Now, what was hell? Ah well, that was another question for another day. "I would but..." She gently blushed, glancing shyly at him while bitting her lower lip slightly. "I...can't read."

The straw that broke the Camel's back... "Oh for the love of... You're HOPELESS!" Spinning around and grabbing her wrist he turned off his path and made a B-line for the HQ, which was actually closer than home by over twenty minutes.
Really, they were just heading back the way they had come, since they had not really gotten all that far, what was different this go around though, was Tamrin was running, and dragging Adora behind him, not really worried if she was keeping up or not, since he would just drag her along behind him anyway.
Once they got to the HQ he threw open the door, and tromped his way to the library, reaching the 'child' section of the room that seemed too large to really be in the building, he randomly selected a book, let go of her wrist and threw it at her.
"Try this one... It's called Spot Goes Home."

Eyes widening, she lightly squeeked as she was suddenly yanked towards Headquarters and then dragged. Adora ran as best as she could in the awkward position, dumbstruck. Then into HQ they went and into the library. She barely caught the thing. "Spot goes home?" She lightly frowned, looking at the cover. More specifically, the little squiggly lines that she knew as 'words'. "Where does it say that?" There were so many squiggly lines on the cover! so many 'words'!

Tam rolled his eyes. "Spot..." He pointed at the first word. "Goes..." the second. "Home..." The third. "Spot Goes Home..."
He facepalmed and sank down in the nearest avaialbe chair, which wasn't all that far away... closing his eyes he sighed. "It says Spot Goes Home..." He did not have the patience for this...

"Mhmm..." she mused before sitting down on the chairs arm, leaning over to him slightly to point to some words. The author. "And what is this?"

Tamrin opened an eye. "That's the name of the Author..." He sighed and got up, going and finding a book that TAUGHT reading... And then brought it back to her, flinging it at her before sitting down. "Start with that one instead..." He grunted, shaking his head.
How had he gotten into this mess!

"I see..." She blinked as she was handed ANOTHER book, slowly opening it to the first page. It was the letter A. "Whats this?" She didn't know how to read...at all.

Tamrin sighed, opening his eyes again. "That's A..." He huffed and collapsed.
If there was only some way he could figure out how to get out of this and keep his nobility intact... Damn his father and his high-seeming sense of morals!

Tamrin would have laughed, but he saw no humor in it... "Get used to it..." He said. "Now keep going, once you can read I can go home..."
Sighing, he kept cursing his father over and over and over... WHy couldn't he be his mother's son in more than looks!

"B, the next will be C, then D, then E, and so on..." Tamrin waved his hand. "You... Do know your alphabet... don't you..."
Please Guardians... If she doesn't I'm going to have to kill somebody... My father's moral compas be damned...

She blinked at him as if he was the ignorant one, lightly chuckling before looking at the book again. "So it goes in order! Of course I know my ABC's." That was all he had needed to say!

"Yes, exactly... It goes in order, no jumps... Then you can just sound out words once you know what things look like... Letters I mean..."

"but there are so many different ways to say the same thing. A...Ah...then there's silent letters..." Adora quietly murmered, looking intently at the bumblebee. Just a little flash that she was smarter then she let on. She just couldn't read. Or know what cursewords were. Or understand that tam really could hurt her.
