I noticed it when I realized that they looked alike; I thought they were twins, but then I found out they were original and replica; and I was 'Oh... it... makes sense now I guess...' But I liked this theory this person had on Fanfiction.net. Lemme find it so I can quote it... AHA! Found it... okay, conversation. “I think, she is possible due to the fact that modern fomicry, the kind you studied Jade, was standardized to create clone-like beings, where Lorelei simply created another being with the same fonon signature, her appearance and other factors were beyond his control, I don’t believe he intended to create a replica of himself, but the increase of the seventh fonim in the fon belt resulted in the discovery of Lorelei’s existence.”
Jade didn’t respond at first, seemingly turning the information over in his mind, deciding if he would accept Ion’s theory or not. Guy appeared a bit bemused as well, but the information he was trying to process was having a much harder time.
“So essentially...” Jade paused, what was he trying to say exactly? He wasn’t sure if the theories in his mind made sense, compared with this new sentience, had his research been try when he documented the obvious need for Lorelei and Asch to rescue Luke, for perhaps another reason then necessity? “Fomicry then, is just the process of creating an identical fonon signature? The identical appearance wasn’t fundamentally required?”from Fon Slot Curse by Kisho Myst

Wow, I DO like that explanation!
It.... seems to make more sense. It really does.
Because, their fonon frequencies are the same, but, that doesn't necesarrily mean that frequencies control appearances... I mean, it must, looking at all the replicas, but... s**t.
I just confused myself. D; //runs away//

I just think that was a result of replicas intended to be 'replacements' instead of their own people.

>| <-- Asch's one facial expression, hence why he looks more mature.
And don't let Luke hear that joke, he has enough inferiority complexes. xD

Eh, Asch has been through alot more in his life, and he has more experience. That's why I think he's so mature, anyway.

Well Luke did come into this world like a baby. Remember that replicas are born into the world like Babies, they have to learn to walk and do everything over again.
So I'm guessing that he used his left hand more often.

On the topic of the original and replica not looking alike and on the topic of fanfic comparisons, I always supported that one that stated that the difference of physical appearance between the two was attributed to their lifestyle and location.
Asch was a tad paler than Luke since he trained underground, probably, in the Oracle Knights HQ. The fact also implies the same for the dark hue of his hair. Luke, on the other hand, trained with Van in the "square" of the Fabre Manor. Thus, his slightly tanner complexion and "bleached" hair.
Now, if I could only locate that fic and give it full credit...
