not helpful in the least. "You are not helping!" She yelled back but as she jumped over a robot who was coming at her, she grasped the air and pushed herself up. No, not everything was virtual. The air was still an element and she still maintained control. Tony was right, she was only looking at the obvious.

"There you go," He said approvingly as she started to use the air currents to her advantage and smashed her opponents, "We would continue on, but I've been informed Reed Richards has arrived."

Ceres left the room and grabbed a towel from a locker room. She walked down the hallway with Tony while patting off her brow before speeding the air currents around her to dry her hair even if it did still smell like sweat.

"What was it you wanted to try?" He said almost randomly. It took her a moment to realize what he was talking about. Putting down the towel, she responded, "I wanted to see if I could build an organic armor using the elements around me."

"Interesting concept," He said and led her to a main meeting room where team members were beginning to assemble. Ceres sat off to a corner not wanting to interfear too much, but she believed that her group would have a bigger roll in this as it unfolded.

DC Universe whee

Huge steel buildings towering stretching up endlessly echoing the sounds of people rushing by juggling so many things at one time mingled with the lights of cars like a free-for-all of falling shooting across a concert sky. Up above it all with her feet dangling over the roof a skyscraper Aria sat happily enjoying a freshly made soft pretzel. From underneath her cloak her golden eyes where shining with excitement as she watched the city below. American cities where just so different.

Feeling a gentle hand placed on her head Aria looked up with a smile into the eyes of Phantom Stranger; her beloved father figure and mentor. “Are you enjoying the view my dear?” She smiled at him with a smile that beamed an enthusiastic yes. He smiled at her return. Aria held such innocence that almost seemed to be unseen in this day and age; it warmed his heart.

“We should get going my dear, you still need to find and meet up with your contact at the train station.” They where to work separately this time. Truth be told Phantom Stranger very commonly left on many missions alone, leave Aria at one of their many safe houses, but this would be the first time she would ever work separate from him.

Aria was to attend to some business at Wayne Enterprises on her mentor’s behalf while he attend to other business in Metropolis. He wouldn’t go into detail of what this other business entailed, only say that he did not what to expose her to the dangers of it, but the unseen words where what put her mind in a state of uneasiness.

Even though she couldn’t speak word where not needed Phantom always knew how Aria felt. Brushing aside a few locks of her snow white hair he placed a kiss gently on her forehead. “Everything will be alright my dear.” He reassured her. “There is nothing to worry about; we will see each other again soon.” Her worries eased with his words. With that he gave her one last smile and with a flap of his cloak disappeared.

Sibyl skid to a halt beside of the young man who had stopped the runner in his tracks and rushed out a word of thanks just before he actually spoke, flushing. She tend to respond before the initial comment was made, but she was working on that. It was just something she had to mentally force herself to do.

"Thanks" she repeated as she knelt down and checked the fallen body for weapons. Once satisfied, she secured the hands firmly behind his back before glancing up at the young man still standing nearby. He looked vaguely familiar, in his stance and his style of dress, but what tipped her off was the yellow eyes he had. He was one of Bruce's new kids, she had seen him around the mansion once or twice at the very most when she was doing reconnaissance on the Dark Knight a few months back.

She turned her head to either side, relieved no one was nearby to overhear, but nevertheless, kept her voice to a minimum volume. "So is it redundant to ask if you're here for a mission?"

Shane looked at her, and couldn't help but smile as she blushed. Not often you meet a young super hero who isn't all uppity and perfect and Wonder Woman. He mentally smacked himself in the head for not thinking to do something with him after subduing him. Goes to show how accustmed he was to having the Black Knight watch behind him, or leaving the perps in a position were they couldn't do anything. Hell, it could just be that he was rushed.

Shane watched her eye him, and make eye contact. Inside he lept for joy and her eyes glimmered with recognition. At least someone knew who he was, or at least had an idea, and she was a superhero no less, though not one he knew. But he could see that in the future he would get to know her, and hopefully quite well.

