Rain smiled a half smile. "Oh, well that's nice." he wasn't sure what else to say. It was different from his family to say the least. Even though he knew it was his family that was odd.

Rain walked in a bit more as she lead him. He haddn't even relized that she still had his hand. "It's kinda cold don't you think?"

She nodded, emerald eyes sparkling. "Thats why you have to start swiming. Warms up your body." Adora herself was barely aware that she still had his hand, unconciously leading him until the water touched her shoulder blades. "Bet I can swim to the little islands in the center faster then you can." The female spoke with a wink

"Islands?" He didn't know there were such things on the lake. Then again he didn't really know anything about the lake and beach. He had been away too long. Rain frowed. "Yeah, I bet you can."

She nodded again. "Daddy told me about them, but as it is, I can't really see them from here." Adora grinned "and come on, where's your fighting spirit? Normally a guy would never say that a girl was better until soundly beaten."

"I have to swim that far? Can I just fly. I know I can fly." Rain told her with a half smile. If the islands were that far he'd never make it. At least he didn't think so swimming.

"Why lie when I know you are right?" Rain said about the boy beating a girl thing. He didn't get the point.

"flying is cheating. Come on, take a challenge. If I win, I want something sweet. If you win, you can do whatever you want. Fly around backwards, practice your rainbows all day, you can even walk on home afterwards. What do you say?"

Rain didn't really like the sound of this. He wasn't very good at swimming. His father had taken him away when he was still little. After that he didn't go back very often. Still, he felt like he had to.

"Okay, fine." Rain told her and then put himself into the water fully. He couldn't swim walk.

Really, she wasn't the best of swimming. Ever since she was a child she had taken to the water, vaguely recalling something to do with dispising it at first. It was only recently that she had forced her daddy into the water she normally only looked at. So far, she was very proud at obtaining the knowladge of the puppy paddle. "Mk, on the count of three we go. One...two...th-...are you sure you want to do this?" She looked at him carefully, only vaguely aware of the pressure she had put

"Uh, yeah sure." Rain got himself all ready. He would do his best, even if that ment losing. He could get sweets from his mom's or something. "Just say three!"

She laughed in delight. "Fine then, three!" Adora shot herself fowards, kicking off of the bottom to sharpy propel her out. The girl rode it for as long as she could before pulling her legs up...and then pumping them under the water with her arms. Puppy Paddling herway forwards, her face set in joyful determination.

Rain then began to swim as well. He was not very good at all. He kept trying to get some kind of swing or motion to it. Then he thought of something. "Where is the island?" He called as he didn't know where he was swimming to.

She lifted her head higher, trying not to get water splashed into her mouth as she talked. "Daddy said somewhere in the middle of the lake. He's made it before." She spoke incouragingly, smiling. If her dad could do it, she could do it. Anything he could do, she could do better!

Rain nodded and splashed water into his face. He then headed for the center. Of course he had no idea where that was. He could see sure, but it's all water. Water looked like water. North could be south and so on. Still, he did his best.

Adora just kept paddling forwards, determind that she would run into the island sooner or later and tried to conserve some energy for when she at last saw it. Good thing was, Rain was slow too! She had seen some swim so FAST it was almost a relief she wasn't the only slow swimmer

"That it?" Rain called as he saw the land. It was a relif as he was getting very tired. His swimming was not even swimming. No one would call it that if they saw him.
