Relíque canted her head to the side ever-so-slightly. "Humans are creatures of habit and are creatures who show animosity to hate... and though they seem to be more accepting to things that are different from themselves now, I too stay clear of them in most cases. Like they've done to you, and I'm sure to many others of our race, they also turned on me...but remember," she paused and leaned forward in her seat and rested her arms on her knees, "that it's more honorable to forgive then it is to always live in hate, and that there are humans in this world who will help you. We're not always so alone as we think."
She leaned back in her seat again and "looked" to where the fireplace was. "However, there are many things humans have done to me that I will never be able to forgive them for." As she spoke, her voice and face continued to stay as calm and serine as before...but one knew that there was an underlying edge to that last sentence.

The fire flickered on in the fireplace. Whether it was from Mina or Relíque did not matter. They were still on the subject of humans. "For a long time I had suppressed the memory of Tristan leaving me for a human girl. When I found his location and was close, I chose not to see him. I have forgiven him for many things, but I for one will not be too pleasant when our paths cross again." Iyemina said the last sentence as if she was positive of certain events to come. Then, looking over at Relíque, she continued her story.
"I thank him for trusting me, letting me know that we deserve to be here just as everyone and everything else. I forgive him for falling in love and trusting the humans. Probably because I once was in love myself. To be honest, more than once." She coughed, a gesture of a subject change.
"So tell me, Relíque, do you hide your eyes for reasons I may or may not know of?"

The Sorrow let the subject slide quite easily.
Looking back to Mina, she gave a thin smile towards her question. "I'll take it off it you wish to experience your worst fears first hand... But I don't believe you'd want to go through that, and I also wouldn't want to put you through that either."

Iyemina smiled, shaking her head. "I prefer being your friend, not your foe." Friend. That was something she had not had in a long, long time. "Currently, you are the only person I trust 100%. I trust you have my back, and if so, you can be guarantied that I have yours."
Compared to Relíque, Iyemina was almost too open with her thoughts and feelings. However, she also knew that those of her type who had done naughty things were also open. Obviously.
"It is getting a bit late, is it not? Perhaps we should get ready for bed?"

Relíque only smiled and nodded, which was her silent way of agreeing and perhaps sealing some sort of "deal", if you will. Likewise with Mina, though unknowingly, this new friendship was something that the silver sorrow had not had for some many, many years...and because so, it admittingly felt a bit odd. But... it wouldn't so with some time, right?
Relíque's thoughts were jumbled and then diverted when the sleeping question was asked.
"Huh? Oh, yes, yes...we should," she replied as and rose off her seat. A small calculating look was offered into one corner of the room as she thought about the arrangements.
"You can sleep here, if you want, and I'll use the other room."

Iyemina nodded, getting up from her chair. She pushed it under the vanity table, again taking a look, then away. She walked towards the bed, checking to see how big it was and such. She smiled, then nodded again towards Relíque. "This will be fine, yes. Thank you."
Iyemina made a few more personal arrangements of the room before Relíque began to leave. When she opened the door, Iyemina spoke one more time. "If you ever need to tell me something, you can trust me. Afterall, who am I going to tell?" She smirked, looking over her shoulder.
"G' night, Rel. I hope to see you tomorrow....or sometime in the future."

Relique turned to look at her from the open doorway. "I'll remember that," she said, giving another nod and smile as she had minutes ago. ...but that was all she said before she stepped into the hall and closed the door. There was no goodnight or "see you tomorrow", just the words and gestures she had given a second before and the faint 'click' of the hall light switch. One couldn't even tell if there were footsteps or the closing of a door down the hall.
...That is until some time later the faint sound of violin playing drifted softly under the door from the other room. There were three in the Sorrow's bedroom, but apprently there had been another one in the other room. ...but no matter from where it came, because it was soft and lullaby-esque, seeming more comforting and something to put one to sleep rather then keep them up.
(the song sounds like the "lullaby" one from the movie Pan's Labrynth [the violin version] )

Mina gave a short chuckle and began getting ready for bed. She liked Relíque. She was not bouncy and sly such as Windia, and full of herself such as Rach. She was similar in certain ways to Ennui, though, but truthful and trusting....unlike Tristan.
So this was the beginning of certain new thoughts for Iyemina. She smiled, crawling into bed, and fell asleep to the sound of the melody. ~
