Max's ears perked up at the familiar voice and found the ever so familiar baseball cap "Hi Takao! Yuriko! Over here!"

As soon as they were seated, Max started to have a small conversation with Yuriko, but still slurping up some yakisoba "Which one? I know a lot of Strategy games? It could be that Role-playing game i told you about."

Then the blonde noticed two more familiar persons and gave a wave "Hello Tala, Diana".

Tala was already sitted next to Kai, but before giving a small "hello" and a wave, he took out a sandwich and a bottle of juice. He was used to packed lunches instead of buying food in the cafeteria. Waste of cash and he was still not use to Japanese cuisine.

Rei, seated next to the other side of Max, bought his own lunch. Steamed buns were always his favorite so he bought only a bottle of tea in the cafeteria to drink. Giving a "hello" to everyone, he went to eating his food. But not without talking to several.

Diana, seated next to Yuriko, bought a quick yakisoba bread and a bottle of tea. She liked fast filling foods best than a full meal. Looking over the crowd, she saw a table where almost all of the gang were and proceeded. Sitting next to Yuriko, the bread already inside her mouth, she gave a muffled "hello" followed by a wave of her hand.

Only to be scolded with a stern "Diana, don't talk with your mouth full". Diana groaned and took the bread off her mouth "There...are you...happy?". What she saw took her by surprise.

Miki was already carrying her own tray of food. It composed of her favorites: 3 tempura pieces, tempura udon (she doesn't like it to be dipped in the soup already), 8 pieces of sushi and 5 pieces of potato croquettes.

Diana's eyes went from startled to blank expressionless "Miki...isn't that a little too much?".

Miki just gave a bubbly smile "Nope. Not really" and sat next to her and went to eating her udon. Taking out the spoon, she went dipped to take out a very red and orangey liquid which she sup contently.

Diana carefully looked at the red soup and looked at her food. Her meal seemed ordinary enough but there was a red tinge on top of her noodles.Actually, all her meals had a tinge of red and orange. Her tuna maki had tempura flakes on top and had the powder on top of the wasabi. The tempura was also scattered with the red powder.

It could only mean one thing. Diana took a pair of chopsticks and another spoon and tried a tiny bite of all of Miki's food. And then her eyes widen. You could have seen the smoke coming out of her ears and mouth as she gurgled a bottle of water to calm down. Breathing out, she cried "What the heck is wrong with you!? You added chili flakes and pepper powder when it already has wasabi?"

Miki just blinked, without even nurturing the fact she ordered more food than everyone and the fact all of it had a hefty amount of chili flakes. They didn't bother her. She loved spicy food!

Diana muttered and went back to eating her Yakisoba roll. It was very well known Takao was the pig of the gang but Miki always seem to eat more than him and yet, she doesn't look like she gained a pound. In fact, she was as skinny as a stick! Strange, strange, strange...

"Yeah... I think it was that role-playing game you mentioned. It was around 2 weeks ago..." Yuriko replied.

When Diana came to the table, the ebony-haired girl returned her rather muffled greeting with a two-fingered salute - she gave them quite often when she felt like it, even though the gesture didn't seem to match her outward appearance, and then took another sip of her ramen. She greeted everyone else that came to the table as well - Tala, Kai, Rei, and then Miki.

But then, a few minutes later, at Diana's revelation that Miki had once again added chili flakes and pepper powder to her food, she had to cover up a laugh. It was rare to see the charcoal black-haired teen pull such a face, and that in itself was amusing.

Kai, too, had to restrain himself from chuckling a bit at what happened when Diana sampled the items on Miki's tray and found them all to be extra spicy. Should have known something like this would happen, he thought, a small smirk on his face as he watched Diana's attempts to cool off her burning tongue before sitting back down to try and enjoy her yakisoba bread.

Takao didn't seem to have any qualms about holding back, however. He was a bit surprised at first at the amount of food Miki had brought to the table, but he let out a hearty chuckle at Diana's 'predicament'. Still, he knew he shouldn't be laughing; he himself wasn't that partial to spicy food, and from the reddish tinge he could see on the slate-haired girl's food, she'd sprinkled on a lot of the chili flakes and pepper powder she liked so much. For the steel blue-eyed teen, spicy food was fine, as long as it wasn't too spicy. There were limits.

