Alora hesitated for a minute before climbing onto his shoulders gingerly. She hoped she wasn't to heavy, when actually on the contrary, she was quite light. Light as a feather, you might say.
"Is it okay?" She asked worriedly. If she was too heavy for him, she'd climb down.

Valens shifted before standing back up quite easily, "Of course its ok, we horses were meant to carry people around." He joked, Alora weighed very little he was sure he could carry ten of her... well if he had a way of doing so at least.
"Alright! Lets try two people tall basketball." He said, getting one of the balls and held it up so that she could take it.

Alora remained silent, not knowing what to reply to that comment. To her, it seemed that having to do menial labour was rather...cruel to horses, but on the other hand, they really were quite strong. She was scared that if she said something wrong, she might insult him.
She took the ball, aimed and threw at the basket. To her surprise, the ball sunk neatly through the hoop. "We did it!" She exclaimed.

Valens gave a clap of his hands before whistling in delight, "That was a great shot!" He said, see all she needed was a better view of the basket and she was able to do really, really well! He grab hold of the next ball. There were five total they were allowed to throw so this one would be the third, two more to go after this.

Alora laughed. It was really fun and she wasn't a bit nervous at all! "Why don't you throw next?" She suggested. It wouldn't be nice of her to hog the ball.

"Ahhh, gonna put me on the spot I see." He said, laughing as he looked up at the hoop, aimed and tossed the ball. He couldn't help but laughing that much harder when it of course bounced off the rim and then away making him totally miss the basket. Way to look cool in front of a girl he thought to himself then reached out to scoop up the last ball, "Wanna throw the last one? Or shall I?"

Alora smiled, and laughed along as she watched the ball bounce off the rim. "Why don't we throw it together then?" She suggested.

Valens nodded and held it up so that she could put her hands on it as well, they would throw the ball together though that would be a most interesting feat to try. He'd never thrown a ball with the help of another which meant aim was going to be a little bit harder, "Ready?" He asked of her, smiling.

Alora grinned and reached her hands down to place them on the ball. "Ready!" She exclaimed. Well, this would be interesting.
...It wasn't long however, when Mereneth had realised that his sister was gone. The boy threaded himself through the crowd, yelling. "Alora! Oi! Where are you?" Spotting the girl ontop of Valens(which wasn't exactly hard), he made his way over to them.

Valens waited for her hands to be placed on the ball then together the two of them gave it a toss, then with a 'swish' it went into the basket. The horse gave a huge grin then, "Awesome! That was a great two person shot!" He said, tail swishing rapidly in excitement.
His ears turned to the side first the the rest of him followed when he heard a voice calling out the bird girl's name, "Friend of yours?" He asked, looking up at Alora. He wanted to make sure she knew him before handing her over, might be a stranger after all.

Alora smiled as she watched the ball go into the basket. "That it was." She agreed, ruffling her feathers happily.
"Hmm?" The girl blinked, then spotted the red-haired boy marching over to them with a furious look on his face. "Oh, that's my brother." Oh great, she was going to be in for a lecture.
"How come you went off by yourself with a stranger?" Mereneth didn't bother to introduce himself, he simply glared up at his little sister. He was rather protective of her...ever since Gywn's disappearance.
"He's from D-Corp too." Alora explained quietly, fluttering down from Valen's shoulders.

Valens ears twitched and he shifted on his feet, theother guy looked pretty put out didn't he? He supposed that in hindsight wandering off with Alora without telling him may have been a bad idea but still... wasn't as if they were doing anything bad?
"We were just playing some games." He said, getting the tickets they'd won from the basketball game and his bag. The bag was slung over his shoulder and the tickets were held out to Alora, "My name is Valens."

Alora shuffled unhappily. She didn't like to see her brother angry...especially if it was because of her. She vaguely remembered a time when he had shouted at her. Mereneth had a bad temper. Perhaps it was the fire thing, but Mom was a fire mage, and she didn't have the size of HIS temper. "I'm...sorry." She ventured softly. "You were busy playing...I didn't want to disturb you." Eyelids lowered, the girl looked sorely remoresful and the boy's heart softened.
"Don't do that again." He replied, narrowing his orange eyes at her. "Well, uh, Valens, thanks for taking care of my sister." If Alora said she knew this boy, who was he to intefere?
The dove's eyes widened at the outstretched tickets and backed away slowly. "Oh, I can't." It was his money, so it was his tickets. It was only fair, right?

Valens gave a bright smile, "I don't mind at all, was a lot of fun to get to hang out with Alora." He said then looked over at the Dove girl as she refused the tickets. He tilted his head to the side, thoughtful, "Well you did help me win them so... how about half? I think that would about right."
He counted the tickets up and then tore along the lines in the middle holding half the tickets out which would give her six, "Next time we play it can be your quarter then we will be even."
He didn't mind the money, after all his pockets had a lot of quarters in them. He carried them for games, drinks, and snacks all of which came from various machines that ate the coins.

Mereneth gave him a brief smile. Still, he was fuming inwardly. It was likely he would go home and burn set yet another plant on fire to vent his frustrations.
It is fair this way. Alora mused as she watched him tear the tickets. "Thank you." She said with a smile. Next time, she would bring some money when she ventured out of the house. She definitely would like to see Valens again.
