Did you know that Star Trek and Gundam have many similarites?
1. Both didn't do well in their first run
2. Both were huge succeses in re-runs and merchandise
3. Both took place in Space
4. Both had multiple spinoffs
5. Both had one spinoff that was more well known by younger viewers than the original
-Gundam Wing
-Star Trek: The Next Generation
6.Both have action figures and model kits
7. Shows that show similarity to them have been compared to them.
Macross - compared to - Gundam
Andromeda - compared to - Star Trek
8. Both changed the history of the country they came out in.

Very Very true - lots of inovations came about from them as well - cell phones flip up because kirks communicator did so - and other examples a less lazy version of myself would describe

Also, in Japan there's a MUSUEM dedicated to Gundam. Oh, and in the Anime district in Tokyo their official banner has a Gundam Head on it. 3nodding

Also the green dye for US currency comes from an Endangered butterfly. Its only endangered because of the need for this special dye