"Oh, yeah!" Takao suddenly burst out. "Guys, I was wondering... anyone up for like... an after-school snack together or something? Its been a while since we did anything as a group..."

----------------------------------

THUD!

Aelian bit back a grimace from banging her shoulder too hard against the inordinately hard tree trunk. She was pinned there by none other than the young warrior who'd struck her parents down, a lifetime ago when she was merely Aelian and not Guide Aelian, Herald of the Oracle-Priestess. There was no mistaking the emotionless features, the dark hair that framed the pale face, amethyst eyes that glimmered with a dark inner light.

"You're a slippery target, Aelian Zurea," Keiko said, tightening her grip on the older woman's neck, allowing herself a small smirk of satisfaction. "You're not much to look at, up close, and for all your cleverness in covering your tracks, you still aren't half the opponent I thought you'd be."

With her free hand, the purple-eyed fox-halfling brought several of the thicker branches curving down towards Aelian. She intended to trap her within the tree and then turn it into a flesh-eating creature designed to devour anything that came in touch with its branches. Her father had told her a rare tale of such creatures, known only to the Ancients and rumored to have died off. To be so entrapped in the grip of one such creature - being slowly torn apart almost invisibly - was to be a slow, agonizing death indeed. Keiko's smirk grew at this thought. Surely the Shadowed One would be delighted of such an addition to his growing army, if all went as planned.

How? the auburn-haired young woman thought even as she tried to free herself from her assailant's, and then the tree's - of all things, she was fighting off a tree! - grip. I should have heard her coming! Could I have been that in a hurry to make to Fioraln that I failed to take note of my surroundings?

When the first of the branches clamped onto her shoulder and the first shaft of pain ran down her arm, sea-green eyes widened as the Guide realized what was happening. She'd read of it only in the oldest accounts of Arkanna in her parents' library: ordinary-looking trees that sucked the life out of their victims merely by touch, and then devouring them, all the while causing extreme pain.

Then another branch, and yet another attached themselves to her, and she bit back a cry. She would not go down like this!

"Give up, elfin. You've read of this creature-"

How did she know?

"And you know that once trapped in its grip, there's no way to escape." Keiko smirked again, one of the few expressions she used quite frequently. "Best not to struggle; after all, the more you fight it, the more it hurts."

"I... know not how... you know of my upbringing, nor how you came to know of this Ancient creature..." Aelian ground out, clenching her fists. "But I can assure you, I'm not so easy a target as you first thought..."

Max slurped back another thick noodle "You mean 'Dragon Quest'? What do you need help with it then?"

When her tounge finally cooled off, Diana faced Tala, who was enjoying the last half of his sandwich. "Tala, can you knock some sense to your girlfriend? Her tastebuds is bound to kill somebody"

Miki was just just dipping the tempura into the soup and eating it until Diana emphasized the "girlfriend" part and her own cheeks flushed. Why can't Diana keep her mouth close sometimes? So embarassing...

Tala just smirked and swallowed the chunk of bread, lettuce, bacon, cheese and ham into his throat "Well, that makes her more attractive". With a calm face, he calmly bit on the bread and continued eating.

Rei, who was eating his buns, smiled. Almost everyone knew Tala and Miki were together. It was rather by accident since Kai and Tala were one of the popular guys who had secret fanclubs and admirers. One of Tala's fangirls saw them together and word got out of the school.

Miki was at first surrounded by jealousy fans, demanding the truth. But Tala came to the rescue and exposed to everyone it was, shocking many (most are his fans though.) Many hated Miki, because it was bad enough that she was treated like a little sister by Kai and now she was together with Tala.

But of course, due to Miki's friendly nature, many lost their anger and accepted the fact. But there were still some who still dislike the idea though. Oh well, Diana always had a way to leak out who and give them pranks.
PostPosted: Mon Aug 11, 2008 7:57 am

Kai, too, smirked at Tala's response, disguising it by taking a bite of his tempura. It was rare to hear the redhead say such a thing, really. But he wasn't surprised, even though he had to admit it had seemed strange somehow at first, Tala and Miki being together.

