You didn't break the converation, Trikira. blaugh In fact, it spawns a new conversation (since the last one was pretty dead... sweatdrop )
Yes, I think right now, that glasses are better than contacts as well. It's mainly for convenience sake and the fact that each time I wear the contacts for more than 4 hours I get a massive red eye...
I really, really want the Lasic (sp?) surgery as well. I have fairly bad eye sight with -5.5 in each eye. Sigh. My glasses would be super thick if I did not get the special extra thin version (I cannot remember what the name is...) of lenses. I like my glasses, but I've had them for a few years now, and maybe would like to upgrade them for a better pair, though I'd seriously like the Lasic better than any glasses. 3nodding

There's a news story about an eye blindness. I wonder if I have it, since it seems that my eyesight has been going bad so rapidliy, although maybe it's just me.

I know that I went from normal vision to the vision I have now in about 2 years time (if not sooner). If you're young this could be just your eyes adjusting to your growth. However, if you're older than 16-18 and this is still happening at a very rapid rate, I would contact your eye doctor and see if there is a bigger issue.

Okay then (I'm only 13!). I think I went with my normal vision to a -3 in a year or two. Hmm...

That sounds about right. Though, it still might be good to get it checked. 3nodding

We don't seem to have enough money or time nowadays.

Not enough time, how so and in what way? I can see where money can play a part, but I'm a little curious about the time part? sweatdrop

Well, my dad works from 5:00 to 3:00, so he comes home at 3:30. My mom works from 7:00 to 5:30, so she comes home at 7:00. She has to work on weekend now that her paycheck was cut off, so she works from 7:00 to 2:00 every Saturday. My eye exams are on Saturday, at 12:00, and the dentist's hours are from Monday to Friday, which is a big problem. I found time to go to my eye exams, but I haven't been to a dentist in six years! My sister hasn't been to one at all!

Have you thought that your father could take you? I know that many places stay open until 6pm. 3nodding Even on Saturdays. Also, you could just switch your eye exam times to sometime later, they do allow that. Rescheduling, that is. See if you can get something that is after 3pm either on the weekends or the weekdays. Just call around and see what you can come up with. blaugh

Yeah, that's how I went to my eye exams. My dad only goes when it's necessary, but I still bug him to take me.

It's good, isn't it? Having the feeling of being able to have your teeth cleaned!
