Digital Malevolence Quote: What if musicians had to craft their music on their own time, with their own money, in home-made studios, without any hope for profit? What if music were created at home instead of in expensive studios? What if big-time studios became money-losers instead of money-makers? What if musicians had no choice but to work day jobs, jobs they despise, jobs that kill their souls...and then come home at night to write, to play, to rehearse, to record their music? All these relate to the music I make. We just bought a mixing board though so our tracks should be better....at least better then plugging a mic into a computer and just recording onto that....such horrible quality. i used to do this too. lately i've been more interested in free jams than in writing and recording anything though

What do you do in your jams? like, what type of music? depends on who i'm playing with, but it tends to be very blues based, though not necessarily a straight blues. i like to incorporate folk, ska, punk, and metal elements when i can, but it all really depends on which of my friends i'm jamming with and what mood we're in

My jams usually are metal, except when we break out into something random....like ZZ Top or something.

My music would be boring, mostly because I just fool around with the bass and I'm not very good at connecting and transitioning all my ideas together. I usually just discover a cool line that I like, play it over and over again like it's a mantra. Oh well, it's kinda like a relaxation ritual for me.

Nah, not at all drone. Just imagine a song like "Planet Caravan" if it was just the bassline and nothing else.

When I do it, it's either slow and droney, or if I do something faster it sounds kinda like old 70s type rock.