After sipping up the last of his miso soup, the slate-haired teen leaned back a bit; he wasn't one to rush through a meal, even though they only had around an hour to eat lunch. Unlike some people... he thought, eyes flickering over to Takao, who was as usual shoveling down mouthful after mouthful. It would have been amazing how, fast that guy could eat.. if it wasn't disgusting at the same time.
.

Yuriko had to smile at Tala's reply to Diana's prompting. It was a nice surprise, hearing the upperclassman make a comment like that. However, seeing Tala and Miki together made the ebony-haired teen think of relationships more than she was accustomed to. She wasn't planning on entering a relationship with anyone just yet. Still, she found herself wondering sometimes, what it was like to have a boyfriend.

Then she remembered that Max had asked a question, so she hastily replied. "No, it's not that I need help with the game itself. But I can't seem to find a copy of it..." She left the thought hanging. She didn't like having to borrow things from her friends, but this was one of the games she felt she could get into, and not being able to acquire her own copy was a bit frustrating.

"Well, you could have said so. I could lend you the CD of it or show you a link" Max muffled through a mouth full of noodles. He could order another bowl of noodles! Mayo is so good!

Miki was already finishing her sushi and croquettes until she heard a nasally voice and her head bowed low. It only meant one thing...

'Uwaki Ichako'...

The pretty light brown haired 17 yr old was rather haughty in attitude. Arrogant and very selfish to the core, she is notorious to always do whatever it takes to get what she wanted. And also a very noticeable flirt. Even her name "Ichako" meant "Flirt".

Ichako peered her bright green eyes to find the guy she had been trying to get the heart of. Tala Valkov. She particular was one of the people against his relationship with him and Kai. Part of it is Jealousy of having to talk to the two bishounens practically everyday and be a part of their group.

And she had been bullying Miki eversince the day Tala announced he was together with her. Most of them time, she didn't succeed. Putting thumbtacks into her shoes, stealing her clothes and replacing it with skimpy ones and pouring tar on her seat.Good thing Diana was there and fixed everything before Miki notices something. And then, here she is...trying to get fresh again.

Ichako sat to the left side of Tala, which was currently empty, and gave a fake smile "Hello Tala-kun. It's been a while since we met".

Tala groaned inwardly. The last thing he need was a slut who couldn't get it through her thick head that he was taken. Giving an equally fake smile, he turned his head "Hello Uwaki. And yeah, it's been a while". "And i hope not to meet for a very long time" thought Tala.

Ichako smiled and gleefully gave a triumphant glint at the blue-haired girl. Now she got him!! Giving back another smile "Soo...what are you doing after school? Maybe...we could spend some time together and-" But Ichako was interrupted by another girl.

Diana almost crushed the can of soda she bought from the Cafeteria and crushed it to little pieces at the sight that she saw. 'That little Uwaki is trying to get Valkov again...I need to teach her a lesson'

Walking over, she brushed aside Ichako, who angrily protested, she placed her foot on the seat and rested her elbow on her knee and she glared "Well, well. Look who we have here...Another Kiss-up".

Ichako was highly hurt but she stood her groun "How rude of you! I was talking to Tala and you think you could interfere our mutual conversation?!"

"Mutual? I was praying for you to go away and leave me alone..." thought a certain redhead

Diana smirked "Oh really, so him avoiding you for practically 3 weeks was mutual? It was clear that he wanted to bolt when you just showed up at his classroom, barging in without respect of privacy and that time where you just showed up with a cake, clown and a truckload of presents on his birthday. Really...have you seen him open it? I could practically see the box in the trash. Still not ripped open or what-so-ever".

Ichako was trembling. It can't be true! Tala will never cast away her gifts! She even got him a purple sweater! He loves Purple right? Or maybe...she only bought it because she thought it looked cute on her...

