Janja was quite pleased with Intombi's reaction to her necklace. She didn't think a great deal about it herself, for she was used to having it around now- though she had needed to get more vine for it as she got bigger. She wouldn't be able to do that now, unless she decided to make it a bracelet or something. Momentarily distracted by the idea, she glanced down at her paws. She was brought back to attention at the mention of eating bugs, and made a soft gagging sound.

"No, I wouldn't like to eat bugs eiteher," she agreed whole-heartedly, "Maybe as a last resort. I can see why it might be a convenient source of food for some, though. I think if bugs live in big groups, they're bound to make nests or dens of some kind. I don't remember anything this vast, though." Janja tried hard to recall something like this, but couldn't come up with anything comparable.

Intombi was sure she would sooner eat vegetation like a herd animal than eat a bug. The idea of it crawling around inside her mouth, or squiggling down her throat was enough to make her vomit. Of course, she didn't, but she did feel a bit queezy for a few moments. She stuck her tongue out slightly, as if it would help her stomach settle. "I'm not sure I could ever eat one... I'd ask a zebra what plant tastes good faster than eat one of those things." She shuddered a little, but she was feeling better. Thankfully, she highly doubted she'd ever be in the position that needed to result in eating something undesirable. Especially if she was going to be joining the pride sometime soon. Rogues might need to eat something they didn't particularly want to every once in a while, but the pride life meant more protection and assurance of a steady diet. The more lions that hunted, the higher the success rate, right?

"Didn't you say you were on a time limit?" The thought suddenly occured to Intombi that the reason they had gone to termite mounds as opposed to Pride Rock or something more grand was because Janja had been in a slight rush. Or at least, she didn't have enough time to make the hike to something more famous than the mounds.

"Desperate times call for desperate measures," Janja said smartly, smiling at Intombi's distaste for the idea of ever, ever consuming insects, "I don't suppose many would be poisonous to eat, though some look that way. A zebra might not trust a hungry looking lioness, but they're not easy to take down on your own so that plan might work." Janja winked at Intombi. It might not have been an entirely serious plot to avoid the bug-eating, but she was just joking around.

When Intombi reminded her of the time limit she had, Janja visibly flinched.

"Damn, I forgot," she cursed, looking off in the direction she'd come from and knew her family to be in. Then she looked off to the sky to try to determine how long she'd been away. This was her first full out trip away from the family, she'd probably been away long enough. "I guess I should head back, but this has been fun."

She giggled at the mention of the zebra, though she wasn't all that certain one would be frightened of her. At least in this stage of life. When she was a cub, she had happened upon a herd of herbivores, including the striped equines. Of course, they had all stampeded when a leopardess had shown up to pick up dinner for her own cub; but for a little time, Intombi had wandered amoungst the zebra part of the group, watching them as she went. They had been mildly edgey, but none of them had fleed at seeing her. They had simply moved away. She supposed, though, that an adult lioness was a bit more a threat than a cub. Although she doubted very much she'd ever be able to take down an adult zebra, even when she was a huntress for the pride. It just didn't seem possible, they were so big.

"I had fun, too. I don't usually come out here, so it was nice to see it again." She nodded happily, taking a sweeping glance of their surroundings. She supposed she should be leaving shortly, as well, to go home to her mother's den for possibley the last time. She hadn't been there in about a week, and it was really only curtousy that was sending her back to have a little good by chat with Mom and Roho. "Maybe I'll see you around sometime?" Even if Janja lived in the Jungle, she might be spending a bit longer here in the savannah, or might even be visiting again soon.

"Thank you so much for showing me, I'd be sad if I had found out I'd missed out on something like this," Janja said gratefully, not sure she would ever have found this if she hadn't been shown. She wasn't sure how long her family would stay here, or if her mother had even found the area as a youth herself. It was a wonderful choice they'd made!

"Maybe you will," she beamed, and offered a short bow of thanks, "Goodbye, Intomi! It was a pleasure to meet you." With that, Janja turned around and headed off for "home" at a jog. Hopefully she was not too missed.
