He took a moment himself before responding, pondering long and hard on the answer he should give the foal. He turned his head slowly, letting his pale eyes meet the foal's. "You can't base your entire life off of one event. It can mold your begining and it can shape who you are... But it needn't become who you are. It can't rain all the time."

Silver colored eyes met Draven's and he was once more quiet for a long moment, as if contemplating. What could he risk? Well, he didn't have much that the other stallion would want, he was sure. Logically..."Fine. I'll do you the honor of bein' your friend. But you gotta get me breakfast." That was the bargain. He was letting the other one be his friend, he'd better get something out of it.

He laughed as he turned away from the foal, turning in the direction of the water he said he would lead him to. "I will get you breakfast if you agree to sticking around for a bit. I wouldn't be all that great of a friend if I let you wander off alone, afterall."

Altair trotted after Draven, still uncertain but wanting food, "Fine, fine. If you love me that much I guess I gotta stick around. Can't disappoint my fans, ya know." His tail flickered again and a half smile touched his lips, though he made sure that Draven couldn't see it. Was kind of nice having a friend. Even if he wouldn't admit it.
