"I have no idea, but it's such a beautiful night out tonight, don't ya think?" She smiled widely. She started to fiddle with her fingers then looked down to see paint all over her arms. She quickly placed them behind her back hoping that Jamison hadn't already noticed. Zeyla walked over to a spot where there wasn't that many people and sat cross legged on the ground. "It's kind of weird, all of this talk about 'worm people' and they finally find one. It's actually pretty hard to believe."

... "Don't even think about getting all cutesy with that girl, she's pure evil," she warned, giving him the stink eye before she started laughing.

Carlos looked indignant "What? Who said anything about being cutesy?" A pillow came from nowhere and bounced off his face.

"We know you were thinking it by what you said earlier!" Leslie said, preparing another pillow. Carlos shielded himself.

"Hey, we're forgetting the important stuff. What are we going to do about settling the score for Alaina?" Carlos pleaded, hoping to avoid another pillow.

"For once, and you might as well mark this day down in history, you're right Carlos. We should head out and meet up with the other guys at Main Street. All of City Rush will be there, certainly we can come up with something good. Is that good, Alaina? If so, we should head over there...want to have enough time to get her good." Leslie added with a smirk.

... If it did not, he would put the leash around it, and probably immediately start walking off to the local park.

Puffin fidgeted a little but otherwise accomadated Aaron as the leash became secure. Feeling a little put out by the treatment her master gave her, she was content that a walk was just what she needed to put it all behind her. Come to think of it, neither one of her masters had much respect for her. Short though she was, and harsh and shrill her bark: she had no control over that. Nonetheless she held her head proudly as they exited onto the street outside her house. Aaron typically took her a block or so away to Oddle Park but today it didn't matter to her where she went.

Jamison sat down beside Zeyla and looked around.

"I know, it all seems so surreal but well...here we are." The sight of all these gathered people drove home a thought that Jamison had often avoided. This City is changing. He laughed to himself thinking 'changing' to be a bit of an understatement. After the Meteor hit, people came face to face with such irreversible catastrophe but instead of uniting in a common struggle they simply tried to cover it up and move along as though nothing happened. It bothered Jamison greatly how many people lived homeless on the street, ignored. He hoped his shop might succeed in order to gain enough money to start a city-wide project to repair slums and bring up the cities bottom-line. Shaking his head, he felt foolish for ever thinking so. Suddenly realizing he probably seemed like he was ignoring Zeyla, he snapped out of his reverie.

"Supposedly, Old Farley said it talked...Aggh!" Jamison shook his head about and shuffled his hair around in a contained frenzy "This is so bizarre. Stuff like this is only supposed to happen in movies." Jamison's stomach gave a rumble and he laughed. "Then again I get pretty stressed when I'm hungry" He said with an embarassed smile "Maybe I just need some chow."

Ember sighed as the pen in her hand hit the table. She leaned back a little, shaking her head. She took up the paper and crumpled it into a ball, throwing it aside. No words came from her lips, but her body language said it all. She had given up. No new words came to her head, and no new emotions filled her. She needed inspiration if her career was going to kick off. She needed it badly. She sighed again and stood. The chair legs scraping on the smoothe tile made a screeching sound, but no one around seemed to notice. No one ever noticed her...but that's how she liked it. She looked out the window, her sapphire eyes glimmering with an inner fire. A fire no one ever had the chance to see. The bell sounded as she opened the door to the coffee house, heading out onto the city streets.

"Hell yes!" Alaina grinned at Leslie. She opened the door to the stairs, glancing back at them. "Hurry up and get your skates back on Carlos!" she said, her hands waved in a frenzied motion. She was pretty impatient most of the time. "I'll be outside!" she called as she jumped swiftly, grinding down the metal railing and pushing the door open at the bottom. Thoughts of payback were fresh in her head, oh how she would enjoy this.

