:: Sienne had been sitting on the porch when Gem appeared. She knew he had taken off and was going to give him an earful, but she kept quiet as she saw the look on his face and heard him comment ::

:: Quietly, she gets up and walks to him and places a hand on his shoulder as he had his back turned ::

"You are doing what you were destined to do Gem. You are leading your people. Look at them. Remember, there was a time when you were hated Gem. We were afraid of you. We wanted to destroy you. Now, we follow you. Why? Because you have proven to us that you are the real deal. You are fighting not only for the Jaguar Clan, but for the Tiger Clan, the Lion Clan, the Avians and every other Clan that's still out there. And these simple farmers will do everything they can to help you. You asked, were you doing the right thing? The answer is ... Yes."

:: She squeezes Gem's shoulder reassuringly and then without warning *smacks* the back of his head ::

"Now that we got that out of the way. MARCH your butt back inside and get some damn rest! Didn't think I'd find out eh? Thought you were slick. You forget, I'm in 'tuned' to you and my dear husband. You can't do a thing without me knowing it"

:: With a stern look on his face and her arms folded tightly over each other, she watches the Leader of the Clans enter his home and closes the door behind him ::

:: She shakes her head lightly and snickers a bit ::

"Spirits .. help me with this one ... he's as bad as an adolescent. Hmmm speaking of which ... where is my mate?"

:: She scans the area from the porch and makes her way towards the tents nearest the forest ::

:: Having been standing near the edge of the treeline, Edwin had seen Lyse gliding out of the sky. He was making his way to her when he heard her comment ::

"We do our best to be as friendly as possible Lady Lyse"

:: He bows and smiles as he straightens up again and folds his hands behind his back ::

"It is good to see you again, M'Lady. Are you here to inspect your troops or here to see Lord Gem?"

:: Edwin scans the area ::

"I believe Gem may have been sequestered in the house. Sienne is keeping him inside to get some rest. He expended a lot of his energy yesterday getting us here safely. You may want to check there first"

"He's not to be disturbed Lyse. Even if it is his commanding officer"

:: Sienne stretches her catlike frame and walks over to Lyse and smiles ::

"Trust me. He needs it. You can talk to him a bit later. Actually, you can bring him his lunch when I get it fixed. Meanwhile, you can take a look around. Meet some of the people, you'll be training"

:: Sienne shooed Lyse off the porch like a mother hen ::

:: After having been placed under 'house arrest' Gem made use of his time and actually did get some rest ::

:: Getting up, he stretched as he made his way to the door. Opening it slowly as he peeks out ::

"Hmmm ... no sign of Sienne"

:: Slowly he cracks the door open a bit more. The door creaks. He grits his teeth as he makes his way out and turns to close the door behind him. He makes his way down the porch ...."

:: Gem freezes in his steps and scrunches his neck at being hit again before raises his hand to the back of his head ::

"HEY!!!! That's not fair!"

:: He frowns at Sienne and scowls at her ::

"I wasn't going anywhere. Except maybe back to the Defiant. And before you give me a lecture, I have a good excuse why."

:: Gem nods and becomes serious for the moment ::

"Someone was attacked at the Defiant. Vikki may have been there, I don't know ... but in any event, I was going back to check on the young girl that was hurt. She passed out before I could get any information from her."
