Kow and I discussed Madara, and we think that Madara is most likely Tobi. He's the one who gave Kakashi his eye and Tobi's eye is covered up where he should have his Sharingan.
Kow said there was a forum on this somewhere...if I had the link, I'd post it, but...I guess you'd just have to trust me.

Madara was the first Uchiha. Madara cannot be Tobi. Tobi might me Obito (that's what you mean). Obito gave Kakashi his Sharingan, not Madara. Madara was the first and most powerful Sharingan user, the one who killed the first Hokage. The statues that were present during the Naruto/Sasuke fight were Madara and the first.
Yo, Gennosuke. I like the way u think man. I know why you have the Sandaime Kazakage there and I know why u think Madara might be the Leader of Akatsuki. You're a genious man. I know that it was said that Sandaime Kazekage was "DEAD", but u have to admit, he was the Kazekage. Not an easy target. The maneki that was used did not looked like the Sandaime Kazekage statue at the Sand Village. I understand ur point man.

Thomas - kun its definetly a new character that we will be introduced to soon in the shippuden series. Possibilities for Leader haven't even been introduced in the manga in my opinion, so theres still a while to go.

Tachibana Shige Thomas - kun its definetly a new character that we will be introduced to soon in the shippuden series. Possibilities for Leader haven't even been introduced in the manga in my opinion, so theres still a while to go.

Well the leader may very well be one of those people or some whacked-up fruit loop....
Aww, Tobi is cute! whee ^^ and i think tobi is someone diffrent from all these specuations , well were just gonna half to see! blaugh ninja xd

i don't think there is a leader, but if you mean the one who started the akatsuki, i don't think it was Madara Uchiha so i'd have to say Third Hokage

HES THE THIRD!!
When orochimaru summons the hokages to kill the 4th, the thrid one doesnt finnish summoning cause hes already alive!
go onto fun with the akatsuki on Youtube and u'll see that it is the 3rd hokage (Narutos Dad.)
