The wolf boy was not angry, just wary. He did seem to relax, though, at Kemuri's words. His hands dropped back to his sides, and his tail slowly started to resume its normal volume. Rand still seemed nervous, though.
"Rand," he answered, simply. Then he looked up sharply, startled when the man asked about a dream. "Yeah! I did! It looked just like this, eveything destroyed...and for some reason I felt like I ought to do something about it. I've been having it over and over..."
The boy beckoned for Kemuri to come closer and join them, so he didn't have to shout to be hear. "You, too?"

Shayna noticed the group of boys, and Kemuri standing somewhat of a distance away from them. Walking over, she started to hear them talking of this place.
"It's called the sanctum."
She spoke softly as she got closer, as to not frighten them.
"This place is a haven for us Heralds. I don't know much about it, only that we can reach it using our stones, and that it's nothing like Gaia. I was here once before, with another Herald, Taka, when we were young. I'd advise all of us to be very wary of the weather."
Shayna flinched a bit as she thought back to the storm the two girls had been caught in so long ago.

Kemuri stepped closer to the young boy. "yea. i had that same dream!" He said excited and a bit sadish that the land in his dream was a rundown wasteland. But he could see that this place wasn't that run down as in his dream. He wondered about things. "where do you think this is?" Kemuri asked the boy named Rand.
Kemuri thought it was world caling back to the Heralds to tell them to save her. His imagination was going wild as he wonedered what was going on. "Are you trapped here too?" He asked Rand. He kneeled down to the boy's height.
Kemuri turned around to see a familiar face. "Hi Shay. hm.. The sanctum, huh?" He thought. 'that makes sense that only us Heralds know about this place and have been having these dreams.' His imagination died down with all this global warming and nature hating humans and keeping Heralds safe there while the world explodes and stuff.

Shayna nodded to Kemuri.
"Our stones are the portals in, and out, of this world. Altough it's a little exaughsting to use them too much."
Suddenly realising how weird this situation was, Shanyna spoke up again.
"I wonder what dragged us all here tonight. It's kinda weird that all of us would come here on the same night..."

Lind looked around at his surroundings. None of it was familiar, but....familiar people were there. With a nod to himself, he quickly walked over to the group of people, glancing over his shoulder every so often. Something about this place made him nervous.

Before Rand had a chance to answer any of Kemuri's questions, another adult came walking up to them. "You were here before? Do you know how to get out?" he asked quickly. He had a nagging feeling that he couldn't leave, not just yet...but it would do a lot to calm the doubt in him if he knew how to get home when he had to.
He noticed Lind, not too far away, and waved to him, jumping up and down to be seen over Shayna and Kemuri. "Lind! Over here!"
He looked around at this sancti...sanctum place. "It's so quiet here. I wonder if anybody used to live here?'

Shayna smiled to the boy.
"I do, but..... I dunno.... I feel like there is something here that I need to do, or find."
Shayna looked over to the boy who was joining the group. She recognized the boy and gave him a small wave. With this, she realized how quiet it was.
"Hmm... I wonder where all the animals went."

Yay! Rand! Upon seeing his familiar face, he picked up his pace, worming his way through the people that had gathered. "What's goin' on?" he asked in a more quiet tone of voice than he usually used. The stillness of the place seemed to be unnerving him slightly, and could be seen in the way he kept on glancing around as if he expected something to jump out at them suddenly.
He returned Shayna's wave, and looked around the group for the first time to see who else was here.

He saw Rand wave towards another little boy who he recognized as Lind. Kemuri smiled as he saw the little boy who he met a long time ago. The failier bright red childlike eyes made him smile. "Hi Lind. It's been a long time." He said softly to the young one.
"animals? there weree animals here?" He said as he looked over to her. "Where'd they go?" he said less loud. He wondered where all life went. well, besides them Heralds and stuff. Shay didn't seem like her usual happy style like when they got ice cream at the mall when the storms were going on in the 'real world'. He wondered.

"Mmmh. There used to be beautiful birds, and foxes and all sorts of life around here. I don't know what happened. It's changed here. I can feel it."
Shayna's eyes fell, and she wrapped her arms around herself.
"It's a little unnerving. Something is just.... out of place, you know?"

Kemuri imagined little creatures roaming about. "yea, it feels like it's cold without animals." He said as he dipped his head down as he looked on the floor. He looked back up at her, she looked so sad. "yea, this lifeless world. feels out of place..." He added thoughtlessly. He looked on the ground, not a single ant or spider to be seen.

Shayna's eyes became a little heavy as she stood there. She was starting to feel a little tired. She sighed and found herself a spot of grass to sit down, smoothing out the awkward wrinkles in her silk nightgown as she did so. She pushed her bangs to he side, setting the strays in her face back into place. Grabbing her long ponytail, she drapped her hair over her nearly bare shoulder, and played with the ends of her hair.
"This place just doesn't make me feel like it did the first time I was here.... Well... That is before the storm hit me and Taka."
She let a weak laugh and smirk out.

Kemuri! And Lind too!
Nikolai had nearly hid behind Rand when the woman with flaming wings appeared, but with her apparant friendship with Kemuri came into light he was a little less wary.
Whining quietly, the young boy looked up to her sadly. She knew what this place was like... maybe she knew about the horrid dreams better than the rest of them? Stepping nearer to her, the boy tugged lightly on the sleeve of her robe and held up his arms. He wanted to be picked up.
Maybe it was because she was a girl, maybe it was because she was an adult, but since he didn't have Jade to look after him, the boy wanted someone to ease his anxiety a little.

Looking to the small boy, Shayna smiled. She placed her hands in the nooks of each armpit, and lifted him neatly into her arms. She hugged the boy lighly, not saying a word to him, just smiling. She didn't know if it was just that natural motherly instinct or not, but it felt like the right thing to do.

He still wondered if this was mother Earth's revenge on them Heralds as well as the humans who inhabited the earth, creating pollution and so forth. He left his thoughts behind as he snapped back to reality. He smiled as he had just noticed Shay was in her nightgown. He was in regular pants and a plain t-shirt Lily's dad hadn't worn. He felt embaressed to see her in her 'intimates'. He blushed a bit, looking away.
He sat down next to her with his legs crossed. Kemuri smiled as the little boy who was once shy took a liking to Shay. He wondered if Nikolai still remembered him from before. He raised his hand and waved softly with a sweet smile to the little boy, trying to catch his eye. Maybe if there wa someone here, this Sanctum wouldn't be so bad.
