The starship lands onto one of the Army base's many landing pads. Zek grabs all his weapons, leaving the rest of his non-combat things aboard the ship. A soldier walks over, Zek approaches him.
"Take care of her, I might be gone for a while. Don't just let her mothball."
"Yes, sir."
Zek looked like a inventory of weapons, his rifle slung over his back, with his backpack of explosives pushing the rifle against his back. Thankfully, the rifle was still easy swing out in front of him and he was able to open fire very rapidly. The pistols were in his holsters, Lance had added another vibroblade which was secured behind his back, the other one was behind his right leg.
He looked like someone out of time and place, a forgotten figure among the new world of the Republic. As Zek walked down the corridors of the base, often students would double take as their history book walked by.
It was a good five minutes before Zek found someone with status. Zek saluted. The man returned.
"I'm looking for a man named Iero, seen him?" "If you're here for a mission, go wait in the waiting room, that's where everyone goes to meet for their missions."
Zek pulled off his rifle and backpack and sat down, chomping down the sandwich he had ordered, now, he just had to wait.

Raine smiles and sighs lightly. Thank you, I'll be in the area.
She half frowns as she begins to mentally go over her supplies on hand. I have my blaster and two short vibroblades, but nothing else. Suppose I should finish getting ready.
Walking to a turbolift, she descends down to a lower section of the city-planet, one that even after all this time was still not completely tame. Leaving the turbolift behind, she walks around to find the store she was looking for. I'm sure it's in this area...
Her eyes see a small building with broken windows and a sign half hanging in front of the door, the letters too worn to tell what it originally said. Undaunted, Raine proceeds into the building, ducking beneath the sign.
Welcome, how may I be of service? Without having to look, she knew that the Gotal shopkeeper was standing beside a shelf with a weapon trained on her. It's good to see you again, Vehast.
The Gotal comes out of the shadow of the shelf and gives her a toothy smile. Ah, it's you again. What can I get for you? Walking to the dusty counter, she smiles sweetly. I was looking for a codebreaker.
The Gotal leans forward and lowers his voice. Planning on breaking into places, huh? Raine shrugs lightly. I also would also like a lightweight piece of armor. Nothing fancy.
Scratching his chin, Vehast nods slowly. You seem anxious, nervous, and, may I say, a little scared? Raine lightly chuckles. Just going to do something for the first time, and probably something I haven't done in a long time.
Nodding, Vehast extends a hand. I would be willing to part with the items for five thousand credits. Raine steps back and moves her hand to her mouth in mock astonishment. Five thousand? That's a great deal for little ole me... The Gotal just smiles. You never change. You're still a horrible liar.
Shrugging, she reaches into a pocket in the inside of the long coat. Pulling out some credit vouchers, she waves them at him. I'll pay, as soon as you let me see in what condition they're in. Putting his hands to his heart, Vehast makes a pained face. You cut me deep, even thinking that I would cheat you. Why, I would have no business if I did.
She doesn't say a word, merely waves a hand at the absence of anyone else in the shop. With a sigh, he goes to the back and returns with the armor and codebreaker. Checking them over, they seemed in good shape. Handing over the vouchers, she winks at the Gotal. If anything happens, I'll come back to you.
It's always a pleasure doing business with you. The Gotal smiles and watches as the Corellian removes the long coat and places the metal plated flak jacket on. Sliding the coat back on, she waves to the shop keeper and pockets the codebreaker in the side pocket in her pants.
Exiting the shop, she wonders what time it is, and whether or not enough time had passed to get picked up. She begins heading to the turbolift, wanting to get to a suitable place for delivery.

Iero was still searching for things to pack when Havoc entered the room.
"What are you packing for?"Asks Havoc.
"I am on a military mission. Recon on Haruun Kal."Answers Iero while throwing some energy capsules in his survival pack.
"Recon. Hmm, you are going to wear bright white armor to a recon mission?" Asks Havoc in a shocked tone.
"What else can I where? This is my only armor."
"They Have an armor update at the shop. On your way to the base, go get it."
I hope you are right, Havoc."Says Iero as he stuffs his bag with smoke grenades and ammunition.
As Iero flies to the armor shop,he starts thinking about a medic he would need. Without a medic my squad could get wiped out fast. These recon missions can go from bad to worse really fast. When Iero's ship lands he decides that he will have to go on the mission without a medic unless this medic can get to the waiting room fast. He steps inside the store and asks if there are any new armor updates.
The clerk responds with "We are carrying a camo update specificly designed for recon and by your equipment, I can tell you will need it. 5000 credits for it."
It would be easier to paint it but I don't have much time. Give me the update along with a radar scrambler and you will get 5000 credits. Deal?
"Fine, but you owe me Iero."The clerk says as he grabs the credits and Iero. He points to a large disk on the ground. Iero steps on it and a large metal tube surrounded him. The tube shot out mechanical claws as it fixed up the suit and began updating. The claws pulled back into the tube, and the tube lowered.
"Thank you sir."Iero said as he stepped down. His Armor was now black and olive green.
"Anything else I can interest you in?" Asks the clerk.
"Maybe, I will ned an air purifier for my helmet. The planet has poisoned air."
"50 credits if I don't install it and 100 if I do.
"50 credits. I can install it. Iero says. He pays the clerk and takes his radar scrambler and air purifier. He then flies straight to the army base to wait for the squad to come.

