Xyloid I think that anyone, regardless of gender, shouldn't hit someone.
I could care less if 'she hit me first' or whatever. That is childish and immature to hit someone back just because they hit you first.
Don't Close your eyes... I agree.
I mean, I can think of many ways to resolve a fight with out the childish action of hitting back then running around and using the excuse 'Well he/she hit me first!'
It reminds me of my parents, they can easily solve most of their fights by just talking calmly to one another, instead they fight, making a silly argument worse! rolleyes God knows what lies behind them...

MARGAR3T I agree. Though some women may be stronger than men neither man or woman has a right to hit eachother. We weren't ment to fight and kill and such. We were ment to live the way we choose. Sometimes men do use women as there impresser to all there male friends but still, a women smaller then a man is defenseless and hopeless. My dad's friend beat his wife so much he broke her legg and arm. I totaly agree with you there. I think only playhitting and sport hiting are the only hitting resonable. I do hit people and not in sport or play, but hey, doesn't everyone once in a while? And I don't justify them. But I say the human race needs to get over all this senceless violence and grow up.

yogurtkiller180 I know a man...who at one point in his life had the following happen: His ex girlfreind walked in the room, and after a hard days work. he had been sick, and exhausted. Girl: get your lazy @$$ up you never do anything around here. Guy: I'm sick. Girl: why don't you do anything Guy: (stands up to clean) jeez Girl,and Guy: (Verbally assault each other for a while until the Girl begins to attack the guy, and hits him repeatedly across the chest and face) In his defense this honerable man waves his hands and accidentally hits this woman across the side of her head. he begins to cry and runs straight out his door. looking for a place to stay for the night..You see this man did not mean to hit the Girl. He thought this was entirely wrong in every way! This woman was horrible to him,and she got what was coming. Yes she had no pity. not from me any way. this is a true story...that honorable man is my step father. and I believe he's the greatest even if I don't show it sometimes yes i think that what your stepfather did was ok cuz he didnt mean to but in his sutuation i think i would have hit her once just to get her to stop assulting me and to get away just as long as it wasnt like excessive force using more force than needed like just a little slap thats i would do not that its right but to hit someone out of anger is wrong i dont think guys should hit gurls like every one says guys are bigger and stronger than gurls but its not fair for a gurl to go and hit a guy knowing that he cant hit you back but theres always self defense if you are in fear for your life then hit them save your life and you wont get in as much trouble either but only for self defense

Mmmm this one strikes a nerve. I got a couple of points here, so bear with me.
1:Regardless of age ,race, gender, or orientation, If some one assualts or attacks you, it is wrong. I have been taught to treat that as an attempt at my life and to respond as such. Therefore, it is a decloration of effing war. You didn't start the fight, but makes sure you effing finish it.
2:I was put through my own personal hell for 9 years, and developed a very accute temper because of it. To be honest, it scares me. To ever lay a hand on a loved one in anger, would be my worst fear come true.
3: If a relationship is so bad that it is coming to blows, EFFING END IT! Or at least get some damn counseling. Or heres an idea: take it to the ring. Take up boxing or something.