Ichako flipped her hair and crossed her arms "So what does that have to do with anything? It is clear to everyone that Tala and Kai, of all guys, will clearly never waste their time speaking to some daddy's girl!" and with that, she pointed at Miki, who was just bowing her head and eating her sushi.

Ichako grinned and continued to shout "She is only trying to be with Kai and Tala because she wanted to be popular, that's all there is. There is always a catch. She is the principal's daughter and then her boyfriend is one of the cutest guys in the school. She must have bribed Tala with good grades if he became her boyfriend."

But before Ichako coud utter another word, Diana already spilled a bowl of ramen and it's noodles and toppings onto her head, covering her with the sticky broth. "Aaah!! My hair and outfit! How dare you!?"

Diana already smirked and replied "Last time, you played a wax candle at the play. I didn't notice. Because i thought you were plastic".

A lot laughed at Diana's joke and Ichako was forced to retreat in tears of anger and embarassment.

Diana's joke didn't stop there. She secretly already placed a couple of more traps and she just needed to hear the musical note to confirm it. "AAAAAH!!" was heard throughout the lunchroom and Ichako was found with a bucket on her head, trashing and screaming because of the frogs that came down to her.

Diana placed a booby trap on her locker and she unleashed frogs hopping to her and it didn't help that she was covered with honey mixed with dead flies and insects which the frogs stuck their tounges out to catch. And then her shoes soles were cut out and she slipped towards the corridor and went running who knows where.

Diana smirked and continued eating her bread. Ichako got what she deserved. Besides...If anyone wants to piss her off, expect a very unlucky day to fall to you.

Rei blinked as his golden eyes followed the screaming girl. Everyone in the school knows better than to cross Diana. She practically knows every nook and cranny of the school and if you happen to be the target of anger, then you are in serious trouble.

Tala whistled lowly and gave a grin "Thanks Di. I thought i had to ask you to help me give ideas to how to make her go away"

Diana smirked back "You? Think of better pranks? Hah. I could teach you forever and you are still gonna be a novice". Noticing Miki's sullen expression, Diana gave a calm smile "Hey, don't worry about her Miki. She is just someone who can't accept disappointment in her life. Just tell me and I will always get her back on you."

Miki gave a smile back. She was lucky to have Diana by her side. Most girls who are targetted by populars are always treated like losers. But Diana was there to protect her, so was Tala. And all of her friends. Even her Oniichan (even if they weren't really related). So her heart returned back to her chest and she finished her sushi to get on with her croquettes.

That was rather long..Wanted to write a long one and then Kana told me to write a slut in...so you know..one thing lead to another.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 12, 2008 9:06 am

Yuriko gave a sheepish grin. "Thanks, Max. The link should be fine."

She went back to eating her ramen, but then nearly spit the mouthful she'd just taken back out when she heard a certain, sugary-sweet - and most unwelcome - voice.

Uwaki Ichako. A junior, like Miki, Kai, and Rei. And a girl who could not leave well enough alone. Oh, no... the ebony-haired teen groaned inwardly. Not her...

Kai had to put his chopsticks down for the second time when he heard Uwaki's voice. Especially, when the idiot started bad-mouthing Miki. True, she called him 'Oniichan' even though they weren't related; still, Kai couldn't help but feel sometimes that Miki was his sister. The slate-haired teen couldn't stand people who thought themselves as the center of the universe. He also couldn't stand people who bad-mouthed someone he cared about, in a familial sense. To have the combination of those two so near him - and getting fresh with Tala! - was like holding a stick of dynamite in a room filled with gasoline and explosives.

Unfortunately - or should that be 'fortunately? - Diana stepped in, and sent the girl running. The tension flew from the maroon-eyed student's muscled, and he relaxed in his seat once more, barely able to hold back a chuckle at the predicament Uwaki had gotten herself in.

"Nice one, Diana." he commented, smirking in glee. Cruel though it was to find joy in another person's er... suffering, he couldn't help but think the girl deserved it.

Takao, too, was laughing, although less discreetly than anyone else at the table. The round-faced boy, although annoying in his own way, had a knack for pinpointing on sight the people one was better off not knowing. Uwaki was one such example. The minute he'd laid eyes on her, he'd known the girl meant trouble of one sort or another. And events had proved him right - particularly events that had to do with Tala and Miki's relationship.

