Now I can't wait for episode 10. I really hope this show gets licensed, because I want to buy the DVDs and watch them over and over again at work.
I want Gaia to give us guns. A really big gun. That would make this outfit complete. xd

L0k1 So after episode 9, we can safely assume that the Spiral King is a human. Not to mention with all the drills, I bet he came from a village like, if not the same as, Simon. Show gets better every episode. I'm pretty sure he's not human, just more human than the beastmen. Nia's eyes may also be a good indicator that she's not quite human either, especially after the conversations stressing how much like Simon and the others she looked.

Skizzors Cynder And NOW I find a better way to say it. gonk I think the lines you're talking about are fur markings. Why are you convinced your way of wording it was rude? It isn't, like, at all. Especially compared with mine? Yeah, he doesn't TOTALLY look like Rossiu, and does seem a little beast-ish. But, that aside? Looks like Rossiu. Same hairline, same weird little sprig of hair, eyebrows, forehead. Rossiu beastman FTW? edit: Also, Sprial King daughter FTW.

The Gurren Lagaan panel at fanime was really cool. Hiroyuki Yamaga showed the first episode raw and said afterwards "If you liked what you saw, go ahead and watch a fansub or something." lol
He also said he's definitely planning on bringing it to the states, and based on its popularity it may see a second season.
Episode 9 ftw...I can see Simon's transformation and it's pretty visceral. It seems like Rossiu is turning out to be the level-headed one, with Nia being more of the emotional counterbalance?
Anyways, looks friggin' sweet.

MANJl simon is turning into quite the bamf.w0rd. Although he's treading a fine line between bamf and emo. Knowing Simon though, I'm sure he'll snap out of it and refine it into plenty of Gar for the remainder of the show.

I can't wait to see how Simon turns himself around. The last episode, for me, was very close to the level of cliche that I'm not too keen on (except in some older cases ala Evangelion) but Nia really helped turn that around. Simon's in his dark place right now and Nia very well be his boon from the Gods.
(the three Beast generals were freakin' awesome, can't wait to see them in action!)
