There are a lot of cults based around Christianity of which Christians don't consider part of the same religion (Like the two girls at school who think Catholicism is a cult and their form of Christianity came before it, which is most likely untrue, and Catholicism IS a legit form a Christianity. D:< ...There are a bunch of people who consider Jehovah's Witnesses cult followers, along with Mormons, and I know a few girls who are pissed that they were born a Mormon because the only way to get out of it is doing something REALLY awful, and their family will, like, shun them or something.)

ANYWAYS, if mine were based around drugs, I wouldn't get much people who're in it for the Lord, but more just to get high. confused I'd allow drug users and generally out-casted members of society in, but I would hope that it would be a place where they can find peace.

Peace...
Isn't that what the thread's about?

Yup. Even I would consider Christianity (and I would usually under no circumstances commit to a religion) if you church became a...church.

See Washu anything could bring happiness. So sitting in a bong circle or taking esctasy and raving. Is another form of Peace. One where all are welcome. And none are pushed aside. A real sanctuary.

Exactly. Even though I still hold that peace is unfathomable and unnatainable, that kind of thing would bring us all a sense of belonging.

Well, I could understand if it were just a hangout, really. Since it's illegal, I can't really fund it or anything.

...
Salvia is legal, though.

I think it sounds absolutely beautiful.
You'd need a lot of finance though, or else it would basically turn into a crack den.

Yes it wouldn't be a charity we would have to help our poorer members. But they don't get to smoke for free.

Alright, my internet has been stupid lately and won't let me post things, it likes to close out on me and I've finally had some extra time...so anyways...

Here's my take on religions...I believe in the Christian God. BUT I believe that everyone else has a righ in what to believe in, and I do not think my god is the only right god. A god needs believers to follow in order to have any kind of 'power' so, if your god has any believers/followers, then alright, there's another god! If you believe in no god, and it works for you, then that's fine I won't judge you. I don't believe if you follow one god (or no god) you are any more superior or inferior to anyone else. I find every religion has loopholes and unreasonable points. Now if you break down the Christianity aspect, things get way more outrageous I feel. We all believe in the same god, so why do things have to get so tedious?

I've been raised a Catholic, but now I choose not to be anymore. My mom and a lot of family is really upset, but I don't understand some of their things. I believe they are sexist, they can't let a woman be a preist? I think it's unfair that to be a preist you cannot marry and have to completely dedicate your life to god. I also REALLY don't understand that during lent you cannot eat meat on Fridays, except fish. I mean...since when aren't fish animals?! Haha they are animalist! XD

Alright back to one of the first posts:
Yes, I know victim_of_america, you cannot move because of parents, money, etc. But why do you continue on critisizing the United States? Your point of freedom of speech...school is a sanctuary for students, well it's supposed to be. Did you critisize these religions? If not, don't just assume your school is ALL of what America is. When you graduate, you are free to do what you want! You can see the world for what it's worth, you can do what you want in the United States. Now there are things that aren't appropriate to say and you can get into trouble for some of those things, but for the most part those rules are pretty tolerable, if you feel you must break those laws for whatever reason...well then that's your own thing, but don't judge America on it.

Now for the war, it was not religion that started it, well...the Muslims dying for their religion in the first place was, but this isn't about America trying to get Christianity to take over...it's about whatever Bush really feels like it's about...oil reasons, or whatever the hell he thinks now.

Peace will never happen, even though so many of us dream of it and just have hope for it. Majority of the people in the world aren't open enough and won't accept people for who they are and aren't open to change. A lot of humanity is full of rasists, sexists, etc. People believe their way of thinking is the only RIGHT way and that isn't true. You cannot 'teach' or 'train' people to be open minded either. The world is not and sadly, will not be a perfect place. The best we can do is try to help the people who have fallen to ill-treatment in the world and make their lives better. As you can see I'm not just mentioning America in this, the world has been in it together.

So if you leave America, you will still face the same problems all over the world, you'll just view it in a different aspect, for better or worse. Don't ever forget that there are always people in poverty here, people with aids, people victims to hidious crimes, etc! We do not have the worst of it here, but we still have it. Being here though you haven't been as vulernable to these types of things. What have you REALLY been a victim of? Besides high gas prices and lies from a 'leader' who will soon be gone? Just seriously, please think of that.

I respect your opinions and views too victim, but I just think you are a little too harsh on America.

Thank you guys! I really appreciate knowing that people read and are interested in my opinion. I'm sorry that I didn't space it well enough? I did it by paragraphs, so I don't know what more you wanted me to do.

I watched this one thing on TV today, that my mom had recorded about superstitions. It was amazing how many of the smallest superstitions like, walking under a ladder, evolved from early Christianity and religion. I do like how the one guy talked about god...damnit I can't really remember now...when I get home I'll watch that part again and tell you what it was. It basically summed up everything I have to say about religion into a few sentences.