"Oh, man! Did you see her run?" he said, wiping tears of laughter from his eyes. "She looked like a dog that just learned to walk on its hind legs!"

At this, Yuriko let out a snort, but quickly clamped a hand over her mouth. She'd been laughing discreetly, but Takao's comment on the way Uwaki ran just made her crack up. It didn't really look like that to her, but the way the steel blue-eyed teen described it was a bit funny. Not to mention she had a flash of Uwaki with a pug's head.

Max blinked as his head followed the screaming girl and slurped the noodle hanging by his mouth. He knew Ichako by being the one who always tries to bully Miki behind everyones back. She was unbearable. As much as he dislike Diana for being mean, Ichako deserved it for bad-mouthing cruel insults to Miki. Slurping another noodle, he gave a muffled "Ok" and went to finish his meal.

Rei chuckled at Takao's joke. Even he couldn't help but laugh at both Diana's sarcasm and Takao's comments. "Well, she will be very sticky in class later. Good thing we aren't her classmates, huh Kai?"

Tala finished his sandwich and gave a smirk to Diana "Hey, a guy could try anyway." Pausing to drink the last of his juice, he continued "But seriously, that was a little extreme than the last time you pranked her. What did you do? Oh yeah, you placed a cup of yellow soda in front of her club door and then when you pulled the string, it splashed to her skirt and underwear." Pausing to snicker "She looked like she peed badly!"

Diana gave a cocky smile "Well, it was to get back for putting caterpillars in Miki's pencil case." But then her red eyes went from bright to dark and her lips formed a thin, grim line "I had enough of her sorry a** face always bullying my best friend. For every insult she made, i plan to make her suffer."

Standing up, she formed a sharp 180 "One way or another, even if i am going too far...I won't forgive her for almost attempting to do that former incident to Miki." Glaring heatedly, she growled "She wants popularity? I'll give it to her....My way". And without another word, Diana walked away, her charcoal hair swaying behind her back.

Tala blinked his bright blue eyes as his female classmate went away, her eyes full of hatred. He knew that Diana was annoyed by Uwaki but he never knew that she would be this angry. Sighing, he faced to talk to Miki, but he was greeted with a frightened face

Miki's face was clearly masked by another personality. Normally, the blue-haired girl was cheerful and rarely sad. But this one is new. She was absolutely frightened. Her deep brown eyes slitting in worry, her lower lip being tucked inside her mouth, her shoulders shaking and her hands trembling.

Her eyes looked like it could well up and she looked like she is about to break down any minute. But she was silent and strong, trying to get the tears out of the way. She never told anyone about that incident. Not even Tala. Not even Kai. No one. Because she never wanted to trouble them. Not her friends.

This might be a little too much but because of all the Hell Girl Videos. I kind of think i want to insert a really good problem because i wanted to make Diana go out of school and then...well..whatever. I just hope this is acceptable.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 13, 2008 8:06 am

Kai, still smirking a bit, just nodded in response to Rei's comment. When Diana's eyes darkened and she mentioned this 'former incident', though, any mirth left from Uwaki's predicament was forgotten.

What former incident?

At Diana's statement, Yuriko sat up straighter, instatnly alert. In the short time she'd known the charcoal-haired upperclassman, the hazel-eyed sixteen-year-old knew that when Diana got like that, it never boded well for the target of her ire.

When she glanced at Miki for to question her about what Diana had said, what Yuriko saw silenced her in a split-second. She'd never seen the slate-haired girl so... overwhelmed. Instinctively, she reached out, patting the older teen's hand gently.

"...Miki? What... what is it?"

Takao, too, was concerned now. He put his chopsticks down - he was just about done with lunch, anyway - and leaned forward a bit. "Yeah, Miks," he said steel blue orbs worried. "What happened? What's Di talkin' about?"

Miki's head bowed low "...It was a day after the Sport's Festival. I won that race for girls that she and I both were in and also that obstacle race. She didn't like to take her loses very lightly. So she asked some guys to try and hurt me before the final event so i wont be able to join. I was just lucky Diana was there and she beat them up for me.