"No, um, not at all. But yes, I guess it would be called a mission. Though it is more like a fishing expidition right now. I am to find dirt on Lex Luthor. He apparently has something he isn't supposed to and might make some big something with it and do something bad, I suppose. Make sense? Good, I don't understand myself. By the way, my moniker is Mind Freak," Shane said instantly regretting it. Someone who recognized him might also recognize him for his criminal record. Opps.

"So, would you like to help me? I assume Batman is on his way as he is going to be worried the government is using me as I am out of Gotham. Though I would bet he won't show up for a good time, though. As this is your City, do you know where Lex Tower is, so we can begin the investigation? That is, if you wish to help," he finished. But knowing Someone could have been trying to listen in, he had his part of the conversation fabricated and inserted into her mind, as audio only that he lip synched to.

Forellen was met at the elevator by someone, she assumed he was an Avenger...she really didn't get his name and led down the halls of the headquarters. She was first shown to a guest room but since she really hadn't brought anything with her she didn't really pay all to much attention to it. She memoriesed the directions to it but that was about it. Once she had a room she was escorted to a meeting room. Forellen was never comfortable in a group situation Forellen tucked herself off to the side and settled herself into a chair. "Shoot..." She said as she remembered her leaving her coffee in the car. She sighed morning it's loss for the moment.

Plasma flew as fast as he could towards Metropolis. Of course, he had to contend with various flights and other airborne dangers. Birds, news choppers, and the like. The Eastern seaboard was rather busy no matter what time of day it was. Though, he figured that an emerald streak of light across the night sky would be a good sign for people to get out of the way.

"Plasma. Where are you?" T.J. knew who it was that was calling him over the comm. Batman.

"I'm on the way. Nearly got plowed over by a 777 jumbo liner," Plasma replied as he saw the limits of Metropolis. There was no mistaking the majestic skyline of such a massive city. And to think, this was Superman's Earthly base of operations. Just one man could keep this city safe. Well, one man and his cousin, armored friend, and twenty year old clone. "Where are you at?"

"Two buildings over from the Daily Planet. Batman out."

"The Planet," Plasma said to himself as he began darting back and forth through the narrow corridors of the city's skyscrapers. There were only two buildings that stood tall over all else in Metropolis; The Daily Planet's building and LexCorp tower. LexCorp Tower beat the former by a good fifteen stories. While Plasma was heading towards the heart of Metropolis, he was almost certain he saw a red and blue streak buzz by him towards the wharf section of the city. "Wonder if that was Kara?," he said quietly to himself as he noticed the Planet was roughly half a mile away. Using a bit of residual energy from his ring, he scanned two buildings over in each direction and saw Batman standing tall, albeit in the shadows, to the left of the Planet. In no time at all, Plasma floated himself down on top of the skyscraper.

"Batman. J'onn said you need some assistance?," Plasma asked.

"No doubt he did," Batman replied coldly. "One of my associates in Gotham, from what I hear, has turned up in Metropolis."

"And that's a problem?"

"It is. He is not supposed to leave the city limits."

"What? Is he on some sort of probation?," Plasma asked.

"He is." Batman squinted when he replied, obviously not keen on divulging that information. Batman knew though about Plasma's civilian job. He knew what he did in his regular life as well as he super hero life featured many parallels. And for as distrusting as Batman was of cops, T.J. was just glad to have earned the little that he had. "I'm almost positive he has something to do with..."

"The federal government's investigation of Luthor?," Plasma replied, much to the ire of Batman. Without hesitation, Plasma started to do a peripheral scan of the streets of Metropolis. One of the many benefits of his power ring. It was a scanner of high caliber.

"J'onn must have let you in on that then," Batman said while Plasma furthered his scan outwards, away from the closest streets and buildings. "The federal agents must have done something to my tracer. I can't get a lock on..."

