I can't give you a specific date, I can't even tell you what year harry is in school, Dea would know all of that, but i can tell you that it takes place when he is still in school seeing has how there are a few members that have claimed certain hp characters as their significant others. (like Star black and her sister are dating fred and george, and some one commented once about dating hermione)

((hmmm that throws a wrench in my chars plans,......... So the question is, do I make myself a 7th year, since i'm technically almost 2 years older than harry, or do I make my self just an honorary student teacher blaugh ))

my sister and I conversed about this last night, and decided that based on my history I could do one of 2 things:
A) be an 18yrold 7th year (or at least i'll turn 18 on october 13th). This would occur because durring Harry's 5th year when Umbridge was headmaster, She forced me to be sorted or get out!, so I would have techinically been sorted to be a 7thyr, but we can adjust that slightly since it's a year later.
or
B) be an 18yo 2nd year. Lol this would be because apon being sorted last year, and umbridge being the witch that she is, i would have been forced to start out as a 1st year, since i had just been sorted, which, this being a year later, would make me a second year. lol that could be interesting, though it would definately start a lot of teasing and fights with the snobby slytherin.
or
I know i only said 2 but....
C) we could pretend that Dumbledore graduated me on time, since i knew everything and could pass all the tests, and I could be an honorary student teacher person (but that might take away some of the student fun)

no matter what, one change must be made, I am almost 18, so no matter what year i post, I must change that on my profile

well, I came up with my background:

Fully expanded history:

Father: Sirius Black was born in 1958 to Orion and Walbura Black, he has one younger brother named Regulus Black. He was a gryffindor at Hogwarts school of Magic from 1970 until 1977. He ran away at the age of 16 and lived with James potter and his family, who's parents considered him a second son, until the time that he graduated from Hogwarts in June of 1977. He was killed by Bellatrix Black in the Death Room at the Ministry of Magic.

Mother: Jadelyn Black, born Jadelyn Potter on November 11th 1957. Despite the fact that she was 9 months younger than her older brother James Potter, she started school with him in 1970, and was sorted into Ravenclaw by the sorting hat. She began to date Sirius Black in her fifth year, in december of 1974. She was head girl and prefect while she was at hogwarts, and Graduated top of her year in 1977. On August 16th 1977 she secretly married Sirius Black in a small room at the Potters family home. The only people who attended this wedding were Jade and Sirius, James Potter, Lily Evans, and Remus Lupin, as well as a muggle priest, who was clueless to what was going on. She died May 7th 1981 at the hands of Voldemort himself.

On October 13th 1978 Sirius and Jade gave birth to their first and only child, Raina Tadaka Black, at one o'clock in the afternoon in a private room where only Jade and Lily were present. Three months after the birth of Raina, Jade began to resume her work fighting Voldemort, and so she secretly Apparated to the small country town of Belfast, Ireland each morning to leave her daughter at the house of a kindly old muggle lady whom regularly watched the towns children. She would then apparate back to London to continue her work, and pick her daughter up in the afternoon.

On May 7th 1981, Jade Apparated outside of Belfast, and picked her daughter up from Madam Justine's house. She then stopped for a drink at a small outdoor cafe to wait for Sirius, who was going to join them for lunch. Sirius Apparated outside of the small town and was walking into town when he saw his wife, Jade, sitting at a small table, their 19month old daughter clinging to her leg and pointing behind Jade. He watched in aw as Lord Voldemort apparated directly behind Jade. Jade saw him as he Apparated because of her daughters pointing, and she knew what he was there to do, but instead of protect herself from the cursed spell that she knew was coming, she instead casts a Locomotor spell on Raina and sends her daughter flying through the air towards Sirius. At the same time Sirius was running as quickly as he could towards his wife to aid her against the dark lord. As she casts her spell on Raina, Voldemort casts his spell on Jade, and moments later the last speck of life drains from her body, causing the spell that she had last cast to fail, and Raina to begin to fall towards the ground. Luckily Sirius was close enough to catch her before she reaches the pebbled road. Saddly though, he was not able to help his wife, and as soon as the Avada spell had been cast, Voldemort disapparated, leaving Sirius to greive by his wife's body, with his daughter in hand. Moments later he Apparates both him and his daughter as well as his wifes body back to London. The following morning a private funeral was held in honor of Jadelyn Potter-Black.