They were wielding some knives, prior to what Uwaki-san told them to do. Knowing Diana, she demanded who it was and they spilled, out of fear i guess. Diana never forgotten that day and vowed to get even with her. Even if it meant doing the same to her, Diana doesnt mind being expelled from school. Toosan already asked her about it and told her, he will just handle her.

But Diana wouldn't take that for an answer and vowed to get revenge. She holds grudges very seriously and will not rest until she is satisfied that Uwaki-san is finally taken down for always bullying me."

Rei couldn't believe what he just heard. He knew the brunette was always bullying Miki but he didn't know she could be that angry at her for merely dating Tala.

Max's bright blue eyes widen. "You...sure about that Miki? You're not joking at all?"

At the mere shake of her head, Tala already was seething with anger. His clenched fists tightened. Never had he knew that someone would be so despicable! But what made him sadden is that Miki never told him. But knowing the blue-haired girl, she will never want to trouble him with her problems.
PostPosted: Thu Aug 14, 2008 9:01 am

Hearing this, just now, made Takao's eyes go wlightly wider than usual. His mouth hung open, too.

"...no way."

It was one of the rare times the exuberant, outgoing lad was rendered speechless, and with good reason. Uwaki struck him as the very disagreeable type, but he'd never have guessed just how 'disagreeable' the upperclassman could be.

Just because Miki and Tala ended up together, and just 'cause she doesn't like losing...

Yuriko, meanwhile, had slumped back in her seat in disbelief. "They... actually had knives?" She'd never heard of anything so ridiculously low as that, having other people carry out one's own dirty work and basically assaulting an unarmed person.

Just like Tala, Kai stayed silent. His face was a blank slate, devoid of emotion for the moment. Inwardly, however, he was seething. Of all the idiotic, underhanded... Knowing that Diana had been there to help was a bit of a relief, but he couldn't help wishing that he himself had been there as well.

He sighed inaudibly, ran a hand through his slightly unruly slate-blue bangs. "Miki, I know you don't like bothering other people with your problems, but this was serious."

"Why didn't you tell us sooner? We could have done something to help," Yuriko added, leaning forward to take Miki's hand in hers again, a reassuring gesture - kind of strange, since Miki was older than she. But that mattered little to the ebony-haired teen. "I mean, isn't that part of what friends should do - help each other out?"

"Yeah," Takao, having found his voice again, chimed in. "No need to keep it to yourself, Miks. 'sides, I think Di could use some kind of backup every now and then."

Miki gave a small smile to Yuriko and the smile turned into an apologetic, sad frown. "I'm sorry. I just wanted to forget that time so i decided not to talk about it. But when i couldn't get rid of the memory, i thought...I won't bother you with it anymore."

Miki took her hand off Yuriko to roll up her left sleeve. Rolling it up until the elbow, there revealed a long faint scar reaching from the near tip of her wrist until the crease of the skin on her elbow joint stopping before a vein.

Max blinked his blue eyes several times to take in what was being narrated to him. "Miki...well...Just..next time you are in danger..Please tell all of us. Not just Diana finding out for herself which seems lucky and strange, I mean, she is always the first to know whenever you are in danger."

Tala, his anger couldn't be contained anymore, banged his fists on the table. But managed to breath out a calm sigh "I guess Diana will be planning another one later. The usual pranks she does is when someone pissed her off. Usually if it's Uwaki she is targetting, she only does it for fun or if she really did piss her off. Now...it really is personal".

Clenching his white knuckles, his lips formed a thin line "I hope Diana will let me in with her future plans. I want to get back at the b***h as much as I can".

Rei was calm but he was also trying to contain his anger. But the train of thought was disturbed by his redhead friend. He could understand his feelings. His girlfriend was in danger and he never even knew.

Rei gave a small smile to Miki "I agree with Takao. Diana is bound to get a lot more trouble if we don't help her. It doesn't need to be a major part but we want to help you as well.

