I can understand why family members would marry though! Because it's kinda hard to let go of your siblings and family when you grow up. I say let them do whatever they want to! Let freedom ring!!

Ok. I think that People should be able to marry whoever they want. or whatever they want. Love shouldn't have any boundaries. If somebody is in love with their brother/sister/cousin then if their brother/sister/cousin loves them back. they should be able to get married.

I think the "ewww factor" is one of the first things you think about because thats the kind of society we live in. People have taught others that anything that is different is either gross, bad, or a sin.

I also think that religion has a huge part in this. I haven't read the bible in a while (so don't quote me on this, but feel free to tell me the truth if i'm wrong) but i don't think that it says anywhere "cousins can't marry" or "people of the same sex can't marry" or even that "a person and an object cant marry". i personally don't believe in the whole christian religion. but pretty much everybody else in america does. even people who don't believe in anything make decisions based on what we have been taught, and our culture goes along with christian religion in a lot of different ways.

Forgive our sins

If older women have the same range of defects cousins should be able to get married. I dont believe they'll make older women forced not to have children so why force cousins to not love?

well...of course it's weird...but if those 2 love each-other...i won't marry any of my cousins because i think they are foolish mortals and ugly people *cought* sweatdrop you didn't heard that, don't you...nvm...anyways...i heard last year at theology class that getting married with a relative is wrong at your kids will have problems...health problems...o_O

I read incest/twincest fanfiction. If cousins want to marry, they should be able too, same thing with having kids....though the birth defect thingy steers me off of that

When you have a better chance of producing an offspring with better genetics with some more random mate, with better chance for future survival..
When there's 6 billion people on this planet and it's increasing exponentially, survival is NOT something that's a concern.

Another bullshit reason.

And another one born every second.
