Just because he uses it as a melee weapon in DoC doesn't mean it's malformed. Also, I highly doubt that it was a robotic arm, because there's been almost three decades difference in technology from Vincent's time and Barret's time. Barret has only recently (as in within the most recent two years post meteor) gotten a mechanical arm, which is 30 years (30 based off of a translated timeline included with Final Fantasy VII: International) since Vincent was experimented on by Hojo. Could there have been some deformations in Vincent's arm? Yes, so long as it's able to fit in his glove and gauntlet. Hojo had wanted to turn Vincent into a monster, so he might have done something about that arm of his to make him more monstrous. However, he also just might have placed the gauntlet on to give him a more frightening appearance. It really depends.

Oh yes, please stay on topic, for those of you who are busy talking about killing Cloud and avenging Sephiroth. There are other threads to discuss those matters in, and it counts as spam when you get off topic like that.

Techinially I think it is a demon claw, because of what that hogo or whoever did to him that always him to change. just my opionion, because once again strawberri beat me to it.

... I personally think that the claw thing itself. The golden brace that extends halfway up his arm. I believe it's just armor. The claws themselves are just part of the glove he's wearing under the armor. Notice how the claws aren't even attached to the large golden plate. I think it's his version of a buckler.

Eh, why was this topic locked? I thought it was a pretty creative new topic. Oh well, I unlocked it. Sorry if another mod had an unbeknownst reason to lock it in the first place. neutral

I think (or hope) that he has a normal hand underneath. Of course, my personal theory is that Hojo superglued it on. Which is why Vincent never takes it off.