With the sandwich finished it was now just waiting around. Zek had found a bench and was lying down, trying to rest a little. He was rather close to the entrance of the Army Base and the doors shutting and opening made for good background noise. Zek heard what sounded like an army tramp through the doors. He opened an eye.
"My worst nightmare." Zek said to himself. "Younglings."
"It's a clonetrooper!" The kids immediately crowded around the mercenary, clamoring for him to do stuff.
"Fly through the air!" "You're in my history book." "So cool!"
Zek sat up. All the children were just staring at him.
"I'm so sorry, we were just having a field trip..."
The teacher of the class didn't really know what to think of the clone trooper staring at her.
"Kids, stay in school or I'll come to your house and kill your pets."
Zek grabbed his rifle and held it close to them.
"With this." "Bang."
The chaos was a bit overwhelming for the teacher as they all started running in every which way to get away from him.
"You can thank me later, just keep those kids away from me." Zek went back to sleep with a smile on his face.

Ro walked into the Army base. She had been sent there by the Chief so she could meet her squad members. She saw all the little kids swarming around Zek. She smiled and waved. "Zek!" she yelled to him, waving. She walked over and smiled at the little kids. "Go along now, nothing to see here!" she said in a gentle voice. She walked to Zek. "Looks like I got recuited too. Didn't think I would see you again so soon."

Zek near jumped out of his skin when he heard her voice. He sat back up.
"Where the heck did she come from?" Zek thought to himself.
"Looks like I got recuited too. Didn't think I would see you again so soon."
Zek rubbed the back of his neck, blushing a little bit behind his helmet. There was something about her that put him on pins and needles. Zek hadn't ever met someone so...different, maybe innocent and naive were better words, in his life. He stood to his feet.
"What are the chances, huh?"
"Why the heck is wrong with me?!?" Zek thought to himself. He was never like this, he was a blood lust mercenary, one of the best, and her presence seemed to bring him back to a time before when his life was simple. Zek looked over at the nearby diner.
"Are you hungry, can I buy you something to eat?"

Upon exiting the turbolift and looking around, Raine realizes that she had gotten on the wrong turbolift and was now several kilometers away from where she had intended to get out at. Sighing, she begins to walk in the direction of the place she wanted to get to.
The streets were filled with pedestrians, none of them knowing each other or caring about another. Shaking her head, she grows weary of seeing so many beings in one place. She goes into an alley and wanders through it, attempting to find a way there without having to deal with so many people.
Even after all this time, I'm still not used to being around so many people in one place.
The lighting within the alley slowly fades away as the buildings on either side get taller and taller, blocking out even more of the sunlight. She doesn't encounter any beings in the alley, which she takes as a positive. Not that I don't like people as much as it is I don't want to deal with the kind of people that would inhabit this kind of place. I left them behind when I got in the turbolift.
The light begins to strengthen as she nears the mouth of the alley. She smiles at the welcoming sight and briskly walks towards it. Looking around, she nods as it was much closer to where she was wanting to be. A nice little shortcut. I'll have to try and remember it.
A light grumble gets her attention. Oh yeah.. I forgot that I haven't eaten anything yet. Well, there is a nice diner not too far away. It'll be a bit of a walk, but oh well. Nodding to herself, she heads in the direction of the diner.

Ro smiled. Awe, geez, what the hell am I doing this for? is what she was thinkning really. HEr stomach grumbled. "Yeah, famished accually. Thanks for the offer," she said.
"Private? Private pick up," said the little screen on her watch. The Chief looked worried.
Ro looked down. "Yes, Chief?" she said.
"WE have just been informed that the transport that you were supposed to be flying has been stolen from the hanger. You will have to use a smaller one."
Ro smiled. "No Problem, Chief. Just so long as I'm not flying an antique like the Flacon." She winked and shut off the screen.

