As Nafsi poked him, Mashaka whined a little, pathetically, and tried to curl up into a protective little ball. This leopardess was just too helpful. In fact, she was invasively helpful, or at least that's what Shaka thought. He wondered if perhaps helpfulness was some kind of disease; he hoped it wasn't contageous because he really didn't have time to waste on being helpful.

But the leopardess persisted and the cheetah could only groan a bit as he uncoiled himself. "Geeze, lady, can't you just let me die!?" he moaned. "I mean, I probably deserve it." And this moment of pure, stark honesty from Mashaka was the sort of thing that could only be brought on by the feeling of being near death.

Though, despite his stomache ache, he was now much further from death than he had been before.

The leopardess frowned deeply at his reaction and words. "No, I can't so get up and move!" She barked at him nudging him with her paw. She was beginning to lose her patients with him and was ready to drag him into the shade if she had to and wouldn't even care that much if he lost a patch of fur or two in the process. "No one deserves to die no matter what, short of committing mass murder no one deserves to die." She hissed at him nearly whacking him just for saying that.

She continued to nudge him with her paw. "If you don't get up, I'll drag you and you definitely won't be looked at by any girl except in disgust." She told him rudely despite herself. Nafsi only hoped that it got his attention enough that he'd actually move.

Mashaka scowled. Nafsi was irritatingly persistant. Stubborn girls were the bane of the lusty, bitter cheetah's existance. Besides that, she was way too forgiving, especially with respect to who did or did not deserve to die. Still, knowing she wasn't about to give up, and not wishing to be humiliated further, Shaka begrudgingly got up onto his feet. "Fine, whatever," he grunted. "If you want to waste your time on me this bad, that's totally fine."

And as he followed her, he thought to himself, I bet if she knew what I was really thinking, she wouldn't care so much about me. His steps faltered, and his eyes widened. Well hey, wasn't that an idea? Smirking wryly, he looked to Nafsi and said, "As long as you're being so nice to me, do you know why I was being so nice to you at first? I wanted sex. That's all I ever wanted from you, all I ever want from any girl... sex. That's all they're really good for." He shrugged. "Besides that, I don't need anybody. I don't really care." Not that he'd made an especially good case for this today.

At his words her teeth clenched together. She swallowed to get the bitter taste out of her mouth. "I'm not surprised." The leopard replied dryly still walking forward and making sure he also continued on. Through her clenched teeth she spoke again "Just get in shade and I'll leave you alone, whatever you do after that is no concern of mine."

She kept her eyes forward not looking at the other very often, only enough to check on him. "The quicker you move the quicker I'm out of your hair."

Seeing Nafsi's countenance slowly darken in the face of the words the cheetah had spoken, Mashaka smiled softly to himself. How perfect. The truth was ugly. Nobody liked to hear the truth. Success was clearly at hand. She wasn't quite looking at him, so just to pester her, Mashaka tried sliding up beside her. "Works fine for me," he replied to her. He looked her up and down, then quipped, "You aren't that pretty anyway." He chuckled coldly and strutted along beside her as best he could with his stomach aching terribly.

To her second comment, he could only scoff, and impatiently responded, "Yeah, yeah, yeah! I'm coming!" Trotting along beside her, he was glad they both wanted this arrangement to be over just as badly.

Nafsi said nothing to the other, not wanting to give him anymore satisfaction from any of her reactions. After all now that he had shown his true, nasty and most importantly rude self she no longer cared about his opinion, yet she couldn't let him just sit, rot away and die. No that wouldn't be the right thing to do, even if he had been atrocious to her.

The female quickened her pace wanting to get this once pleasant turned sour meeting over with already. If he did something foolish and let himself die or killed once she left then it so be it, but as long as she could do something now she was going to. Her manners wouldn't let her otherwise. "Enough talking. Move!" She ordered not caring about what he'd say in response.

As much as Nafsi tried to mask her irritation and her growing impatience with the male cheetah, Mashaka saw right through it. He silence right now said more to him than he words ever could. She was done with her polite and proper pretenses. Mashaka chuckled under his breath; he might take great joy in this if it weren't for the fact that his stomach hurt so badly that he could barely limp alongside her now.

But there was a refuge up ahead; a single, solitary tree sat in the middle of the great, dry plain. Mashaka sighed. "Oh thank God," he groaned. "I'm moving, I'm moving!" he snapped back as Nafsi as he staggered towards what would now be his resting place. He collapsed readily as soon as his paws touched shade. "There," he grunted. "I'm in the shade. Are you happy now? Can you finally leave me alone?" He turned one satin eye upward at her and he figured he already knew her answer.

The leopardess walked beside him until he was in the shade and although she was ready to be rid of him she hesitated before taking a step backwards. Even though he had annoyed and angered her she didn't want to leave him on his own, but he wanted to be alone. That was clear. "Take care of yourself......" She turned an started to trot away. "Please." She added glancing back at him.

"After all no one deserves to die without a fight." That having been said she turned her head away and padded off not looking back again.

((Alright, that was such a beautiful closing line, I feel like anything I'd add would only detract from it. xd ))
