By my brother, I am derogatorively called "Grammar Nazi". (Yes, I put the period outside of the quotation mark. It looks better that way...)
Others I correct, I am called, "Nerd", "Jerk", "Geek"...Et cetera, et cetera...
People just can't take a good ounce of correction. Why are people insulted when you correct them? I don't understand it.

Most don't take notice when I correct them, which I rarely do. But I was once dubbed the name "Living, Breathing, Walking Dictionary" by my grandma, my mother, and my fourth grade afternoon teacher.

Most people just roll their eyes at me. :
I don't deserve a cute nickname. xd
For example, though, whenever I tell my Gran how to pronounce a word (such as 'indigo,' which she insists is pronounced as 'eendeego,') or that the a--'t word isn't properly a word, though in the dictionary (like; bling rolleyes ), she yells at me and says she's 'speakin' good.'

In real life, I end up as the Walking Talking Human Dictionary/Thesaurus/Calculator/... I have this whole HUGE list of titles. On Gaia I just get Grammanazi, snob, nerd, geek, b***h - the usual. xp

I'm usually only called nicknames by my friends anyway. But they don't have anything to do with my fetish of grammar. Usually their comments are more along the line of, "......" or, "SHUT UP!" I can keep silent most of the time when people talk incorrectly, but if they make a blatant error... Well, let's just say that the high school seniors on my soccer team are illiterate in the extreme.

I got called "asian" for using correct grammar and spelling once while playing an MMO. Not even for correcting someone else, JUST for BEING correct. stare
