What I don't get though is if he's the leader, why would he act as though Zetsu and Deidara were his superiors?

I suppose that he had to remain constant with some level of secrecy or something. Perhaps if the organization knew there was one person acting directly under the leader, it would promote dissension among the ranks?

It has been proven in the latest chapter that indeed Naruto Uzumaki's father is to be Yondaime Hokage's son. Yondaime's name has been revealed to be Namikaze Mintao who had Naruto with a woman named Kushina Uzumaki.

and just to sound like i know something. xp
Naruto looks like his dad but personality and ninjutsu style is like his mom. hmmm. now i want to see what the mom looks like.
EDIT: heres a question for you all to discuss. how many of you think they may do something like kakashi gaiden for minato and kushina. i hope they do.
oh. and what if naruto still have family out there somewhere. like some grandparents or maybe a brother, sister or cousin. hmmm? so many questions

All we can assume is that his mother is still alive, we do not know if he has any other relatives to assume that he has any.
They may do something for Minato and Kushina, but very unlikely. It would be a while before they would anyways.

I know they never would, but it would be cool if they did an Akatsuki one too.
I mean we don't know anything of anyone's past other than Itachi's and a tiny bit of Deidara's and Kisame's. And maybe a microscopic bit of Kakuzu.
Oh well, I can dream.

theres rumors going around that the guy in akatsuki. pein or whatever could be related to naruto. because of the small resemblance between the two.
Note this is just a rumor i have heard and wanted to share to you guys. please dont start yelling at me.

He could be, but I highly doubt it.
You have to remember that some manga artists use the same basic character design for other characters as well.

she's from the former whirlpool country. which i'm thinking if it's former that means it's not there no more and it could now be rain. yall see my logic. I just don't have the information to look into it. and the mom has red hair so unless she had.....relations with another yellow headed man its either narutos brother from both parents or not.
Maybe Kushina kept pein and Minato kept naruto confused

people, i'm sorry but i just think he's naruto brother now. after that shot from the back of his head. i mean if it wasn't for the piercings then it looks just like naruto. even my dad saw me reading the manga and asked when did naruto get piercings. and don't get me wrong not just from the back of the head. the face shot too. they're just to similar. and i understand the artist drawing people the same way but come on. thats like drawing itachi and sasuke and saying they're not freakin brothers. it's just no way you can play that off.

The blue haired member of Akatsuki has been given a name, and her name, is Konan. This greatly disperses the theory of her being Naruto's mother, but this could also be a code name. She seems to have the ability to turn her body into folded paper and then into paper butterflies for scouting purposes.
Seems like an origami jutsu to me.
Also, Jiraiya has captured two of Pein's subordinates, indicated by their talk of Pein and the slash through their headband insignia. This indicates they are rebels against the government of Rain village.
