"Oh" she said, trying to figure out what family really meant. "I couldn't stand being with some random soquili for so long. I mean I GUESS I can understand mates, because I mean, you chose them, alkthough I do think mates are just for show. Anyway, any relatives might as well be strangers that got stuck together. I am grateful to have none" she said, getting up.
"Ick! I got those stupid little blades ALL OVER ME!" she nearly screamed, shaking to get the peices off, then carfully picking them off with her teeth. "That was a HORRID idea, don't do that again, servant!" she said, trying to get it all off her. "And when are we going to get to that stupid feild of flowers? I want to put flowers in your hair!" she complained, getting frustrated with the whole ordeal.

Yiska found it a little odd that someone wouldn't want to have family, of any sort. He had heard of some Soquili that even though they weren't related by blood, there were brothers, sisters, children of others.
Her loud shrieks hurt his ears which flicked back tight against his skull. A small chuckle bounced around in his mind as he watched her flail about trying to get the blades of grass off of her. "Sorry."
A small smirk curled the corner of his mouth slightly. Nearly impossible to see unless you looked hard as he tried to hide it the best he could. Turning around, he flicked his tail and his ears perked up again. "Come on. It's not too far now." Which was the truth. The field of flowers was maybe a few minutes walk away from where they had stopped. And with that he started off at a light trot leaving the squacking mare to follow at her leisure.

"Hey! Wait for me, Servant!" she demanded, trotting after him and letting the blades fall off her with her movement. "Do you have ANY idea how TRAGIC that incident could have been? What if I got grass stains on my fur?!?!" she said, eyes widening in horror.
"Are you SURE we are close?" she demanded again, no quite beliving him. "Because you said we were close a bunch of times before. And we wern't. And I got tired. And you said it yourself, you're stupid and think long is short. Or something like that." she said, getting tired already again. And when Tiffany was tired, she got quite winey.
"This field better be good. And there better be yellow flowers. Because I want to put those in your mane and tail. I already said that, didn't I? I don't care, you will hear it again" she whined, trudging along behind him.

"Stains wash off." He said nonchilantly as he trotted along. Tail moving back and forth with each step he took. Yiska had kind of gotten a bit used to her yelling, kind of tuning it out a bit unless something was demanded of him.
Not two minutes later and soon he stopped at the edge of the flower field. It seemed to stretch for miles on end covered with the spring's wild flowers. Almost like a rainbow of the sorts that had spread itself across the ground, every color imaginable seemed to be there. Small groups of trees and grassy green spots littered the field but not so much to take up too much space where the flowers grew. While a small babbling river cut a zig zag path through it. Crystal clear water splashing about and making a soft bubbling noise.
"We're here." He looked lazily upon the flowers. Flowers in his mane. Well, he could just take them out later anyway. Though he wondered how exactly she was going to put them in his mane.

"But you don't get it do you? For however long you have those stains, you look like a complete.... oh my" she said in astonishment as they managed to get to the feild. It was almost as pretty as she was. But of course not quite as pretty, since nothing was.
"Ohhh! Look!" she squeeled in elight, trotting over to a few large yellow flowers. She picked on with her mouth, ran directly over to Yiska, and jammed it cruely into his mane and neck.
"Gorgeous!" she said in delight, going back to get another. Oh this would be a blast, and he would look positivly wonderful afterwards, maybe even good enough to be considered only a few positions under herself, what an honer he would have!
"This IS a nice feild!" she exclaimed, taking a moment to look at it. Why did so many flowers grow in just one space? It would really be the perfect place for Tiffany to spend her time in, surrounded by the flowers that complimented her beauty.

Yiska hadn't even taken a few steps into the field before the mare had taken off, ripped up some flowers and jammed them into his mane cruelly. His body shifted as she did so and he gave a soft sigh. At least he could take them out later, she might have a fit but oh well. He could just say they weren't put in properly and fell out. Either way.
He eyed her curiously as she spazzed out over the flowers, a curious eyebrow raising. "I'm glad you like it then...." The stallions ears swivled this way and that as he listened to the sound of birds singing in nearby trees. At least this was a good sign. Once those birds stopped he knew it would be time to quickly move along, even if she did protest.

