"Ima sit down now" said Zak before slumping onto the ground and leaning against a brightly colored wagon, it had a long swash of red now. wagon thats interesting, seems solid too oh no not these people heard stories about them, the "travelers", the roaming people. magic and dancing around at night with out your clothes on. that I could live with, he thought, but then they turn you into a deer or a rabbit or something then kill you and eat you,and its not even cannibalism because by the time you're meat you're not even human. anymore Zak had a panic moment, he would have jumped up in the air and run as fast and as far away as was humanly possible on a disc shaped planet (Zak was not particularly well schooled) but he couldn't move. he flailed a little crossed his arms infront of himself, his legs were deffinately not co-operateing. they just wanted to lay there, deserters, what have I ever done to you?he thought. stifleing a scream into more of a muffled "mmufaaaugh" sort of noise.

Hinoicarri Tamlin laughs at the portly womans statement. "yes of course, we of short stature must have ways to announce our presence for sure. I would gladly join you at the next fire for some entertainment. now i dont suppose i could join you during your walk? my companion, while kind in offering me his house, seems to be rather noisy when asleep." Menelie Caroline laughs at Tamlin's appropriate comment. "Of course ye may join us. We love the company." She hopes she speaks for Voltaire and Annjette, but they'd seemed to like the woman as well as she. She's rather curious about Tamlin's companion. She looks at the wagon she'd gestured to. Caroline had certainly never seen this moss-covered wagon before, but new people had turned up all over since the festivals at Tempranillo. Voltaire smiled and nodded, "The more at the campfire the merrier." The half-elf stated cheerfully, he looked up a moment and then nodded again, "and of course you may join us. We are going wherever our feet take us today. The sky is the limit."
The swan-girl smiled brightly, "Yes! Please join us! Where were you before you joined up with us? Can you tell me any stories?" she seemed eager to hear of things from outside the caravan no matter how miniscule the stories may seem to the tale teller.
Annjette and Voltaire, of course, catch a glimpse of Rojiza (and the sleeping Vana). The half-elf smiles and nods back and Annjette nearly takes off after the squirrel-teen and her cousin but remains firm at her father's side but she does fidget while awaiting Tamlin's response.

tamlin smiled and nodded her appreciation at the two adults and then bent down to properly address Annjette.
"well, i was traveling alone before this, but my family and i originally from an island a looong ways away called Ireland. i bet one of these days if you came over to our wagon i could tell you stories."

Rojiza looks imploringly at her mother. Take this incoherent...thing off my hands. I obviously can't do anything for him. She shifts Vanna's weight again and heads back for the wagon.
Caroline is mildly alarmed as the broad young man slumps against a wagon and leaves a streak of coppery-red. Blood! Caroline disentangles herself from the conversation with Tamlin and Voltaire and goes over to him. "Ye look a sorry sight," she says bluntly. "Whot happened to ye?"

"oh my" Tamlin exclaimed as she watched Caroline go inspect what the girls had found. "well, it appears something has found its way to us. i suspect we should put off the walk and go help this poor man out, he seems to need it."
Tamlin walked over to the man, he was indeed in a lot of trouble, battered up the way he was. she knelt down next to the stammering man.
"ello hun, you are a mess, but no worries, these people are good at taking care of those of us who are in a might bit o' trouble"

She looks around at those assembled. "Anna-one 'ave a spare bed or floor in their wagon? I s'pose I could put 'im up with me 'n Ro, but with all the bloody birds we 'ave there isnae much room left."

"Och," says Caroline, thinking. "There're a few who've only got themselves and a son or daughter. Ki, perhaps, or Emelyn." She looks at the wagons that are pulled around and frowns, trying to recount who resides in each. "Ki, I think," says Caroline. "Ye'll like her, lad. She's a good strong woman."

After a few days of wandering in circles around the outskirts Port Tempranillo, Samir had to admit to himself that he was horrible and directions. What little he knew of the stars wasn't helping much, since he was usually too tired at night to get the constellations right. Much as he wanted to be self-sufficient in the world, he conceded to the need to join a caravan, if only for a little while. Living was a greater need for he and Reem than to be saddened by what they may find there.
So imagine his surprise when he finally spotted a caravan in his wanderings. With people out and about, no less! He spurred Sal on at his fastest speed (which wasn't much more than the plod he was already going at), causing the old, rickety wagon to shiver even moreso. If the rattling wood didn't announce their arrival, then Samir's hearty greeting surely would have.

Ki came bustling around the corner of the wagon nearest to Zak. She was a large woman who walked with purpose. Her hair was red, held back in one long no-nonsense braid, and her dress was simple blue with one reddish sash around her waist. There really wasn't much gypsy-like about her, but she did have a small child tucked under one arm. As she rounded the corner it became apparent that the child was unprotesting, but hanging all four limbs straight down and peering around the caravan with a dirty look. He didn't seem happy.
Ki took one look around at all the people and raised an eyebrow. She took in Zak and Caroline... then she glanced over at Zak... "Say... what's goin' on round here?"

"Funny ye should turn up, Ki, I was just mentionin' ye." She pauses a moment to kiss Van D'ien on the head. "This lad's in need of a home for a spell. I can help ye clean 'im up a bit, but I cannae take him in--my wagon's overflowing with feathers."
