The two girls looked at the girl, one eyebrow quirked precariously at her uncertain comings and goings. Marilene giggled softly, hoping that once the girl was settled better she could give a more accurate response. "So.. What is your name?" Marilene inquired quietly, her voice sweet and innocent. They hadn't learned her name yet and Marilene was curious to know. Tangerine was more curious to know why the girl was avoiding questions. It was too obvious for someone as sneaky as herself, so Tangerine knew almost exactly what the girl was doing... Almost...

Did I not introduce myself? Asherah thought in the oddly coherent speech with which she never spoke. I thought that I had. But in any case she figured that if she had not, it was probably due to the events of the day and the nagging voice in the back of her head that said she ought to be sleeping.
"I 'pologise," she said. "M'name is Asherah." She bowed, one hand behind her back, the other in front. She wished she had her hat so she could doff it, but alas it was missing. "Ye may call me Ash, eff yelike."

The two girls tipped their heads to her in respect. "Asherah? What a beautiful name!" Marilene cooed, thinking of all the things she could address the girl by. Tangerine, on the other hand, was quickly racing through her knowledge for where that named seemed familar from. It was something big... Something important... But she just couldn't remember. "You must be hungry." Marilene spoke up suddenly, smiling brightly to Asherah. Tangerine sighed loudly, dropping her hands to lie noisly at her hips. "Oh, is it tea time already?!" She inquired angrily. "Why, gracious, no! It's almost noon. Tea isn't for a few more hours yet." Marilene replied, oblivious to the insult.

(lol. Color change)
"Sm food woul' be nice," Asherah interrupted, sensing the anger of Tangerine. In all honesty, she did not know when exactly "tea time" was traditionally. In her opinion, anytime was a good time for tea. And if by "tea" they meant "rum," then all the better. Anytime was a good time for rum. Though, she doubted very much that this was the case.

(Ahh! You keep changing your avi~ I want some monies to make a cute avi~))
The two girls stopped their banter to turn and look at the girl. They exchanged a loaded look and turned back to her. "Well... I think there is a port resturant near here..." Marilene began, thinking carefully. Tangerine looked at her partner, considering something. "Before we eat... How do we know we can trust her?!" Tangerine inquired curiously, although she kept her voice level.
((Um... So, is Asherah a goddess? Or normal? Any place we want to take this?))

((^^ Thanks.
I wanted her to be, but after seeing PotC3, I don't know if I still want to. But I might as well anyway. So I suppose the answer it "yes." And then "not really" in the order in which they were asked.
We need more people. >>))
Asherah sighed. It was like the everywhere she went, whether she turned up at a port or on the beach. It was all this "can we trust her" business. It was to be expected of someone like her. Random woman shows up looking like this, people are going to be expecting her to be a pirate. And of course they'd be right. And pirates knew not to trust other pirates. Its the nature of the beast and all that... or something along those terms. She was never quite sure which cliche'd phrase best worked for which situation. Anyhow, it made it rather difficult to find work, even a captain or crew.
But that was besides the point. The point was that she was used to and understood distrust because it came with the job. She took her hands out of her pockets and showed the two of them empty palms. "I got na weapons. Ye c'n trest me s'far as ye c'n trest an'other."

((>.>...<.<....*is slightly confused* Alright. We'll think of something.))
The two girls looked at Asherah, each looking her over quickly for any place she may be hiding something. They then turned to each other, each tuned to the other's movements. Marilene[/colo] looked at Tangerine with big blue eyes, her silent request ringing loud in the orange haired girl's ears. The two stared at each other for a long moment, the tanner of the two's eyes weakening each second. After a few mintues Tangerine threw her hands into the air, screaming a wordless cry. "How do you know we can trust her?! I mean... She just washed up on the bloody shore!!" Tangerine shouted, her voice abrassive. Marilene was silent for a moment before, in a small, mystic voice she uttered her vote. "I know." Tangerine stopped her dramatic arm flailing, her eyes wide as she shared a loaded look with her partner. Marilene nodded softly.
When Marilene meant "she knew", she really did. The two has formed their "Crew" long ago, before the girls were old enough to claim to be pirates. They had grown accostomed to the other's ways, no matter how opposite they were. It was quickly apparant though that the blonde, beautiful, sweet pirate girl was not pirate material. It was also very apparent that she had another gift that, even if it wasn't as wondrous as others, served the two well.

((Yay! I'm confusing!))
There was a yawn, a scratching of one's head, and a sprinkling of sand as her scalp moved. And then another yawn. This was all very fascinating, really. So fascinating in fact that the description describing Asherah's fascination couldn't help but come off as a bit sarcastic. All this waiting around to do something productive was making her realize just how much sand had gotten into her clothes, and promptly began dusting herself off.

((No you're not! And I supposed I could see how that was annoying.))
It was another moment of intense staring before the pirate pair turned and faced Asherah. "We've come to a consensus." Tangerine began, her hands on her hips. She looked the girl down without saying another word as if Asherah knew exactly what she was talking about. "You can join our group!" Marilene told her with a giggle. Tangerine waved her hand about, frowning a little. "Not join. Tag along. If we find you worthy, then you may join." "It's a regirous test." "Quite filled with danger." "But plenty of excitement." "But a great plenty more deal of danger."

Though pleased, she was rather amused that they had had to discuss whether or not she should "join." Or be allowed to, in any case. There were only two of them, after all. It just doesn't do well to be picky when you've only got two people.
She bowed, and once again wished she'd had her hat. "I thank ye, fer lettin' me 'tag along' with ye. I 'preciate yer kindness."

The two smiled pleasently, as if they had done a great deal of work. Tangerine placed her hands onto her hips and exhaled deeply, releshing in the freeze, fragrant sea breeze. "When are we eating?" She inquired, looking at her two accomplices. She was quick to consider Asherah a part of her "Crew" given her partner's prediction.

Asherah subdued a playful smirk and kept a serious face. Working alone never got things done, and if these two were all she was going to get in the ways of company, then this was as good as it was going to get. "Pardon me fer sayin' so, but aren't that yer decision? Bein' the Captain an' all, Miss Tangerine?"
After all, she wouldn't know the first place to look for food. At least not here.

The blonde girl turned and looked at her Captain, her face smooth and smiling, waiting her say. Tangerine paused, her smiling face falling at Asherah's question. She looked from Marilene to Asherah and back again. Her muscles had relaxed in the time she was thinking and now she straightened her back and her face adopted a hard look. "It is my decision. I was just giving you two the oppurtunity for additional input. Your time is now up. I want some crab." Tangerine replied indignantly.

Asherah smiled and made a fluid motion with her hand, as if gesturing to go in a particular direction. "Lead ther way, Cap'n." Clearly, she was much more awake than she was minutes ago, having gotten her landlegs back and spent some time up off the ground.

((Everybody's wearing their cloaks, it's so cute! ^__^))
Tangerine straightened her spine indignantly, stomping off toward the little resturant they would dine at. "You know... You're really quite lucky we found you." Marilene began, not finishing her sentance as she was distracted by a paticularly intresting white cloud in the sky. Tangerine said nothing as she was leading the group and had not heard her partner's statement.