"Description?," Plasma asked. His police demeanor started to shine through a bit.

"Roughly your height. Long, flowing cloak," Batman replied.

"Eureka, I suppose," Plasma said as he started to fly upwards. "Give me a tracer. I'll hold on to it until you show up. Then, I suppose you can scold him as you see fit." Plasma knew he had gotten another harsh glare from Bats as he sped off towards the direction of the man with the long, flowing cloak. Three miles was nothing to someone who could fly via cosmic energy. In a matter of two minutes, Plasma was hovering over the cloaked figure who had a female nearby, but didn't say a word until he floated down behind the two. Even though he was sure the emerald light surrounding him gave him away.

"Don't worry. I'm a friend. I'm with the League," Plasma said to the young man in front of him. "And from what I understand, you have a friend in a high place looking for you, sir." As he said that, Plasma held out his right hand, revealing the bat shaped tracking device he held, hoping whomever this guy was, he'd get the hint. "By the way. I'm called Plasma. Whatever is going on here, I was told to help."

"Avengers," Reed said stepping in front of his tea, the Fantastic Four, "Thank you for having me. As most of you are aware, I will be heading this mission along with Tony Stark. Those of you are are guests to the Towers here, we asked you along because you've had some form of contact with our common enemy. We feel experience is key here..."

He pulled up a map of Dr. Doom's new base somewhere on the border of New York City, "Doom is operating out of here. We have intelligence that he's recruited the baddest and best elemental mutants... as many of us have seen. He's tried bringing in a few of you. A few of you, such as Nix, are next on his list. We are going to divide and conquer."

"Inside, we believe he is trying to hone the power of his team to power a secret weapon. This weapon can rip apart the fabric of the Earth if he succeeds..."

"A Team is the outside team. You will be taking on the elementals and serving as the diversion. A Team is: myself, Captain America, Ms. Marvel, Quicksilver, Ceres, Nix, Ghost, Shifter, and Venin.

B Team is the inside team. You will be heading inside to stop Doom and destroy his machine. Team B includes Iron Man, Thor, Scarlet Witch, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, The Thing, Crystal, and Vision.

All other Avengers are to stay on reserve incase we need you to move in. We leave in one hour, team! Suit up and meet on the hangar to board the jets. If you don't have your uniform here, we have plenty of spares."

Since Geovani was already suited up and ready to go he went ghost and floated first up to the top floor then everywhere else untill he eventually found the hanagar where he decided that he would just wait and see who showed up for the boarding of the Jets and he woul just follow either Reed Richards Captn America Ms marvel Quick Ceres Nix Shifter or Vennin onto a jet it all just depended on who showed up first or if any of B team got on a Jet he would get on the Other one.

DC UNIVERSE

Lex Luthor was standing on the cat walk with a glass of Shardinay in his hand and a thin smile on his lips. The theft had gone off perfectly. He had what he needed: all the power in the universe. The scientists below him were currently rigging up the power and the computer systems to create the singularity. He looked down at his watch, only a few more minutes before he would have to go live with the work. Suddenly a low hum filled the room, the power had been turned on and everything was active. After the diagnostics were run and everything was green, Lex walked to where he had the camera situated. As he adjusted his tie, he imagined what Superman would say to this newest work. Even he couldn't be mad with Lex. After all this good intention would give everyone environmentally clean power and at such a high rate, science could be pushed further, computers could get more powerful, and all of the worlds problems would dissapear as everything became wired. Of course Lex Corp would be at the head of it all, but that was a minor matter.

The light turned green on the camera at Lex's command and he cleared his voice.

Everywhere else in the DC Universe

The National Emergency broadcaste system activated, taking control of all broadcast and narrowcast trasmissions of radio, television, and iternet news feeds. Lex suddenly stood on every tv screen, every computer monitor, and his presense was felt through every radio in the United States.

