C'mon! BB! You know you! Want to write? Something highly structured! And lyrical, yes! BUT I'd rather have the poem. THE POEM? The poem. I'd rather HAVE. Have? Have the poem. Poem do the work for me!

There's a boy named Jeff, Who I can't say is dumb, But in the sixth grade, He used to suck his thumb.
Jeff is a girl- I mean boy wink -Who is very lazy. He's very immature, And often really crazy.
He used to have a girlfriend, Who dumped him on the spot. Now he's pretty sad, And starting to rot a lot.
Everything you've read is very true. But Jeff, I'm your little sister! And I love you.
MOOOOO!!!!

I journey down into the Land of Zorb, Just looking for the part of myself, Lost to the sands of time. Deep down I know that The thing I chase never existed. Still, I play this Game, trying to cover up the truth laid vertically.

Mooby... you should totally get your Haiku published.
And, has anyone heard of Dylan Thomas?

Woe, I have never heard of him! *Makes a note to Wiki him later on*
I don't really have a favourite poet, but I have some favourite poems, like My Last Duchess (by Robert Browning), and a few others that I can not remember right now.

I just dreamed this poem up last night:
In Xanadu did Kubla Khan a stately pleasure-dome decree...
Oh, wait.

Oh my God! I love Dylan Thomas! I think one of my favourite poems by him is "And Death Shall Have No Dominion". It's beautiful.

So, favourite poets...
I'm not sure if I can count Shakespeare and Wilde, because they weren't exclusively known for poetry (and in Wilde's case, I believe, he wasn't known for his poetry at all). But I do love both of them, as much of a classic literature nerd that probably makes me.

I don't have any favorite poets, just favorite poems.
That being said, Shakespeare, a.k.a. Nikkun and C Chan's Bane.

METASTASIS
I once wrote a poem As fine as could be, About another such poem That was written by me.
And the best part about THAT poem, you see: It tells of a popular song That was written by me.
A song of a story About another song, About a handsome young lad Who was writing a long
Article about films With plots about books Of poems about novels Of a certain young cook's
Song about a poem That you don't want to miss; It was a wonderful poem That started like this:
"I once wrote a poem As fine as could be, About another such poem That was written by me."