Kai and I are your classmates and Diana is in the upperclass. Surely we provide more closer contact to you than she does. Besides..." Grinning a catlike smile, he continued "I doubt no one would want to get near Kai with his similarities to Diana's temper..and knowing Uwaki to always jumpship between Kai and Tala..."
PostPosted: Fri Aug 15, 2008 8:00 am

Hearing Tala's declaration, Kai nodded in assent. He, too, wanted a part in putting Uwaki in her place. Especially since the girl was constantly undecided - first she'd be going for Tala, and then the next day, him! And over and over again, a cycle.

For the most part, though, after his initial 'outburst' - if one could call it that - he kept quiet. Mainly because others had already expressed themselves and it tied in with his own concerns, but also because there was nothing more to be said, aside from what had already been.

When Miki revealed the scar she bore from the incident she'd just narrated, it seemed Takao couldn't take his eyes off it. He'd seen people get injured a few times before, but that big a cut... rather, knowing it had been that big... it was something different. Especially since it had happened to a friend.

"Don't forget Diana's not the only one who packs a punch," the steel blue-eyed teen added when he finally averted his gaze from the long, thin, whitish line up Miki's forearm. "Yuriko's in the martial arts club - and school team - along with Diana. And I know how to handle a bokken pretty well, too!"

Yuriko playfully punched Takao's shoulder, as though saying "Watch your ego!". Still, she willed herself to smile reassuringly. "Don't worry about it, Miki. You're not 'troubling' us by telling us all this and asking for help or whatever. Its when you do the opposite - keep things secret and all - that you trouble us, because we're never sure of how you're doing."

The classes pass as Rei, Max, Miki, Diana and Tala went to their respective classrooms. Rei kept looking at both the slate-haired classmates of his. Miki was clearly still worried of her hidden secret.

Tala was watching for Dian but it was clear to the redhead that the charcoal layered haired female was not in the mood to talk in class. Same for Max who was all alone. He wanted to think about the problem but he wouldn't risk being called and not being able to answer.

Tala was quietly waiting outside the broadcasting room. It was Miki's turn to broadcast the school announcements and to also say the Dismissal. She was part of the Broadcasting Club since she was fluent in speaking in speeches. But his moment of quietness was interrupted with another familiar nasally voice that sent his features to darken.

Ichako finished her newly clean brown hair. She managed to buy a new uniform and get some new shoes and had her hair clean from the honey. It was rather annoying of how a certain upperclassman kept pulling pranks on her and then never got in trouble because there was no evidence.

Is the principal as dense as his daughter or what?! But then her anger was subsided when she saw one of the objects of her affection. Her smile went back up and she was already skipping to the halls "Tala-kun! I'm back!!"

Stopping in delight, she noticed Miki was nowhere in sight and decided to make her move, "Tala-kun, I--" She was interrupted by the slate-haired girl coming out of the Broadcasting room and she was filled with hatred once more. But she smirked in victory. Diana had club practice. So that meant she was free to make Miki look bad so Tala can be hers! Brilliant!

"So Miki, why are you here in the Broadcasting room? Ready to say that you are the kiss-up, pathetic, daddy's girl to the entire school?" Then she tossed her head and laughed. But she was only interrupted by the harsh growl of a male.

Tala had enough of her nasally voice and just growled and bared his fang like teeth. Seeing the girl cower and then asked "Tala-kun, what has gotten into you?" His features were already darkening ever minute.

She clearly is acting stupid. Leaning with his threatening glare and whispering darkly, "I never hit a woman. But there is a first time for everything if you try to get eve near Miki or me. Get it...Slut?". Grabbing Miki's hand, who was speechless the entire time, he led her out of the corridor and down the stairs, leaving the brunette girl with her mouth open in shock.

"Hey, Chief! Wait up!"

The dark brown-haired teen who introduced himself merely as "Kyouju" turned at the sound, knowing full well who the speaker - or should that be 'shouter'? - was.

Sure enough, Sumeragi Daichi ran up, school bag flying behind him, as was his dark red hair. They were a sight in junior high, to be sure. The exuberant, loud, hyperactive emerald-eyed Daichi; and quiet, studious, bookish Kyouju - or "Chief" as his friends were wont to call him sometimes.

