Minori grinned sheepishly. "It wasn't my fault! I couldn't see her face, and I didn't know she was sleeping, until she let out a huge snore." The girl winced at the memory, stretching her legs out she felt a cramp in one. "I don't think anyone saw...and I hope not."
"Mmhmm." The girl smiled. "I miss them but..." She shook her head and looked at him. "I'm met some pretty great friends here too."
"Well...alright." Minori's insides seemed to flip over. "Just don't blame me if my dad scares you."

"A huge snore? Wow," he said, raising an eyebrow. "Well thankfully no one did!" He hoped he didn't snore during the times he dozed off during long flights. Though one time his mouth had been partially open and Ena had placed random food items in his mouth and taken a picture.
"I'm happy you did." Takumi smiled back genuinely. "The worst thing is not being able to make new friends in a new environment."
"Don't worry, I'm sure I've got the material to pass," he joked. "If not I'll just improvise. I do need to work on my improvisation skills. They come in handy in life." He looked down at Mikan, who had apparently dozed off with her head in his lap, and grinned. "I see our incessant talking has tired her out."

Minori didn't exactly snore either, or at least, she hoped she didn't. It would be rather embarrassing, especially if she fell asleep in a public area...not like she usually did, of course. Even if she did, her mother would kill her.
"True. I hate to feel alone." And that was the truth. The girl never liked to be the only one in a crowd. Admittedly, sometimes, time alone could be well spent, but without friends, Minori would most assuredly go bonkers.
"Oh yes, improvisation is very important." Minori said this in a mock tone of seriousness then laughed. The girl looked down tenderly at the dog and reached over and patted her. "We're not that boring. Besides, it's getting late." She glanced at her watch and winced.

Takumi nodded in agreement. "My improv skills have gotten rusty... I suppose now's the best time to put them to use." He scratched Mikan's muzzle lightly to wake her up. The dog blinked sleepily and raised her head to look curiously at them.
"It's time to go home, now," he said fondly. At the word 'home', the Irish setter quickly got up on all fours and stretched, wagging her tail in delight. Takumi brushed the dog hair from his lap and glanced at Minori. "Are you walking home? I can come with you if you'd like. I'm sure they won't be missing me for a bit longer."

Minori stood up with a grin, brushing sand off her legs. Her father would kill her if she went home late, without a valid reason. For some reason, it was hard for the girl to lie. Plus, she couldn't come up with an excuse that her father wouldn't look into.
"If you want to." She grinned, looking back at him.
