Wake up, darling.....heh heh...
Hey, man...shut up, she's waking up...go!
Damnit....
Huh...? Who were these voices? Where...ugh...where were you?
Without opening your eyes, you knew that the room you were in was far too bright, and that you were laying on your back, for whatever reason...
God, your head killed...

Amanda groaned and squinted her eyes.
Jesus, everything was so damn bright, she could barely keep her eyes open for more than a second at a time.
Her head was throbbing; all she could remember was Jona, elephants and feeling the rush of sleep over her as she fell to the floor.
She tried to move.

[You do know that the 'elephant' thing was you slowly blacking out and becoming nonsensical, right?]
Ugh....nope. No motion. Nothing was holding you down, as far as you could tell...but your whole body felt...paralyzed. Everything. The table was sucking you in....
As your eyes adjusted to the huge spotlight overhead, you noticed that the chalk-white room was actually quite bare. All you could see was white...
Walls, light, and ceiling. Nothing more.
Sheesh, who was the interior decorator around here?

[Yess, I do know that, but sometimes people remember what they see in their subconcious, take dreams for example, smartypants! wink ]
Amanda looked at her right hand; it was lifeless, and she used all the strength she had to try to move it. It barely twitched.
She tried opening her mouth, it was a little easier than moving her limbs, but she couldn't make any comprehendable noises.
She tried to holler for some help.
All that came out was "AFGgggg"

[No, I was just hoping you didn't think they bore a great significance.]
She recognized Jona's voice immediately.
Hello, child. Welcome to the Maze. Being such a...nice guy, I've decided to help you gain a little insight into yourself during your long stay at Subania. You may play my little game, if you wish. I suggest you do. You'll find that many of the rooms you continue to weave your way through...have certain time limits on this one.
The kind that are crucial to your survival.
There will be a clue to each puzzle, and if you solve them all, we may just meet again, perhaps for more negotiation? We'll see in due time. But, I have more patients to attend to. Sorry for the rude awakening.
...Your clue is Air.
And he was ********, s**t...this was so weird.

Oh god, a maze?? Amanda was never good at games.
She tried to focus. She had no choice but to go along with his game. She'd rather lose her pride than her life.
She could feel the feeling start to come back in her arms as she thought about her first clue.
Air?
Hmm...what was so special about the air? With her right arm, she swung at the air with the little strength she had.
Air, it was so simple, yet so important. Maybe she had to manipulate the air? And if so, how?

The swipe didn't work, sadly.
How to manipulate air was right...

[HAHAHA.....]
She had to try something, anything. Concentration...that was the key. At least, that's how this magic stuff worked in the movies. And if she could fly...well, maybe this air stuff had something to do with it. At least, there was no way she was growing wings anytime soon.

It was the table. She could feel it sucking her in and leaving her motionless. She had to do something, anything.
She blew into the air. She felt the air leave her, and as she inhaled again, she felt her lungs expanding. Could she focus all her might into the air? Could she try to control it?
She looked directly above her, and eventhough she couldn't physically see the air around her, she concentrated on moving the air. Moving it under her.
Yes, she was officially desperate.

Now things were getting weird. She was starting to already think outside the box, and it was paying off. Apparently, the table was not only sticking her body to it. It was also analyzing changes in her body and mind.
It had to be. For, as soon as she began moving on to this plane of thought, she heard a faint bell ring inside the room.
With it, a sound clip.
Hello again. How are you feeling? Moreover, how are you thinking...? Your body will only do what your mind tells it to...
How was she thinking...it had to do with the mind somehow...but what? What could she focus on mentally to pull this thing off?

Amanda tried focusing on the air around her.
[I really don't know what else.]

To focus...to center one's mind...
This is a difficult little trick to pull. Most of us can only concentrate, in spotted frequency, for about 30 seconds at a time...
Truly concentrate.
Meditation helps, increasing times to about 1-4 minutes. Hypnosis can further this insular thought even more.
Her mind began to clear...but to focus, she had to pinpoint an idea...before her patience ran out, what would this be?