Aaron set upon his face a smile, the poodle had allowed herself to be leashed, which made him definitely feel at ease. Now the easy part of the job came, walking around the park and just greeting people here and there as he let the dog promote himself. He never let people in on the fact that he was a dog walker, to everyone else it would seem like he was a prominently successful man who owned a purebred poodle. Something not very common among these parts anymore, which let him feel a bit more honorable as he strode his way into the park.

Whenever someone came by him, mainly girls who wanted to greet the dog, he would either give them a smile and try to chat with them for a bit, talking about how he runs this really great business and that he was just out walking his dog. It was quite easily to lie to them, and try to score some of their phone numbers, but it did not go according to plan. Apparently a poodle was not a manly man's dog, and so most of the girls who actually cared to chat with him thought he was a little he played 'tennis' with the other team. After a few comments and rejections, he brimmed them all a smile and walked off with puffin.

As usual there were businessmen in the park, walking around trading stories about their cooperation, to Aaron this meant it was his time to shine. He, fluffed up his shirt collar, tightened his tie, and made sure his hair was evened out. With dog leash in one hand, and a business card in the other hand, which unbeknown to him still stated the date he first made them 10 years ago, he approached them. Just before eh arrived, he could already hear them talking about worm people... He could not really hear them too well, and perhaps misunderstood them. If they were talking about something as weird as that he would definitely tag an ears way length away from them listening in. If he misunderstood he would merely approach them with a smile as he always did, and try to get them to accept his card, and perhaps maybe clinch himself onto a better job. It had not happen for 10 years, but one day it might, one day.

She laughed at the sound of Jamison's stomach rumbling. "Do you think we could wait till after we see this 'worm person' till we get something to eat? I can't stand the suspense!" Just then 'Look they're showing it' Zeyla stood up and tried to peer over the top of the taller people in front of her. She continuously hopped up and down just to get a glance of what was up there, nothing, she shouldn't see one god damn thing. She looked over at Jamison who was standing perfectly fine, towering over the people in front. She huffed loudly in hopes that Jamison would notice her struggling to see. A voice came from over head but the echo made it hard to tell what it was saying.

~.Forever Enchanted.~
The bell sounded as she opened the door to the coffee house, heading out onto the city streets.

Main Street. If there ever was a great place to put a homey coffee shop, it was here. Thousands traveled this street daily and signs hung at every free space advertising different ventures. It was mid-afternoon and crowds were common at this time but not crowds gathered around in a massive circle. This is the sight that greeted Ember once she exited the shop, People surrounding a makeshift pedestal in the middle where an old man stood by a manhole cover addressing the people with a Megaphone. Spilling out into the roadways, traffic had been barricaded reluctantly by the Police who despite themselves became entranced in this strange phenomenon. An exiting buzz came as the crowd murmured and swayed. Lucky ones gathered inside buildings nearby in which they worked and camped in front of open windows with binoculars. It would be difficult for Ember to ignore this spectacle.

Carlos and Leslie soon burst through the front door and the three were off, skating towards Main Street. Following their typical runs they had made through days spent on the street, they cut a stylish path. Carlos attempted the extreme stunts, Leslie the more restrained. Finally, they arrived. Everyone from City Rush was there. Ry was the first to notice and grabbed the others attention as he rode up to meet them. Carlos and Leslie mingled with the others, completely forgetting about Alaina's mission of revenge but Alaina was called out by Ry. He had to raise his voice a little, an old man with a megaphone was speaking something incoherent at their distance.

"Hey there" He said with a smile "It's hard to hear from here, want to get closer?" Eyeing Alaina's absent-minded distraction, he gauged something else must be on her mind at the moment. "What are you looking for? What's up?"

Aaron's ears were not dull. A man with broad shoulders was listening intently as another, shorter man was babbling on about a ruffian who had spotted one of the alleged 'worm-people'. The two were incredulous that enough attention had been drummed up and that that very afternoon, a gathering was being planned on Main Street.