"Citizens of the United States, I beg that you pardon my interruption, but I could not wait to tell you my good news. Through diligence and American hard work, my scientists and I have discovered a break through. We have found a new source of energy that is begging to be exploited. We have proved Theory of the Multiverse is no theory, but hard truth. And their is a cosmic energy that all of the different universes float in. It is vast and infinite and powerful. Here, at my research lab outside Metropolis, my scientists and I have discovered how to siphon out this cosmic energy through a singularity and feed it into the power grid of the nation. Think, unlimited electricity to power our nation that leaves no emmisions and no harmful toxic waste. Enough power to through brute application, advance science by providing enough electricity to power electromagnets, super-colliders, super-computers, and all other grand scientific schemes. Enough watts to make our boarders safe from attack at all times. Enough volts to power through chemical reactions to rid us of air polution. In two hours, after the machines have warmed up and calibrated themselves, I will give the okay to turn on the generators and start the ball rolling of our future. "

And as suddenly as the message came on, the screens and radios went back to what was on.

DC UNIVERSE ninja *Edited for grammar errors and the horrible flow whee *

A loud resounding knock came from over sized doors of Lex Luthor’s office; much to his displeasure, wanting to bask longer in his own self-glory. In poked a lumbering excuse for a goon who got an icy glare of disdain for the disturbance. Switching instantly butt-kissing mode the lummox finally managed to remember how to speak. “That was a wonderful broadcast Mr. Luthor, sir, truly wonderful. I’m sure everyone will...”

Shut up you big oaf you probably didn’t even understand a word of what was being said. Now you better have a good reason for disturbing me or else you might be finding yourself becoming a new test subject in the research wing.”

The goon could have wet himself right there and then. Quickly he stumbles to recover. “Yes!... Yes sir! My... my men have picked up Ms. Leo from the train station sir. She is waiting right outside to see you sir.”

"Then why are you wasting MY time. Bring her in already!"

Like a trained dog the beast compels leading the young lady in. Lex giving her the look over as she removes the hood of her cloak. Striking golden eyes and snow colored hair stood out from the features of her face and her uniquely medieval styled clothing, a very striking figure indeed. “Ah... Ms. Alisa Leo welcome. It is an honor to finally meet you, I have heard much of your work. I'm pleased that you where able to be on such short notice.” Ushering her in, Lex put on a full dose of his charisma; which he more commonly used to win the public eye. Alisa flashed him a charming smile at him as he spoke. All seemed to be going well.

Alisa Leo not know to many and seen by even fewer, was an up and coming weapons dealer with some very powerful networks at her disposal. Many that some of the dark circles have had their eyes on for quite some time. LexCorp. being one of them; and now it was even quite possible that Alisa herself was now an item of interest.

Giving her the eye over once again. “I trust your business went?”

Alisa smiles coyly playing along with his games as she hands Luthor a small briefcase whose contents contains a single microchip.

“Excellent.... It would have been impossible to complete the project without this. You have my deepest apologies for having you to clean-up the mess left by my incompetent staff. but as I can see everything went well.” Just smiling Alisa brushed off comment as if it was nothing. In reality though, acquiring the chip from Gorilla City had not proven to be an easy task, especially after the last theft occured. Even her mentor had some difficulties aquiring it. But in order to win over the trust of Mr. Lex Luthor Alisa had to “get her hands dirty” as the saying goes.

“Now my dear lady, now that we have everything accounted for shall we head down below and finish up preparations?”
He said with a self-satified grin as her wrapped an arm around her shoulder and lead her toward the elevators. Yes, everything was going according to plan.

As they descended Alisa had to smile to herself, realizing how oblivious Luthor was to the real situation at hand; or the fact that she had not spoken a word since they meet. Truth be told he was to wrapped around himself to notice such things. Course their was something else on her mind to smile about. She started to wondering how much longer it would be till the Capped Crusader had noticed the signal of a missing tracer that was securely hidden inside her hair ribbon. It’s all a matter of time.