Zek listened, then motioned for her to stand in line with him, she walked over and they talked as the line slowly progressed.
"So, where are you from? And why did you join up?" Zek asked.

Iero left his ship in the military hanger and ran over to the waiting room. "why isn't anyone here. I told the ceneral that I should go solo. Well, I can wait."
"Why don't you go to the army eatery? According to the records, Rowynne and Ezekial have come through here and have also gone to eat." Says A.I.D. in droid speak.
"Fine, It isn't like I have anything else to do. Maybe I can recheck my inventory once I get there."Iero says and then he begins to walk to the eatery while looking through the mission stats. He starts to see a plan fall together in his mind. He begins to perfect it while walking.
[[[OOC]]] I will be unable to get to the internet until Sunday of the first week of August. Sorry I can't begin the mission yet.

"Well, I think it all started when my mother and brother died ten years ago. My father had taken me to his work that day, because I had just biuld a small droid. Slave raiders came to the outskirts of Mos Eisley where we lived. When my father and I got home, we saw Mother and David and the floor lying in a pool of blood...." Ro's voice craked. She shook her head and continued. "I started to work with Daddy in the shop and flying in pod racers for extra money. I bought parts with it for more supplies for the shop. I was worked on my racer when I saw some pilots land. They let me take a look inside the transport and I knew then I wanted to be a pilot." She laughed at herself.

Raine walks to the eatery and enters the building. A droid looked as if it was moving on two wheels glances at the new customer. Welcome, take a seat wherever you'd like. Raine nods and goes to a booth alongside a window. Taking in the view outside, she sighs. So many people stuck in one place... I'm not sure if it's a blessing or a curse. She smiles lightly. Well, it's a blessing for bureaucracy, and a curse for anyone lonely.
She glances at the menu and debates on what she was going to get. Nerfloins sounds all right. I wonder if they have traladon ribs... Looking up from the menu, she sees the wait droid. Is there anything I can get for you? Raine smiles at the droid. I'll need a few more minutes. Though I'll take a stim tea in the meantime. The droid nods and goes off towards the kitchen.
Raine glances at the door as a few customers enter and take a seat. She returns to the menu, glad to be facing the door. Also is interesting to try and figure out just what the people do. She continues looking for the ribs.
((All right. See you then.))

Memories flooded his thoughts, "So much death." He thought to himself.
The young girl was still distraught a little over the experience, even after ten years. The world was a cruel place for the folks trying to just live and let live. It was a cycle. No one could escape this cycle.
"Death. Death never changes." Zek muttered to himself.
Zek nodded when she finished.
"My family died when I was relatively young also. I grew up here on Coruscant. The gangs you see now are nothing, especially when compared to the gangs of my day. I was part of many of them, pulling jobs. Then I got sick you know. Really sick. Sick of my life. I went to the Jedi. Soon enough, the streets were filled with blood and my family paid the price."
Zek went through his background with no regret, he didn't like to think too much about it. He cracked his fingers.
"I became a mercenary and never looked back, my dad was a collector of the Clone War armor and weapons. I modded them and I fight in his honor."
The line moved ahead slowly, the two moved forward.
((No worries mate, who can guess the obscure reference to a videogame hidden in Zek's words?))

((hehe, no idea, sorry dude.))
Rowan nodded. She pointed to the bracelet with the gear on her wrist. "This was my brother's." was all she said, hoping that Zek would understand what she ment. "Live goes on, doesn't. You just have to hope to hell they're in a better place." The line moved up. They both were at the almost front of the line. "Being raised on Tatooine, you learn how to take the hard way of live. That's my thinking. So, what do you think we are going to get on this mission?" she asked him.

((Fallout line, "War. War never changes." That game rocks. Fallout 3 is coming soon. If I only I had an XBOX360 ))
So much of what she said resonated with Zek. Their lives were similar in many ways, both fighting to honor dead family. Both were stories rarely heard on the Galactic News, two pitiful souls fighting for their future. Embracing their past whether wearing it on a wrist or killing with it.
"Don't know, could be anything, the Republic's been busy trying to grab all the artifacts they can get. The Sith and the Empire are still big threats in this galaxy and-"
The droid interrupted him.
"What would you like to order sir?"
"Whatever you want, Ro, I got it covered."
Zek passed his card to the droid.
