Chapter 4

Things were rough on the first couple of weeks. I eventually got used to the smell, but I continued to beg them to clean the bus every once in a while. 2004. I felt old. Almost 27. About 2 months till my birthday. I was about 5 days younger than Ray. They said they were going on tour with Fall Out Boy. I nearly fell out of my seat.
“Are you serious?” They all shook their heads. I clobbered the closest person, which was Frank again.
“Sorry, Frank.” I pleaded for forgiveness. I think he got fed up of me clobbering him. He shook his head, which I took as and ‘It’s ok’. All them backed up about 3 feet.
“Didn’t you guys know I was a big fan of Fall Out Boy?” They looked down like boys who just lied about something.
“It’s ok.” I tried to cheer them up, “How ‘bout we go outside and play some kickball?” Frank was the first to rush out the door and grab the kickball.
The teams were: Frank, me, and Gerard against Ray, Mikey, and Bob. It was fairly fun. I’m not big on kickball, but if I have to play it, I’ll play.
“Who’s up first?” I yelled as my teammates backed up into position. Mikey and Bob backed up.
“Crap…” They know what happens when I roll the ball. It’s either too hard or too soft. I rolled the ball to him. For a first, he was able to kick it.
“Go, Ray.” I heard Mikey and Bob cheering him on. Some guys and security guards interrupted our game.
“Oh my God!! It’s Fall Out Boy!!” I almost clobbered Pete, but I controlled myself.
“Yeah. It’s us, Fall Out Boy.” Patrick said in a fear type way.
“Pete, would you like to go out to eat?” I asked without using my mind. My mind asked itself.
“Yeah.” My eyes were as big as saucepans. I worded ‘Oh my God’ to myself.
“Where would you like to go?” I tried to keep my mind under control, but I couldn’t.
“Ummm… how ‘bout at McDonald’s then we can just get Drive-Thru and no one would kill me.” He suggested.
“I’ll drive.” We went off to the car.

(Gerard’s POV)

When she just randomly asked Pete out, I sort had gotten broken hearted. I don’t really know why. Maybe I still like her. I don’t know. Anyways, I asked Patrick how their last tour was. We had a fairly awkward conversation, but enjoyable nonetheless. After Elizabeth came back, I walked toward the car.
“Hey, Gerard!” She got out of the car and hugged me. After she hugged me, she looked at my face, “Sweetheart, what’s up?” She said with concern.
“Can we talk?” I begged, “Somewhere private.”
“Yeah.” I hopped into the car and she got into the passenger. I drove down the street and toward an unlighted cemetery. I got out and helped her out of the car. I had her following me toward this eerie building in the center of the old cemetery. “Gee, why are we here?” She questioned me.
“There is a point.” ((Starting to sound familiar?)) I grabbed something from her purse that I slid into it. It was a Coolers Light.
“Thank you.” I took a drink from the beer can.
“Thank you for what?” She started to back up. She stayed close because it was really late about midnight or one in the morning.
“Just thank you.” I walked toward her. I finished the Coolers Light.
“Gee, you’re scaring me.” She walked toward me anyways. That’s what was confusing. That’s what I liked. Anything she’s scared of she moves forward than back. I moved back and sat down.
“I wanted to ask you out again.”
“Sorry, Gee. Pete asked me to be his girlfriend on our date.” I saw her start crying. I tried to comfort her. What else was I supposed to do? I helped her to the car, and we drove back to the bus.

(Elizabeth’s POV)

“Hey, Pete.” I went up to him and gave him a hug. For the next ten-fifteen minutes, we talked. Not ignoring, not eating. Just talking. After a while, I went back to the bus and crawled into my bunk. I looked down to see Mikey reading.
“What are you reading, Mikey?” I stared at the reading selection he was holding.
“A comic book.”
“What’s it called?” I thought he know to give me the title of it.
“I didn’t look at it.” I tried to read it, but it was too small print.
“How are things going with Alicia?” I pondered aloud.
“Great.” He lied. I never told anyone I could read through lies.
“Ok.” I lay in my bunk. I noticed a book next to me. I picked it up and read where the bookmark was. I finished the chapter and got out of my bunk. I don’t take me too long to read. I noticed Gerard and Frank talking. I backed up and tried to hide myself. I listened to what they were saying.
“What’s up? Don’t say ‘nothing’ because I can tell.” Frank demanded.
“Haven’t you heard yet? Lizzie’s going out with Pete.”
“Are you serious? Aren’t you happy for her?” I clenched the side and sobbed quietly.
“Yeah, but I miss her. You know being my girlfriend.”
“Damn… That must suck. Well, I’m going to turn in. We have a big day tomorrow.” Frank got up and walked this way. He saw my feet in the isle because I slid down to sit. I was dazed, and I could barely pay attention to what he was saying.
“Lizzie, you ok?”
“Huh??” I heard some words, but I couldn’t understand what he said. I looked up dazed.
“I said are you ok?” He stuck his hand out and helped me to my feet.
“Yeah.” I shook my head while speaking.