"Hello, Daichi," the bespectacled student greeted. The two of them were both in their senior year at Shinsengumi Junior High, but were in different classes and as such, could only get together when school let out of the day. This was also around the same time they went to meet Takao and the others.

Sorry I made ya wait," the redhead was saying, adjusting the strap on his bag; it had come loose during his run. "I had classroom clean-up duty." Here, he made a disgusted face. "Bleah. I hate clean-up duty..."

Of all his schoolmates, Daichi was perhaps the most restless, keener to tackle physical education classes than classroom discussions. True, he managed the academic part of school, but it didn't mean he cared much for it. And by his own admission, cleaning was the one physical activity he'd rather not undertake.

Kyouju adjusted his glasses - one could only guess where his eyes were, really, for the long sweeping bangs that hid them from sight - and kept walking. "It's all right, Daichi. I didn't wait that long, y'know. Besides, if you had clean-up duty, it's not your fault."

"Oh, and there was something else!" Green eyes widened with that remembered detail, and he dug into the pocket of his cool gray uniform pants. Moments later, he held out something, waiting for his brown-haired companion to take it.

Kyouju did so, and stood still, examining the object he held in his palm. His peripheral vision told him Daichi was peering at it, too. It was dark green in color, as green as pine tree needles, and twice as long as it was wide. The top end - or what seemed to be the top end - was rounded, while the 'bottome' was flat. In the middle, a strange, quite angular open polygon was engraved. The stone itself seemed to give off a comforting, earthy coolness, different from the slowly-decreasing temperature one experienced when dusk approached.

The bespectacled teen studied the stone with its engraving, then turned his attention to Daichi. "where did you find this?"

The redheaded teen shrugged, looking as puzzled but curious as Kyouju felt. "I found it in the chalk box when I was cleaning it out. No one knew what it was, so I thought I'd ask you." Here, Daichi's face became expectant; whenever he had a question, it was almost guaranteed that Kyouju had the answer. "So? You know what it is?"

"I'm afraid I've never seen something like this, either," Kyouju replied, handing the stone back. "But maybe Takao and the others might know. C'mon, we can ask them."

((OOC://Di, its still just the two of us. Dang. And uh... when're you planning for Max and Rei to find their stones? ))

"One order of Pork Dumplings, Century Eggs with Asparagus and some Fried Rice!", "Crab Soup for Table 12 and the Vegetables are getting cold here!"

It was rather a hustle to live on top of a busy restaurant. But that's how Rei was used to. He even acted a waiter to pass the time. "Rei! Take this Spring Rolls to Table 6 and pronto! They might get furious". Rei replied with a loud "ok" and went to hurry to get the plate.

Max was enjoying an ice cream walk home until around the corner of his eye was a gleaming light. Biting on the cone, he look and saw a cat biting on something blue. "Hello kitty cat, what have you got there?" he said reaching out his hand. The cat, like he somehow understood, opened it's mouth to reveal what he had.

It was a dark blue oval shaped stone. But it was facing on a horizontal side and it had a weird swirl on one end of the line and ended to look like a tadpole. It felt like he was close to the ocean and he was hearing the silent, rippling waves of the clear, crystal waves. He felt somehow peaceful upon finding the stone. Pocketing it, he continued his way home.

Heaving the last black bag hurled out, Rei wiped his forehead clean from sweat. It was another one of those rush hour days where there were a lot of hungry customers and some had reservations. Sitting on an empty box crate, he went to take a rest. But not without discovering something glistening.

Taking out several boxes, crates and bags, he finally got what he saw through the tiny hole. His golden eyes widened. It was a pale green stone. It was shaped like a tear drop and on the front was a darker green, engraved line symbol that looked like a lightning bolt. Reaching for the stone, his fingers curled on the stone and he took it out to examine.

It was rather giving his finger tips a strange chill when he touched it. Like the stone was giving off some kind of static energy. He better not tell anyone about before trying to find out for himself what it was exactly.

So it would seem. But might as well ask if any one even comes to the Guild.
