Interesting episode to say the least, not my fav but still decent.

Just watched the preview for the next episode - is it me or is the Doctor suddenly going through a lot of pain as of now, it's kinda like the writers enjoy watching David writhe in pain/torture the Doctor...

Just occurred to me...

Once again, the Doctor is wearing his blue suit. Once again, he nearly dies. I definitely see a pattern developing!! lol

OMG! The blue suit is trying to kill him!

Burn the suit, BUUUUUURN IT!

I'm not gonna say I didn't like it because I like all Doctor Who, but it could have been batter. There were some good bits though, like Tenants action scene when he was flinging himself out of the spaceship trying to hit the switch thingys to remagnetise the escape pod.

The main reason it was a bit of a disappointment for me was because I thought that captain jack was back in that episode..... and he wasnt.... stare

I thought it was really really good.

In my opinion:
Good pionts:
- real time
- the Doctor being scaired
- Martha and her mum
- the Doctor being possest
- DT acting
- how sad it was when the captin killed herself and her husband when she didn't need to.

Bad pionts:
- Far, far too much like the impossible planet
- Even with history lessons how is anyone that far in the future going to know about 20th century music
- Martha suddendy knowing how to work that machine
- the blue suit
- why did the people with the sun in them put on those gas mask type things?
- Jack not comming back!
- phone tapping cos not even the police can do it, only GCHQ and MI whatever-it-is -terrorsts and stuff, but why is the Doctor suddenly that important? I know it's to do with saxon but still really annoyed me.

Overal, I thought it was a very good episode and it made me want to be 6 so i'd be scared by it.

I noticed that too, but then the Doctor was always in pain and/or mortal danger.

I liked the phone tapping stuff, I mean, with Harold Saxon, who knows what he can do?

Is series overall is still abit of a disappointment to me, but I quite liked this episode.

having it in realtime confused me at the start, as they were rambling too fast and never really understood what the hell was going on for abit.

However, it had alot of cliches and seemed to be quite like the impossible planet/the satan pit, but I had already expected that when I saw trailers for it.

I don't like the fact that these darth vader/cyclops/sun creature/posseser things were walking slowy, as most evil things do nowadays, because to be honest it doesn't really add any 'scary' effect to me or many other people I imagine. I would have much prefered if they ran around, I mean its a sun creature FFS! surely it would have lots of energy?!

DT's acting was rather impressive, and is possibly the only reason I liked this episode. And I quite liked the silence when martha and the doctor were being seperated.

I didnt like the 'quick-fix' ending, once again.

CANNOT wait until next week, I have been counting down until THAT two-parter for quite a while now xd

Yeah, but I do think that they went over-the-top on this episode... Sure I do agree that the Doctor is always in a position of danger/peril but since the beginning of season3 the Doctor has kinda had a death wish...

I

- why did the people with the sun in them put on those gas mask type things?

Well, judging from the way they went around vaporising people I'd say they can't open their eyes without letting forth a stream of solar tastiness. The gas-masks were presumably sunblockers used by the crew to prevent them from going blind when they go round mining into the hearts of suns or whatever it was they did. The monsters presumably used the visor's effect to allow them to see normally a la the X-Men's own Cyclops >.>

I like the Cyclops analogy, it makes sense.

Didn't like the episode, though. As many have said (even though their plots are different) it still somehow felt like a retread of The Impossible Planet. And I don't think the 'real-time' aspect of the episode worked very well, since all it meant a lot of scenes of people running around.

What I did like is how they're handling the Saxon build-up. Unlike the crappy, mostly random references we had for Torchwood last year, Mr. Saxon is already being hinted as a powerful politician who knows who the Doctor is, doesn't like him, and is setting things in motion to oppose him (so far, largely through Martha's mother). I'm interested in how this all plays out.

Next week's episode looks promising.

Question: What happened to Wilson/Watson/Whatever his name was, who Corwyn possesed with the sun crap?

He got put in the stasis chamber then it was just empty.

They just forgot about him, then realised so didn't include him in confidential in the hope that people would forget? Or what?

The rest was good. It was very like impossible planet. But IP/SP were two of the best DW episodes i have seen.

I just read the poll again... Why is the Abzorbaloff no. 2? Why? Just why?

WHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHY?

The abzorbaloff FAILED.

There are no words to describe the rant i would use to vent how much i hated that episode.

And i couldn't rant it in the first place, because there aren't the descriptive words i need to use.