((Sorry for the lack of color, I am on the school computer and I am to lazy to get hte code for it/ can't remember it))
Tiffany scurried back and forth, carfully decorating his mane with different kinds of yellow flowers. "Gorgeous gorgeous!" she said again, entrilled to be able to do this. After she felt satisfied with his mane, she put some in his tail.
"This feild is amazing!" she said, absolutly enthrilled to be surrounded by all the flowers. Even the the air seemed to be glowing, and it was thick with the flowers
aroma. "Not amazing as me though, naturally."
"How did you find this place, anyway?" she asked wondering why such a crude stallion would have ever been in such a feminine and beautiful place. Maybe his mother had taken him there?

The stallion kept watching her as she raced back and forth. Now that she was satisfied with his mane, she had started work on his tail. How...emberassing. He hoped that no one came along and saw him like this.
"I just stumbled upon it one day while I was out and about." In the midst of the mad dash of Tiffany decorating his hair, Yiska hadn't noticed till just that instant that the birds had stopped singing. His ears perked in a slight panick as he tried to pick out even the tiniest little chirp from any bird nearby. But nothing. Giving a slight nicker, he looked at the mare. "I think we need to leave now...." The silence was deafening and now took on an almost buzz like sound to it. Watching from the shadows, Valarauco had been watching the pair of Soquili for only a moment. His presance dark and foreboading, enough to make the area grow silent of any noise.
The Kalona had quietly snaked his way closer and was nose standing amungst the flowers. The stallion out of the two would probably see him first while the mare had her back to him. A large, toothy grin came across his face as he snapped his spaded tail back and forth.
He was black. And not only that, his skin seemed to crack all over revealing bright red and orange spider webbed cracks. His membrane like wings were folded tightly against his back as red eyes seemed to glow. "Hello." His voice seemed to rumble and boom from deep within his chest as he acknowledged the pair. That same wide grin spreading across his face revealing those razor sharp teeth.

Tifffany was fiddling with a flower that just wouldn't set itself into Yiska's tail. She hadn't really noticed the sudden silence. In fact, she was so caught up in herself that she never noticed the birds too much in the first place. But Yiska seemed to be acting quite funny. Ah, whatever,
"Leave?" she said, totally taken aback. But they just got here! No, no way were they leaving now. "Why in the WORLD would we leave? What a stupid idea, I mean, you would like like an idiot trotting around with a half fini-" she stopped. Her ears were harrassed with a low, unearthy voice. From behind her. The mare moved forward, brushing up slightly against Yiska.
Tiffany wasn't one to get scared. Even most Kalonas didn't faze her too much. But she had suddenly became fully aware of the silence, and the tension Yiska was radiating. She moved forward quicker, now nearly behind him. She turned around to look.
The mare's eyes grew wide, seeing the most devilish creature she had ever had the misfortune to lay her eyes upon. The very sight sent chills down her spine. His mane blazed like fire atop his head, and his very skin seemed to be shattered and burning.
"Yiska" she said in a hushed tone. "Make it go away"

A small chill ran along the stallions spine as he locked eyes with the Kalona infront of them. He had heard many stories about them, but had never really faced on himself.And even now, it seemed more terrifying to be confronting one than it was to hear about them. They were horried creatures, though some of them did have some sort of restraint as he was told by his parents. But you could never tell which one acted which way. They were all like a group of mixed nuts.
As Tiffany moved more behind him, he didn't even flinch as she brushed up against him. His ears were perked now as the muscles in his back legs started to tense up. "When I tell you to run, run. Don't question me, just do it. We really have no chance against him without getting seriously injured or worse." His voice was low, hopefully low enough so that the stranger couldn't hear him.
Valarauco eyed the pair more intensly before he had locked eyes with Yiska. The spaded end of his tail moveing back and forth like a metranome that was keeping beat to an unheard song.
"Well now. What are two tasty bites like you doing out here?" That wicked grin appeared once again after he spoke. This Kalona did have restraint, but it had been quite a while since he had last eaten and there was nothing more tastier than another Soquili's flesh.
His blazing eyes turned towards the mare as he gave a breathy laugh. Small embers falling from between his teeth as smoke rose from his nostrils. "You look absolutly frightened my dear. Why?"

Tiffany was terrified. Unfortunetly, she was still Tiffany. "I...I am better then him" she said to Yiska quietly. It was as if she was trying to be her normal, cocky self, but didn't want him to quite hear. She just had to remind Yiska that she was.
When the Kalona spoke, she felt her whole body quiver for a moment. A bit of mud could have gotten on her hoof, and she might not even have noticed. Maybe. "I...I am am frightened..by.." don't say it Tiff, she thought to herself. Bad time, don't say it "frightened by" very bad time, don't say it. Don't say it. DON'T SAY IT "How tragic your hairdo is"
She said it.
The mare knew immediatly she made a mistake. She didn't even have to wait for his reaction, she was already backing up, her muscles quivering, ready to run away. But she needed to wait for Yiska's word, right?