Puffin was pulled from her thoughts as she was beginning to stray from their typical path. Aaron was leading her as though following the two people. A little ruffled, she changed her course willingly. An intriguing scent caught her nose and she lowered her head. As though drawn with a bright brush on a dark canvass, the scent curved and flowed all the way outside the park and into the alleyway. It was such a strange scent, she thought. It smelled so...alien. Walks throughout the city had acquainted her nose to most smells but this was different. Caught up in the mystery, she suddenly burst forward following the scent. Her leash flew out of Aaron's unprepared hands and she dashed underneath a bench where two attractive girls sat talking. Dodging a jogging couple, she pursued the smell. Squeezing through the wide rimmed gate that separated the park from the sidewalk of the nearby street she stopped and turned around. She barked shrilly, as most Poodles do, drawing the attention of others around her. She would bark for a while and see if Aaron would follow, otherwise she would abandon him and search for the source herself.

Thoughts of filling his empty stomach were pushed aside as Jamison noticed the crowd began to stir more exitedly. It looked as though Old Farley was using a Megaphone to speak. Jamison smiled as Farley was clearly enjoying his time in the spotlight. A loud huffing grabbed his attention and he turned to Zeyla. He shrugged and met her eyes with look as if to say "Sorry, there's really nothing going on yet anyway." Realization struck him and he felt foolish.

"Want to move somewhere better? These aren't exactly prime seats." He asked looking around for potential roosts or vantage points. If they were going to move, however, they would have to push their way through the crowds.

Like all good dog walkers, they would chase after the escaped mutt no matter what, and Aaron was no different. It was a good thing the man had great endurance from walking and jogging every day or he would probably have had a hard time trying to keep up with the dog, but surely enough he would attempt to capture the loose dog.

Although the conversation had greatly intrigued him, he could no longer stay, his feet unleashed on the ground just as the dog unleashed from his hands, and he took straight off in the direction Puffin ran. His legs were blurs as he darted across grass and gravel till he came to two very attractive girls. If he had noticed them earlier, he would of surely walked by them with Puffin and hit on them, actually he was almost doing that now. His feet came close to almost hitting and clobbering one of the ladies as he put his foot flat on the empty side of the bench and lofted himself over it, perhaps his daring rescue might pay some respect to the ladies later, but he had no time to think, more obstacles!

It seemed the dog had caused a jogging couple to give a few looks at where the dog had run, and were not paying to great attention to what was before them. Thus Aaron had to sway his body to the side in order to get out of the way. He was probably lucky this time due to the adrenaline factor, had he ran into them though, he would merely say sorry, and continue down his path regardless.

"That's great!" Aaron shouted as he came to the final hurdle of the trek, a wide rimmed gate that stretched from side to side. There was no luck of him trying to squeeze through it like the dog, so he had to do the only thing he could think of doing, going over.

With already a great running start, he lurched himself as high as he could. If he could not clear the fence, he would place his foot first onto the bar, his two hands on top, and try to propel himself over with the momentum. Of course doing it that way, he was not guaranteed a proper landing, so he hoped with every ounce of his body that he was light enough and fast enough to clear the landing.

Either way, once over, and however long it would take him to recover depending on if he took a spill or not, he would look to where the dog had ran off.

"Huh?" Alaina said as she snapped back from her thoughts and looked to Ryan. She smirked, "Total payback," she said mischeviously, "That hippie b***h is here, we saw her on the television back home. But the Idiots totally forgot about our plans," she said a bit annoyed, crossing her arms and pouting her lips. She looked all around, but she wasn't in view, plus there was a growing crowd. "Alright let's go up to the front," she said and grabbed his hand before skating straight into the crowd. Pushing and elbowing through the crowd, they were nearing the front.

Ember stopped at the sudden burst of noise the door had blocked out. She looked around with confusion and took a few steps forward. "What's going on?" She asked, to no one in particular. She put her guitar down next to her, but kept it close. The megaphone blurred the words, making them echo and a little hard to understand, but she heard. What was it about, though? What was going on? To stop traffic like this it had to be big. She reached down to take up her guitar and took a few steps closer, now joining the crowd. She pushed her way forward through the rucus of people's frantic and random conversations until she reached the front of the mob. She then looked foward, watching the commotion.
