I'd say the witch doctor theme - it breaks away from the typical graveyard theme, but it can still be pretty spooky if you do it right. It depends on what materials you have available, however.
Things I'd suggest for some witch doctor theme decorations:
~Shrunken heads (Not sure what you could do for that one - maybe get dark socks, put a face on them somehow, put a round object inside and hang it...? sweatdrop )
~Potions (Funky looking glasses and jars with coloured water/funny looking items in them)
~Creepy lighting (I'll leave that one up to you
That's about all I can think of...again, those are just suggestions. It depends on what you have. Good luck with whatever you decide on! mrgreen

Ooo I like your ideas! My favorites are the werewolf forest and the carnival of terror. I think the best way to get supplies cheap is to go to a craft shop, and also use lots of cardbaord and possibly styrofoam. 3nodding

God I needed to visit this sooner... Sorry everyone. xXKielahXx "Go with nightmare before christmas theme...It would look cool..." This would be great if I had 10 - 15 thousand dollars to pull off a decent look and if I had a year to plan it all... I am down to the wire and even making a TNBC Backdrop (for the window) out of cardboard/wood, would take a while to do/set up. No one in my family is thin enough to be Jack or Sally and without my BF to be here, being either one of those characters is kinda silly/pointless. I appreciate the idea however! Kikaryu I know the pumpkin patch and grave yard are cliches, but they are an important part of Halloween culture and tradition. I'd say go with those again, but if you really want something new, I'd say go with like, a bizarro world thing. Like, have a normal setup of whatever it is your setting up, but make it all way dark and bizzar looking. Yes I knew that when I came up with the original theme in 2002 but what can I do?It's not halloween unless you have something along those lines. Bizzaro world?... Hmm.. that might work. Cherokeesk8r Id go with the witch and werewolf ideas Witches might be doable.
