Mae govannen! I just joined as well... I was sent an invite. Er, a bit about myself... My name is Haldir... yes, in real life, too. I wasn't born with the name though. I am 16 years of age. I live in Mississauga, Ontario. I was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. I am an extreme Tolkienite. I am 5'2.5" My favourite music is Celtic. Love fantasy books and movies. Avid Reader. I read "The Hobbit" at age 7 and was hooked. In addition to LOTR, some of my favorite series are Song of Ice and Fire (George R. R. Martin), anything by Robin Hobb, the first six books of the Wheel of Time (long story), and many others.
I've also, on and off, (mostly off) for the past 15 years have been writing fantasy stories and ideas, and of course, "The Great Fantasy Novel". I've got about 200 pages with that, and still a long way to go. At this rate, I'll finish when i'm 70. wink
When I find the time I'm a gamer. I go back old school, to the original pencil and paper D and D, and still love to play that. In addition, I like World of Warcraft and anything to do with D and D.

Well....about me.
I am never telling my age but I can tell you I am probally younger than you.I love reading...fantasy.I like writing bad books...fantasy.My dad just introduced me to D&D.I used to play WoW,I am sad I quit but as soon as I quit they came out with the expansion...I hate them.I got a free 10 day trial for it but still I have no WoW.If you have never read a Tamora Pierce book I will gasp at you untill you run to a library/bookstore and check out/buy one.Wow this is longer than I thought it would be.For more about moi(the wonderful lol jk)send me a pm.
Also right now I am gasp at my own sis(I have 3).My own blood wont even read a page...I have to read them to her...its funny.

Um...hi...I guess I should introduce myself.
I'm PromisedSword, which I've been using all over the net. I'm Evangline-Angel on Fanfiction.net, though, -I haven't had the heart to change it yet, though- and ~(TheBlackDove)~ on many small forums. (The big ones intimidate me...)
I'm sixteen, going to be a senior in high school this August, and really don't care what collage I go to as long as I can write. I love music, especially bands like Nightwish, Within Temptation, The Cruxshadows, and artists like Loreena Mckennitt and Enya. I love movies, especially those in the vein of (you guessed it!) Lord of the Rings, and my all-time favorite, The Last Samurai. (AKA: Give me epic sword battles and rousing speeches now, plz!) I love all types of fantasy, but have found a special love in the works of Guy Gavriel Kay and J.R.R. Tolkien. I love to write, and want to make a career of it. I love to read almost as much.
Um...I was pretty much raised on fantasy, science fiction, and other such geekery. My parent's home library is filled almost exclusively with books in those genres. One of my oldest memories from when I was little was watching the Ariel TV show while my parents and a friend of their's played D&D together. I played my first character (A human mage) when I was eight.
I read The Lord of the Rings when I was eleven, in preparation for the movies. I finished the trilogy after two months of nearly nonstop page-turning. Two years later, I read Tigana, which is the only book out of countless many to beat LotR in my favorites list. I re-read LotR once a year at the beginning of school as a good-luck charm.
I conduct a D&D game every week or so as DM with my friends and my little sister, who seems to follow in the family tradition. My home houses a small armory, consisting of my parent's long-sword, my sister's dagger and sword set, and my katana and wakizashi. I'm currently writing a fantasy series for fun about the exploits of a series of four characters me, my sister, and my two of my friends designed.
I watch fantasy, I write fantasy, I live fantasy.
((And now that you've all labeled me a total geek with no life, I'll quietly slink away to the corner of shame... >>; ))

