The crow clucked at the mare before hopping in the direction of Draven, fluttering its wings to propel it a bit further with each 'step' until it was beside the bruised stallion. Its black eyes drifted around, looking for the mare that had guided his companion to this stream. She was nowhere to be found... But the crow would find her again. It knew it would.
He groaned softly, shifing his head at the sound of a familiar voice. One eye opened as he peered up. "... Nostalgia?" Crow. He was going to have to have a word with that bird... He hadn't wanted Nos to see him like this.

Nostalgia blinked, watching the hopping bird as it made its way towards its goal. When the fallen stallion came into view, her pace grew even faster as she rushed to be by his side. Ignoring the chains strapped to her ankle, she was hasty to reach Draven, and leaned down to examine the black stallion for his wounds, unaware there was anything or anyone close to him other than Crow.
Hearing him utter her name made her heart skip a beat as relief rushed over her. He was still alive, and conscious at that.
"Draven... what happened? Are you alright?" shaking her head, she mentally reprimanded herself and answered her own question, "Of course your not alright.... mercy, Draven, what have you gotten yourself into?"

He shook his head slowly, managing not to wince as he did so. "I'm alright..." A poor lie, he knew. One he wouldn't get away with. "... Or, at least, I will be given a few day's rest." He nodded, letting his eyes close once more as he let his head drop down once more. "One of the Cursed was roaming the plains... She had her sight on two mares, one of which wasn't... Wasn't all that bright. They got away." They had gotten away, but he hadn't. He was going to have to find that young mare and have a nice, long talk with her.

"You're a strong stallion, Draven, and a good friend." she commented, one eyebrow raising at his remark, "But I have to say, you're a terrible liar."
She listened intently to his brief summary, and shook her head, silently glad the Cursed hadn't ended her companion's life. "Being the hero again, brave Draven? That's going to get you killed one of these days, if you're not careful."
Gently she rested her horn against one of the larger wounds, and closed her eyes. "Don't move," she softly commanded, and concentrated her energy into her curved horn, and then onto the laceration. She would heal what wounds he had as best she could, though weakness still lingered in her from her healing earlier. There would be no other way for him to survive, if he wasn't able to raise himself up and escape from this land before sunset. The predators would be out, and he'd be more than an appetizing treat for them in his poor state.

"I couldn't let the cursed hurt them... It was better they ran away. Not long after she attacked another threat arrived; a large, black stallion." He shook his head slowly, falling still as she healed him. A soft tingling sensation rippled through his body causing him to open his eyes, gazing up at the mare. "Nostalgia, I'll be fine. I think you've taken care of the worst. The rest will be a reminder to not go wandering late at night... Just like I've been telling your children."

Nostalgia paused as his story continued, and led into detail about a black stallion. It... it couldn't have been the same one that had attacked her and Memory.. could it?
Shaking her head in attempts to clear out the memories of that awful afternoon, she tended to some of his smaller wounds before raising her head, giving in to his wishes for her to stop.
"Hmm... sounds like you do indeed need to be practicing what you preach. Though I am very, very glad that you're alright, Draven."
Her lips curled up into a small smile. Nos was so very relieved to find that he was alright, and doing in a fair condition at this point.
"I do have to ask, though, Draven... how did you manage to come this far? Poor Crow must have been doing alot of work, to get you to where you are now."

He pushed himself slowly to his hooves, testing the ground beneath him before looking up to the mare. "Thank you, Nostalgia. You've rescued me once again." He smiled softly as he stretched out his neck to give her a friendly nuzzle.
"Crow... Didn't lead me here." He paused, brow furrowing slightly as he looked around for the petite mare that had lead him to the stream. "There was a mare." Had he imagined her? Was she a roaming spirit from the world between? "I... Don't know, Nostalgia. She was here just before you arrived. Mares don't just disappear, do they?"

Her head tilted, dark braids spilling down against her neck. What in the world was Draven talking about? Tiny mares... disappearing?
"Er... not that I know of, Draven. I was unaware that any mare had the ability to disappear and reappear, but in this world, anything is possible, I suppose."
She gave him another smile, trying to push away the fear that he had injured his head and was now beginning to hallucinate illusions. All in good time, they'd figure out what was going on. But first and most importantly, they needed to get him to safety.