Later that year when the Potters decide to go into hiding with their son Harry, who was born July 31st 1980, Sirius requests that they take their goddaughter, Raina, with them, so that he knows she will be safe.
On October 31st 1981, 18days after Raina's 3rd birthday, Voldemort enters the home that the potters and Raina had been magically hiding in. It is assumed that voldemort was unaware that the Black child was hiding there as well, and it is unknown if he noticed her presence when he attacked the Potters. What is known is that Lord Voldemort successfully killed James and Lily Potter, but apon entering the nursery and attempting to Kill Harry, he vanished, leaving harry with a scare, and Raina with yet more horrid memories.

When Hagrid arrives to gather Harry and take him to dumbledore, He finds Raina Silently sitting by harry, her eyes big and wide blue spheres. Unsure what to do, he picks her up too to take to Dumbledore. When he runs into Sirius outside, Sirius asks for both of the children by name. Hagrid refuses to give him Harry, but hands him Raina with out thinking. Sirius hugs her happily and kisses her on the forehead, then hands her back to Hagrid and asks him to give her to Dumbledore for safe keeping. He then loans Hagrid his motorcylcle and walks away, determined to seek revenge for his friends and family.

Since James and Lily were now dead, and Raina was not an approved member of the Black Family, There was no place for her to live, So Dumbledore did the only thing he could think of to keep her safe, he took her back to Hogwarts with him, once he'd delivered Harry to his aunt and Uncles' house. It is unsure if Dumbledore anticipated Sirius' actions and imprisonment, but he kept Raina at Hogwarts, Raising her with the help of some of the other staff members.

For 8 years Raina secretly wandered the halls of hogwarts, sitting in on classes, and learning spells and potions and reading books from every corner of the library. Apon occasion Dumbledore or Hagrid would take her outside the grounds of Hogwarts, usually to visit her Godfather Remus Lupin and his daughter Star Black, though some times to go to gringots to acquire some gold from her vault for shopping purposes. Or Hagrid would take him with her on a trip to see some new magical creature, LIke the time when she was 7 and he took her to see a newborn Swedish short snout dragon.

The summer before her 11th birthday, she was approached by Minerva about being sorted with the rest of the first years when the new school year began. Raina promptly refused to be sorted. Later on, she was approached by Dumbledore himself about being sorted, and she informed him that she could not in good concience be sorted, with her family history, because she wouldn't be able to live if she was chosen to be a Slytherin. Dumbledore understood and allowed her to sutdy and train in secret, each year passing her on to the next year. He also allowed her to play quiditch, but because she refused to be sorted, she couldn't play for any one house, so she was allowed to play as an emregency extra, should any of the houses be short a player for an upcomming match, the first house captain to request her as their replacement player, acquired her talents for that game.

When her father was released from Azkaban, she was able to see him sparingly, and was even able to spend the summer before what would have been her 7th year with him, and harry and lupin and star, and the weasleys.

Apon entering her 7th year she was unpleasantly shocked to find that Umbridge was their new headmaster, and she was informed that if she didn't get sorted she couldn't remain at hogwarts, So she was finally forced to be sorted and was pleased to find herself in Ravenclaw. But due to the fact that she had not been attending proper classes Umbridge demanded that she start over as a first year student. So at the Age of 16 (soon to be 17) Raina began her first year at Hogwarts School of Witch craft and Wizardry. Now with Dumbledore back in power, it is unsure if Raina will be going into her second year of schooling or finishing up her 7th year.

I came to a conclusion on my way home from work tonight, and i decided that if it's all the same with Headmistress Dea, i, Raina Tadaka Black, will no longer be a student at Dea and Olly's Hogwarts School of Witch Craft and Wizardry.
