♥ Jessica was sorta relieved by Yuri's question cuz it seemed she didnt want company
but she quickly changed her mind and tried to be nice
"Oh no, hun. No big plans fer me."
She said as she found some sticks on the ground to build a fire with.
She quickly stood back up and said
"...I'll be back in..a few minutes i guess.."
She took her belt and took out her whip and walked cautiously into the forest
She was pretty sure she heard something... ♥

Looking out into the forest she looked for the tale-tale signs of life. Staying crouched down by the berry bush she slowly drew her bow and nocked an arrow. Following Jessica's gaze she caught an off color among the trees. Pulling back to full draw she took careful aim. If whatever this was decided to be unfriendly its life span would dramatically decrease.

Porter heard someone coming up behind him. He whirled around, pistol in hand, and slid behing the tree.
He didn't feel like meeting anyone today.
He quickly shimmied up the tree, ignoring the scratches it was imposing on his body.

♥ Jessica walked to the tree and saw that there was no one.
"That's strange...I heard someone here..."
She looked both ways but still saw nothing.
Then she saw a couple of leaves fall with a soft noise.
Acting out of pure instinct, she threw the ends of the whip above in the direction of the noise and felt it grabs something,
she then dragged it down. And saw...

Porter grunted as he felt the whip grasp his ankle and yank him out of the tree. He landed with a soft thump on the forest floor. He adjusted his hat to his preference.
He whipped out his pistol suddenly, and held it up to his attackers face. He saw that it was a young woman, dressed in violet clothes.
"Who the hell are you?" He had a Texan accent.

♥ Jess was really surprise when she saw what fell from the tree.
Instead of a mythical creature, she saw a man in his late 20's.
She was about to help him up when he aimed the gun at her.
The whip was withdrawn from his ankle and grabbed his gun instead.
She held the gun with the whip and asked.
A better question could be why you were in the tree.
Were you spying on Yuri in the pond?"
She asked with disgust

He slowly stood up. He stood only a few inches taller than her. He was amazed that this woman had the gall to take his gun from him.
"Spying?" He said the word with disgust. "I'm a tracker, not a spy." He took his gun back, and shoved it in the belt of his pants. "And if you don't mind, I have a creature to track."
He was irritated that his quest had to be interrupted by this petty argument.

When he fell from the trees she lowered her bow and stood up watching the conversation unfold. She could have laughed when Jess sugested he was spying on her. Yuri had never really thought herself pretty enough to be spied on.
"To bad Jess I almost thought there was something interesting there." she laughed lightly at the situation her light humor returning now that she was feeling better.

Porter's cheeks flushed.
"I have more class than that," He snapped back.
He looked at the trail he'd been following. "Damnit." The trail had been lost due to the scuffing of feet on the ground.

Yuri smiled when she realized he must be after the silver blooded animal. She had seen which way the trail went and would make it easier for her and Jess, if she chose to come, to find again.
"He doesn't particularly look like he's in the mood for company." Yuri said with a smile playing on her lips, "If he wants to be left alone maybe we shouldn't but in."
Taking in his appearence Yuri guessed him to be about 26 to maybe even a young 30. Not that she had much to compare him to. It had been almost 2 full years before leaving her home assuming she had counted days right. I wonder if anyone ever looked for me. but she quickly banished the thought, it didnt matter out here.

She turned to Yuri while still taking to the guy,

A gryphon? Trying to keep a nuetral apperence she took a second look at the man, "Maybe we did find something interesting today. Any particular reason why you are after it?"
Trying to be patient Yuri wanted this conversation to be over. She had heard many a stories about gryphons and now she had to find it.
