T.A.T.U. for me still. It won't change until I get sick of it. I'm weird like that.

Darkened Angel T.A.T.U. for me still. It won't change until I get sick of it. I'm weird like that. I do that from time to time as well. 3nodding Sometimes, I'll even listen to the same tune for a while on repeat, until I can finally be arsed to change it! xd

Also, now administering: Prototype - Battery ( Metallica cover )
And now a related rant sort o' thing.
The thing about covers and remakes is that it is either: A.) A good, faithful rendition of the original, B.) An abominable deity-forsaken blasphemy that should never have seen the light of day, or C.) An excellent interpretation that is true to the overall feel of the original, but made into it's own by the coverer.
With that said, I'm pleased to say that what I'm currently listening to has elements of A and C.
And, while I tend to be pretty critical of most covers, the original version of this song is one I am uber protective of. You see, the original has a beautiful acoustic/classical guitar intro that sounds amazing. With that in mind, that is the one thing that I look for if you're re-doing this song.
I'm serious. If you cover this song and either A.) Butcher the acoustic intro, or B.) Even worse, omit it entirely, I will show absolutely no mercy. I will immediately dub your band to be made of noob and fail.
By contrast, if you can make it sound just as good as the original, or even better, improve on it, you will impress the hell out of me. 3nodding

That reminds me...
The bands of today need more talent. I'm sick of hearing a ton of crap on the radio that sounds awful, like it was written by a 3-year-old and sung by someone who could shatter windows just by talking. Ugh...

Ever have one of those days when you're in the mood for one particular artist/performer?
In my case, the answer is yes. And thus, I've been in a mood for Ronnie James Dio all day long! xd

More Dio genious! heart
Fell in love with a country girl, morning sunshine She was up from a nether world, just to bust another soul Her eyes were an endless flame, holy lightning Desire with a special name, made to snatch your soul away, yeah
We sailed away on a crimson tide, gone forever Left my heart on the other side, all to break it into bits Her smile was a winter song, a Sabbath ending Don't sleep or you'll find me gone, just an image in the air
In dreams I think of you I don't know what to do with myself Time has let me down She brings broken dreams, fallen stars, the endless search for where you are (sail on, sail on)
Fell in love with a country girl, morning sunshine She was up from a nether world, just to bust another soul Her eyes were an endless flame, unholy lady Desire with a special name, made to snatch your soul away, oh!
Don't sail away on a crimson tide! Don't leave your heart on the other side! Her eyes are an endless flame Desire with a special name Don't ever fall in love! Don't give your heart away! No never, never fall in love with a country girl!

Definetely know that feeling, Johnny. ^^
On a somewhat related note, sometimes I have a mood for covers of the same song by different people, just to see what takes folks put on things. 3nodding

Still got T.A.T.U. going.
I think the longest I played anything was about 3 months, and it was just Evanescence's " Bring Me To Life " over and over again, all night every night that I got online, which was usually over 6 hours.