Her responce had knocked Yiska way out into left field! He definatly hadn't expected that! A quick glance was shot at her before his eyes darted back to the Kalona. He probably didn't care, but still. You never knew.
Flicking his tail a few times, he took a few steps back to get a bit of distance between them.
The Kalona raised an eyebrow curiously before errupting into a loud and boisterous laugh. A laugh so deep the leaves on nearby trees seemed to shiver. His eyes locked on the mare again as he smirked widly. "Oh don't worry my dear. You won't have to see it much longer where you're going."
Valarauco flared out his webbed wings as his tail made a sickening crack against the ground. Uprooting nearby flowers and sending their petals flutter to the gound. His muscles tightened as a dark tongue flicked out from between his lips and licked his teeth.
That was it! Yiska couldn't take it anymore. Turning quickly, he nudged Tiffany. "Now! Run!" With that, he took off like a shot, heading for the trees. He might not have been the greatest of runners or had much ease in dodging trees, but he could hope that perhaps the large Kalona would have a harder time than them.

She shrunk back, now REALLY regretting her comment. But she HAD to say it! Even if you pure evil, you had to at least care a bit about your hair. Right? Right?!?
She felt Yiska's nudge, and then her ran. She was planted on the ground for a moment or so, before going after him. "Hey! Wait for ME! I am SO much more IMPORTANT!" she yelled, then, still running, looked back at the Kalona quickly.
"Don't eat me, I havn't got any fat on me, and my skin has been TOTALLY dry lately!" she said, although that wasn't true. Her skin was perfectly moisterized, she would NEVER let it get dry! Hopefully the Kalona was too stupid to realize it. Seriously, who would want a skinny mare with dry skin. No one! Hoplefully.
The mare dove into the trees, and in the blur of black and green, and suddenly lost complete site of her companion. "Yiska? Yiska! Where ARE you? I can't see you!" she screamed frantically, suddenly going to a dead end. A big rock wall in front of her. Uh oh.
The mare began to move to the side, she must have turned the wrong way or something. But the wall seemed to strech on so long, and the forest was thick. All she could hope was that the Kalona had listened to the whole dry skin thing and decided to chase after Yiska.

Without even having looked back to see if she was behind him, Yiska trudged through the trees and over grown brush. His tail whipping wildly behind him. But then...he could only hear his own hoot beats against the ground and skid to a stop. Turning in a wild circle, he looked for any sign of Tiffany. "Damnit..."
With a jolt, he bolted back the way he had come. The faint sound of shrieks guiding him to her location. If he was right, the Kalona would still be right on their tail. And would probably go after Tiffany. Simple logic. Divide and concur. That's how predatory animals hunted.
The loud screams had lead Valar right to the panicky mare. Stepping out from the shadows, he gave a wide grin as he watched her. She was trapped. Perfect. This would be too easy. There was no escape now.
"Now now. No need to scream." The high pitched shrieks did hurt his ears a bit, but that didn't matter. "If you don't stop I'll have to rip out your tongue first." The large Kalona paced back and forth infront of the only exit from the little corner the mare had gotten herself into. Almost as if daring her to try and escape. With every pace, he moved closer. Snapping his jaws together in one quick motion as he shot his head forward just out of reach then drew it back .

Tiffany pressed her body against the wall, for once in her life only vaugly aware that it made her dirty. Great, now she was going to die. And be dirty. At least her hair was ok.
"Get away from me!" she screamed again, ignoring what the Kalona had said about her tounge being ripped out. She kicked at him as well as she could, which wasn't very well. It was more like she was pawing at the air that he sometimes occupied, and didn't make contact.
"YISKA YOU b*****d, GET OVER HERE!" she shrieked, horrified that he had abandoned her, or at least as far as she knew. The Kanona's mane and flesh glowed even more in the slight shadow that the corner had taken on. His fiery whip semed to glow like a huge gash where his heart should have been.
"Don't come any closer, do you have any idea how special I am?" she whined, turning around, preparing to kick him if she needed too. She had never really gotten in a fight before, but she had seen others. If this demon was going to try to hurt her, she wouldn't go down with out a fight. Even if it ment messing up her hair.
