Kibo Botch

Kibo spies the book, taking a look only at the words "Davy Jones" before letting out a quiet groan.

Kibo: My god, he's making partnerships with everyone, isn't he? Well, that explains the disappearance of all those souls not too long ago.

Storm stopped. She could have sworn that she'd heard Kibo's voice.

"Perposturouse. He can't be everywhere, can he? Now where's Michael..."

She contiuned on and opened the door to the captain's quarters. Storm jumped in suprise and alarm at Kibo standing there.

Kibo: 'allo there. Just brushing up on my history. Look at this, the history of the Spanish Navy. This chapter in particular is quite interesting.

He opens a small book, and points to a passage mentioning the "Great Captain Don Miguel."

Kibo: Also, seems like he had an interest in the afterlife. Not like me, though. He had a particular subject in mind.

He indicates a small sections of books in the library, all about the Devil, and his various ways of capturing poor souls.

Kibo: One more thing. Look at this.

He opens on of the books, and points out a sentence reading, "All stories of the Devil, be it by the name of Beelzebub, Satan, Lucifer, the Damned One, or almost any other story, all share one common theme: The using of a book, be it by the Devil himself, or by a common henchman. Anyone who made their mark in said book became immediately and permanently in the service of the Devil."

Kibo: Interesting, no?

"Very. How does one bind their soul to him?"

Kibo: Simply writing their name in his book will do it. After that, their soul is no longer their property, but His. There's no turning back. Once you do it, that's it. End of the line. You're damned to spend eternity in the abyss, once you die, of course. Which is inexplicably sooner once you're in His service.

"That's it? You just...sign your name? Huh."

*The doors to the captain's quarters burst open a third time as Storm and Kibo turned expecting to find Michael, they found Victor standing in the door way. Rather, than sounding the alarm Victor moved to make sure no one was coming and shut the door behind him.*

Victor: "You are that Admeral from before, Botch right? Admeral you have to help me, the Captain, he aint himself. Admeral Botch you gotta help me."

Storm rolled her eyes.

"You date the devil, you don't change him. He changes you."

Kibo, before Victor even had a chance to react, was across the room, grabbing him by the collar, and holding him close to his face, boring into him with his piercing red eyes.

Kibo: Have you signed your name in that damned book of his?
PostPosted: Sun Jul 01, 2007 8:28 am

Victor: "My name sir? Oh no, you think too lightly of this book. No Mortal can sign their own name to this book... Only a captain may sign the name of their ship to the book..."

*Victor did not struggle against Kibo's attack and hoped that through his information they would trust him enough to help him.*

Victor: "Remember, when my Captain wished for you to sign... he asked you to bring all of your captains with you to sign in the book. I am not a captain of a ship and so I could not sign my name to the book, I am free."

Kibo: Oh, I can see how free you are. Breaking your back to serve a fool who doesn't even realize how much of an asset you are. But just to be safe...

Kibo holds out his hand, and a spirit orb appears. However, rather than the blue color of every other spirit Kibo had summoned, this one was instead a brilliant shade of white. Kibo draws his hand back, and pushes it against Victor's chest, the spirit sinking into him.

Kibo: If you double-cross me, that spirit will kill you. Very very painfully, I might add. Like having your skin torn off inch by inch, and your muscles ripped from the bone.

*Victor backs down and still does not sound the alarm. Instead he checks to make sure no one is listening from outside.*

Victor: "Fair enough, Ever since he's come into posession of that book, he's changed. For example: two weeks before we arrived in Tortuga the Cpatain had aranged for negotiations for the Nation of France to to sign over half of their fleet in return for maps and fleet attack plans from Spain. The French government thought they'd be getting a deal, just sign some names with no actual document to ensure their loyalty. So on our way to the meeting place we were attacked by a rouge merchant ship. The Captain was in a bit of a rush so we destroyed everything and kept on going."

*Victor could sense the others were thinking "why are you telling me this?" so he skipped ahead.*

Victor: "So 'bout an hour later we were attack by another ship. Captain immobalized the ship and had us lock up the crew below deck. There was the captain, the brother of the man we killed earlier that day, the crew and three stow-aways. There was an old man, he didn't look to great but he put up more of a fight than the rest of the crew. Then there was a women in her thirties, and a little girl... couldn't be more than 7 years old. After we locked them up we kept on our way. We made it to the island an hour late, turns out the French Admeral was a real jerk when it came to being on time. He took us as a joke and left. The Captain was furious..."

*Victor began to shake.*

Victor: "So he ordered us to bring ropes and tie 'em to the main mast. He hung 'em all. It was a killer to watch that lil' angel fall from the main mast. They all fell at once... each one dead... So you can see, he needs help. Mr. Botch only a man of your talents can help him."

Storm was confused.

"I am confused. You say Michael isn't in his right mind. And yet he did the right thing and hung the prisoners when he contact wasn't there. Why is that out of the ordinary?"

Victor: "I forget who i talk to, to a pirate this is custom but not to a man of military standards. whether or not you think what he did then was just you must help me, he plans to destroy Tortuga and sell you all to Davy Jones."

*At that moment the symbol of the Kraken carved into the doorway began to glow and the three were caught in spectral tenticles that snaked up from the floor. The tenticles first caught them by the neck and then imbolalized their arms and legs. Then, the door opened for a fourth time and Michael entered.*

Michael: "Hello all, am I late for something?"

*Michael walked over to victor and stabbed his cutlas through him.*

Michael: "I expected better from you."

Storm grinned.

"Ah there you are, Michael. Just the man I was looking for. I want to join your crew, but on one condition."
