"Yeah, but sometimes I ask if it was worth it..." Isaac looked at his feet as he walked now. He even started counting his foot steps. Reflecting he thought, "Was it worth it? Would a normal life be better? Happier? Maybe I wouldn't be so lonely most of the time..."

Rainer frowned at the back of Armine's head. Wiping bangs out of her face, Rainer started to say something, but then closed her mouth. Her dark green eyes glittered slightly as she thought.
"Well, there's still time to make friends," Rainer said as lightly as she could. "You're still pretty young." Mouth cracking into a smile, Rainer laughed slightly.
"You definitely have a lot of time to make more friends. And with you going no where but up, who knows what kind of friends you'll make?"

Isaac smiled to himself and resisted the urge to whip around and hug her, and to bend over backwards again to look at her. "That's true, and with any luck, maybe we'll be real friends. And not just partners. I had never really thought of that though. Thanks!" Isaac was really starting to like Rainer now, in a friendly way.

Rainer's dark green eyes crinkled as her mouth lifted into the largest smile that day. The happiness in Armine's voice was evident. His reaction made her nervousness and shyness melt away, leaving only Rainer. Biting her lip slightly, Rainer quickened her pace to walk beside Armine, instead of staring at the back of his mysterious red head.
Smiling slightly, Rainer looked at Armine and said,
"Yeah. That'd be great. I haven't had real friends in quite a while."

Isaac glanced at her, noticing her small smile. "Yes, that would be." Isaac blinked, noticing it was a lot cooler and darker. "It's getting late. Want to set up camp here or you feel up to going a little farther?" Isaac wanted to give Rainer options, to help with his discomfort at leading. And he didn't care either way. "We must be equally stupid. We should've just come out here at night rather than sweating half to death in the heat..."

Rainer blinked in surprise and looked up. It was getting late. The stars were beginning to come out and the sun was nearly gone.
"Oh, wow," she commented lamely. "I guess we could stop here," Rainer continued, stopping. Quickly, Rainer made the calculations. They wouldn't be able to walk much further without light, so even if they stopped here, they'd be in Deling way before noon. Nodding to herself, Rainer looked up at Armine and said,
"Yeah, let's stop here. I'm tired..." Sighing, Rainer wished there was a creek around. Her hair, face and clothes were covered in dust. "Besides, this is as good a place as any."

“Alright, then get comfy. We don’t have anything to sleep on really. So I hope you enjoy the sand…” Isaac said as he fell backwards into the sand. He made a little sand angel and looked up at the stars. “Have you ever wondered what’s up there? Like really? Maybe that there’s others?” ”Did I just say that? Dout! That was stupid, and probably really weird..”

Rainer raised a well-groomed eyebrow at Armine's actions. He was making... a sand... angel? How peculiar. The sight of him lying there in the sand made Rainer's mouth twitch as she tried not to laugh. Clearing her throat, Rainer sat beside him and leaned back on her hands and studied the night sky.
"Well," she murmured in response, "The Ragnarok has been up there before, though now it can't go into space..." Rainer's eyebrows furrowed as she tried to remember her history lessons.
"They used to shoot people into space, until they no longer had the Ragnarok after the Sorceress Wars," she continued. "So no one really knows... I think, however, that it would be a terrible waste of space if there wasn't anything or anyone out there."
Rainer sighed, lost in her contemplations of the sky as she sat beside Armine.

Isaac was simply looking at the stars now. He enjoyed doing that to sort of forget whatever worries he had. After all, they were beautiful. The sand was still kind of warm and Isaac was dozing. He quickly fell asleep and his breathing slowed.

she decided to have a break after walking for such a long time.
She looks around her and wondered if her comrades are in the
same place as she is.

A bit after Rainer had answered Armine's question, she realized that he was sleeping. Looking down, Rainer saw him sleeping peacefully on the sand. Grinning, Rainer moved slightly away from him and lay on her side, her head resting on her arm. Slowly, Rainer's eyes drifted closed, her dreams featuring the stars.

Rainer was shaken awake, "Hey, Rainer, get up." Isaac was standing over her. It was still kinda dark and cool. He was ready to help her up again. "I thought we should start when it was a little cooler, rather than baking temperature." He smiled to her.

Yawning, Rainer sat up, blinking groggily. For a momet, Rainer forgot where she was, but then yesterday came rushing back to her. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes before taking Armine's hand and stood. The sun hadn't come up yet. Rainer was slightly grouchy, but she understood Armine's reasons.
"Okay," Rainer murmured. "Let's go."
Rainer started walking north, squinting at the horizon as she did so. She could just make out the lights and shape of Deling. Rainer's mouth broke into a smile as she turned to Armine.
"Come on! Deling is only a few miles away!"
At this, Rainer pulled on Armine's hand and started jogging.
"It won't be long till we get there," she said.

"Hey, okay, okay!" Isaac said to Rainer as he was pulled along. "Atleast she's a little happier. I wonder how long this will last until she gets back to the 'listen to him and be all boring because he's a rank higher'...." He jogged up even with her and smiled. Then he picked up the pace and ran through the sand, keeping his balence on the shifting sands. He knew it would turn into hard ground again soon enough.
