Lady Crystal sighed and walked closer to Lily. "I'm disappointed, I at least expected a 'Damn you' or 'You'll never get away with this'," she sneered as she yanked on Lily's manacles again. "Or maybe 'Arlen will come for me, just you wait'. But then again that's what I want. And you know what? He'll come whether you're dead or alive so unless you want me to walk you over that cliff I suggest you humor me."

Lily looked to Crystal, arching a brow. "I really am beginning to think you killed Richard. Poor guy." she commented quietly. "And frankly, humoring you is not really one of my top priorities at the moment. Threatening me isn't really the way to go. It's not like I have much left to lose."

Crystal sighed again, disappointed that Lily wasn't going to play along. "Suit yourself then." There was a slight tug as the ice anklets started to pull Lily towards the cliff, but it stopped abruptly as Crystal frowned, looking past Lily to where the man in the mask had come into view. "I thought I ordered you to keep an eye on Tynan," she said sternly.

"Unruly minions... that's a sign of bad leadership." Lily called over her shoulder, though now she was a little closer o the edge than she'd like. Still... she sounded supremely unconcerned with her fate. "Maybe you should sign up for classes or something to improve yourself."

Lady Crystal ignored Lily's taunt and glared at the man. "Do you forget that I am in charge of this operation?" She said firmly. "That means I give you orders."
"And you forget," the man said, reaching up to his face. "I don't take orders from you." Pulling the hood back and the mask away revealed none other than Arlen, his hair flowing out to brush against his shoulders and his smile triumphant.
"How? When!?" Crystal said, flustered.
"A few weeks ago," Arlen said. "Now let Lily go."

"Oh Arlen... thank the gods you're alright..." Lily breathed, suddenly sagging. She gave him a warm smile, then arched a brow at Crystal. "You heard the man. Let Lily go."

"You want her," Crystal scowled, grabbing Lily's manacles and throwing her towards the cliff. "Then catch her!"

Lily yelped as she was shoved, stumbling a bit. Because of the way she was bound, she couldn't do much to catch herself, and she teetered frighteningly on the edge for several seconds before falling off completely, a yell ripping it's way from her throat.

"Lily!" Arlen shouted, sprinting past Crystal and leaping off of the cliff after her.

By the time he'd jumped, however, Lily had already plummeted beyond his view, falling into the clouds that often surround high peaks. He would still be able to hear her terrified scream however... as did someone else.
She'd been sleeping, she realized on waking, for a very long time. Ages in fact... looking around, blinking her mettalic blue eyes, she yawned and stretched, flapping her bat-like wings as well. There was a reason she'd finally gotten up... there it was... a sort of screaming. Someone was in trouble. That called to something inside of her, and she ran to the mouth of her cave and dove, powerful wings flapping loudly. Spotting Lily, the strange humanoid creature headed for her with a speed that was rather incredible, catching the teen and straining upwards; Lily's yells abruptly cut off as she gazed at the woman who'd saved her, wide-eyed.

"Lily!" Arlen called again as he dove after her, hoping he wasn't too late. As he fell he spotted what looked like a bat winged woman carrying Lily. His eye's going wide with surprise and gratitude. Relieved that she was alright he momentarily forgot that he wasn't in such a fortunate situation.

Cursing the foolish nature of these groundwalkers, Salindara held Lily tightly in one arm, and then dove to Arlen, wings pulled in tightly as she free-fell towards him. Teeth bared with the strain and effort of it so soon after waking, she reached out as she neared him, offering him her aid as well. As she did, Lily noticed that everything about the woman was blue... even her skin and hair were a light, icy shade of the color, while her wings were a dark, midnight blue. Only her clothes offered a variation, her slightly tattered dress being white. "Grab on!" The woman shouted to Arlen as all three kept falling, voice tinged with a strange and unplaceable accent.

Arlen shook his head, bringing himself back to the real world. "Keep her safe," he said to the strange woman, trusting her to take care of Lily for a while. Twisting about her reoriented himself, careful not to look down at the approaching ground. Looking back to where he fell from he closed his eyes, pulling inside, all he needed was a single spark and. The cloak he had been wearing was ripped away as two bars of an emerald metal protruded from his back. There was a small flash and the Verdant Flame flowed from the metal bars to connect with the harness from which they protruded. Once the wings were formed he instantly shot up at a blistering speed.

Lily watched in awe, let let out a joyous whoop, pumping her fist in the air. He was alright, and he could fly, and everything would be okay now.
Salindara blinked, then began her own upward climb. These groundwalkers were strange, she realized, wondering just how long she'd really been asleep. In her day, these pink, furless creatures would hardly have dared venture up this mountain, let alone pulled such stunts on them... it was a new world now, she supposed. Flapping her wings hard, she slowly rose to the summit of the mountain, where Lily had been pushed from.

Crystal leaned cautiously over the edge of the cliff, looking down. She was pretty sure that they would have both hit the bottom by now, but she hadn't heard anything that indicated that and she couldn't see through the clouds that surrounded the summit.
Arlen almost collided with Crystal as he soared straight up, the wings closing and the Verdant Flame dissipating as he fell the few feet he had over shot, stumbling a bit as he landed. Thankfully Crystal was too shocked to take advantage of the opportunity and he was soon pressing the advantage, his hands formed to what resembled claws and soon covered with the Crimson Blaze as he slashed at Crystal who staggered back away from the edge, barely avoiding being hit.