Uzbudljive, I was sent an invitation. Two invitations in one day! Wow! Okay, the other one's for a birthday party. Whatever. xD
Because many wonder, my name's pronounced "Uh-Vall-Sid-All". It's Ladislava backwards. You can all call me Av or Aval if you want.
Anyway, I do love fantasy and sci fi. A lot. So when I saw the invitation to this place, I snatched it. You wouldn't believe how happy I was to see "rap excluded" on the main page. =) The music I prefer is soft rock, country, Celtic, and techno. My current favorite band is Frou Frou. I've been playing piano for five years and cello for two. My orchestra director is possibly the best, most patient, intelligent person in the world to me, but I get the feeling she wants to get rid of me. xD Woe is me.
Reading and writing are my passions. My favorite author is Ursula LeGuin, who's "The Wizard of Earthsea" caught me up in a reading frenzy. Clocks and mirrors fascinate me. I've no clue why, but I'm obsessed with them. I like different languages, such as German and Croatian.
I'm staff on some forums and administrator of my own. I know some CSS and am planning to learn HTML bit by bit. Ijokinglyown one person's soul.

Hello... I'm Haliya... you can call me Haliya, Hal, H... or whatever is comfy for ya.
Ok a little (lot.. XD) about me.... I'm married... 22... but I look 15... short... with a shorter fuse... dominantly right brained. I am a Jack (Jaqueline?) of all trades master of none.. I go anywhere whichway whenever wherever... Since I never was the kind who could be casted into a stereotype, I simply drift wherever I feel like it without society's walls keeping me in line.
I've always been fascinated with Fantasy, Modern Fantasy, Sci Fi and History in general... much of my inspiration for art can be found therein.... as for how deep my roots go.. I've been into most of it since I was 4.. so yeah.. long time. XD
I listen to all sorts of music though I guess my favorites are rock, trip hop, and ambient. I'm very water oriented. If you want to know what things I like to read, other genres and tidbits they're in my profile.

Okay, it seems to be my turn now...
First some general facts:

Location: Schwedt, Brandenburg, Germany (in its east, near the frontier of Poland)Height: 1,72 m
It' since my early childhood that I had and still have a strong affectation for fairies, legends, fairy-tales, mediaeval times etc. But books like LotR, Harry Potter and films like Fantaghirò and The Mists of Avalon made me even more interested in fantasy in general, history and cultures that were related to it. I have to admit that I'm also strongly interested the darker things of fantasy and history (i.e. vampires, werewolves, dragons and the Dark Ages). Well, don't be scared, I'm quite friendly anyhow blaugh
It's been about a year now, since I paused my writing and drawing due to demotivation and graduating, but my muse seems to be back now, so let's see wink
When it comes to music, I prefer rock (Alternative and Gothic), Irish folk, several soundtracks (like The Crow, Underworld, Queen of the Damned, LotR, HP, Final Fantasy series), mediaeval music and bands whose music was influenced by the mediaeval times biggrin
I also love to photograph and manipulate them a little (but I have to admit, that I'm not really good at the latter).
Another thing I love, is reading. Mostly fantasy, horror and about cultures (often legends and how those people lived) but sometimes also books based on history and mangas... lots of mangas 3nodding
And one more thing: I'm not really into role-playing games or playing games (PC or paddle) in general... Although I love to watch my brother/friends playing them sometimes and giving unwanted advices whee

Hiya! I’m Hannah. My favorite color is orange. I’m from California and currently take up residents in North Carolina. My interests include, reading (fantasy, duh.), Nintendo (Oh this one is a biggie! if you even want to talk about the Big N I’m your girl.), drawing, anime and manga, The History Channel, National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel, and Comedy Central. (Are last six realy interests?) Any who, I love to role play, at least semi-lit. (Seeing leet in role plays makes me want to bang my head on the wall.) Uh, also I’m a big fan of the good ol’ RPG. Mostly on the DS. (Since the only one worth mentioning of on the Wii so far is Zelda: Twilight Princess.) I’m considered a geek in school but I bare the title proudly! Speaking of school…school is just another word for prison. The only thing that is good about it is the friends, art class, and social studies. Homework is my kryptonite. On to books! My favorite authors are T. A. Barron and Clive Barker. I’m addicted to Clive Barker’s Abarat series. You should go out and read them. I adore T. A. Barron for his Great Tree of Avalon books. These are also magnificent. You should really read them.
